OK, I don't know if this is against the rules or not but I want to make a Transformers comic and I have a ton of ideas but I need some help in the department of designs and art. So I was wondering if anyone was interested they could PM me or talk to me on msn and I'd give them some basics of my idea and let them decide for their selves if they wanted to be a part of it or not.

I'll give you a basic idea of the somewhat already laid out story.

It's set in an Alternate Universe, though closely resembling the original universe of Transformers. Following the reconstruction of Optimus Prime to stop the hate plague, Optimus and the Autobots as wells as Galvatron and the Decepticons are both lured onto a dying planet by an unknown adversary where they must not only fight him and his self made forces, but survive a deadly lack of energon as well as constant forces of nature including landslides, flash floods, acid rain and earth quakes while a mysterious force makes its way to Cybertron. Both Autobots and Decepticons must work together to escape this desolate planet inhabited by an unknown force, but how long will this partnership last?

This is only the beginning of the series, other parts will see the creation of new Gestalsts, a transformer created by Unicron being turned back into his original form and a partnership formed by the Vok and Quintessons.

Ok, I have had one person PM me so far stating their interest in the project and 2 friends are currently helping as often as they can, one helps me with brain storms and the other does character art for me and has done a character or 2 for me, one being Optimus Prime, still not finished yet, and the other character I will not share the name of. I'm hoping more of you will want to get in touch with me either through seibertron PM function or over msn messenger. If you are interested or think you are interested then contact me for more details and we'll see what happens, I'm not looking to make any money off this series but merely wanting to bring forth my ideas while providing fans of the series with a source of entertainment. I hope to gain more interest in the series as time progresses and maybe even have a full team of writers and artists working together to bring this series into life. Any and all who join the team to make this series happen will have my full gratitude and I will greatly value any and all input and feedback they bring to the table, thank you for reading.

Ok heres is a concept pic of Nemesis Prime in bot mode by one of our artists. It's not finished yet but I like where it's heading.

Sounds like a cool idea, is it still gonna happen as im quite fond of drawing but lack my own ideas and i have been wanting to draw some cool Transformers for a while now.

I have been told im a pretty good "artist" but i dont think so, but being able to fetch 50 bucks for a commission must count for something.

I will PM ya and we can talk.

OK, current roster for "Transformers: Recoil" is as follows:

Sylus - Project Leader and head Writer
The Almighty Ant - co writer
Xion Deathbringer - Artist, Inker
Sonray - Artist
GrimSqueaker - Artist
Dead Metal - Concept Artist
Optimus Frimal - Writer
Zombie Starscream - Writer
As it stands we need a few more writers and maybe another artist/inker.

If you have any skills or any input please feel free to PM we with them, or if you have an original character or character design that you would like to see in Recoil feel free to send in a sketch along with a little bit of information about the said bot.

i have finished the sketch of Alt' Wheeljack i said id do, but i havnt inked it yet as my hand is starting to hurt from drawing all the small details.

If i get the time i will ink it tomorrow and then send it to ya. I might post it up in here as well in its own thread whilst introducing myself too.

It's funny how this thread has been up for over a month yet people didn't really start applying until they saw a concept for Nemesis Prime. Well now we have lots of artists and inkers but we still need some writers, so anyone who wants to join in and help write some of the stories please feel free to make a post or PM me.

Well the pic I have already showed is from Xion Deathbringer, and the rest can post a link to their art if they feel the need to do so, I have already listed the artists in a previous post.

oh, duh i forgot about that list.

Ok i just looked at their profiles via the memberlist search tool and i cant find any of their art. For such a large project there isnt much access to the other people we're working with, and not much communication between the artists either...

My art sample will be posted later btw, in black and white as i cant use my tablet as its broken.

Ok, here is my sample. I was going to draw him in Alt mode and photoshop in the mustang in the background but i couldnt be bothered.

Maybe next time.

This is my first ever drawing of a transformer of any kind so please forgive any crude anatomical or proportional mistakes i have made.

I think that its good, definitely a unique style and like Sylus said, it seems slightly rushed, but even so, I think it could work brilliantly, if given slightly more time next time. Also, the mid section is slightly out of proportion. But over all, a very good effort.

Funny you should say it looks rushed, because i feel like i spent quite a long time on it. Then again i dont have much sense of time, since i never work on anything straight, and only do small bits of work on a pic in short sessions.

And yeah i knew it looked disproportionate as soon as i finished sketching in all the detail, but i wasnt willing to erase and re-draw so much work just to correct a small mistake, especially since its my first ever drawing of a TF.

Im a bit rusty as i havnt drawn anything in a while thanks to mental health issues, so dont expect me to be able to churn these out daily when we get started.

Like i told sylus id be more suited to the larger projects, like cover art and large set piece images, that way i can take time on them and not ruin everyone elses drawing schedule.

I like the cover idea, I think that covers would suit your style perfectly
