Who would win? THe crafty Autobot scout, or a walking behemoth?

Hmm...
While Bumblebee isn't exactly your autobot military strongman by any stretch, Battletech weapons technology is hopelessly weak, lacking both range and striking power. Not to mention the fact that all 'Mechs run off exceptionally innefficient reactors, and use completely ablative armor. And 90% of assault mechs are SLOOOOOW.
Essentially, Bumblebee wins by playing the waiting game. He uses his superior speed and agility to avoid the mech's weapons while staying out of range for the majority of them, then tears into the cockpit when it eventually overheats.

I don't think this is a fight. Either Bumblebee runs, and he gets away; or he attacks, and the Mech stomps him.

Depends on the assualt mech. Bumblebee would easily defeat a Charger, but he's helpless against a Direwolf, Grand Titan or Blood Asp.
