She'd be the only one out of the Juniors/standalone Titan Masters to require one, though.

Yeah, but it doesn't mean it won't happen. If anything shouldn't the fact that they only have to retool one make it more likely?

My gut says quite the opposite, if only to maintain design trends. So far, only the Classic Headmasters got retools, but none of the Juniors as they were screen-accurate already. Time will tell I guess

I'm only just thinking of this now; what makes up the front of the ship? At first it seemed like something that would commonly be made up by the feet but now I'm realising they're a completely different colour and shape.

the front of the ship seems to make the back of the feet and legs, with the front of the shins folding under the ship

Takara Transformers head designer Hisashi Yuki has posted new photos on twitter of Legends LG26 Scourge. There is still a bit of time to go before he ships from Japan, since the release date is late August 2016, but this does give us some extra angles to examine the differences in deco from the Hasbro version , which is also added below for comparison. This deco is dead on in imitating the G1 cartoon. Even to the point of changing the Titanmaster's arms to a very light blue to better contrast with Scourge's helmet, making his face look far less square. The inside of his wings are fully painted too. Let us know which version you intend on getting!

The Titans Return Scourge looks good, but I'll probably wait till this one is on sale. The Generations Deluxe Scourge still rocks it.

Gone Takara. My mate can get me one for pretty much Hasbro price, and that deco is far, far superior. Not because it's G1, but because it's not monochrome to the point it looks like an unfinished prototype (like Hasbro Blurr does aswell).

Also, his gun becomes a flight stand? Pretty cool. I did not know about that feature.

That's not the gun, it's the front of his legs, they just sit underneath him and prop him up like the runners on a helicopter.

Glad I've pre-ordered Takara's version. It's better than the Hasbro one. Not as huge an improvement as Blurr but still an improvement.

Someone on TFW did a really interesting comparison between highbrow and scourge to show the parts they share. This obviously doesnt make them retools as their transformation is totally different but it does show that Hasbro is finding a way of reusing resources without making everything the same mold, which I think is great and I have no problem with.

That's cool. It's not noticeable in the way that head retools are and if anyone's complaining about them sharing hands and shoulders I don't know what to think.
... not sure what this is doing on the Legends thread instead of Titans Return, though.

Titans TT Dev had the visor + optic gimmick incorporated into him. Could it be possible for Fortress to have both HM and RB version head included?

You would need two versions of Spike for that. Those Titan masters are simply not large enough for any kind of face swapping gimmick. Unless it's a straight rip his face plate off ala MP style. But They might be too fragile for that, I don't know. But since Takara never got Rebirth, I'd say it's safe to assume they are just gonna do the Fortress head for the 'Cerebros' robot stage, unlike Devastator where the Takara series got him swapping around eyes/visor.
