Vinyl records are coming back in style, an electronics chain here has had them for years. Yes, people still own record players, and modern ones are available to buy. Some people just like staying old-fashioned, like some Transformer fans only wanting vintage

now if only they would release the dark of the moon score on cd.
very true. there are several actual "record" stores in my city, and if the masses werent aware many of todays artists still release their albums on vinyl. even some of the bigger stores like HMV have a vinyl section.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Vinyl records are coming back in style, an electronics chain here has had them for years. Shouldn't this have been released in the 1980's cause this is out of place in modern times since vinal records are obsolete or near being obsolete
The good news is that it comes out on my birthday. Yay me?

Burn wrote:Vinyl offers the BEST sound quality as it's a direct impression of the sound wave.
CD's and MP3's, even lossless ones still don't have the quality that vinyl does as quality gets lost in the conversion.
So yes, there is a very large niche market out there for vinyl and you have better chance of finding record players in electronic stores than you do cassette players or even discmans.
