Just because it was in the past doesn't mean they have to do only what is bound in said past they could easily give Nemesis Prime the G2 body and no one would care.
On the contrary. People DO care. Back when this TR Voyager Optimus mold was first revealed, people saw its influence in the G2 Laser Optimus body and wanted it done as RiD Scourge/CR Black Convoy. Not Nemesis Prime, Scourge. Specifically the guy from RiD 2001/Car Robots cartoon. Because, unlike virtually every other guy ever called "Nemesis Prime" back, Scourge was a legit character, and a COOL one at that! He had focus, development, his own long-running arc and agenda. He was a full-fledged
character, whereas a proceeding "Nemesis Primes" of the 2000s were less actual "characters" more just mere "concepts", evil black Optimus Prime lookalikes made for the sake of it.
You can color any old Optimus Prime toy and call it "Nemesis Prime" all you want, but anytime there's a new toy based directly on G2 Laser Optimus Prime, any evil black redeco of that has GOT to be Scourge and it's got to look like Scourge, cuz that's
his look, and he makes it look so good.
