If it was released at your regular brick and mortar stores like Walmart or TRU then sure it's a legit sighting and a good reason to post it to the front page. However in this case it is not.
Does that mean we can
never ever post sightings of Quickslinger and Brakeneck? Because those guys will only come to collectables stores and will never be found in store at Walmart and TRU.
Also a collectible retail store is still
a retail store. Anyone in the area can go there and pick him up locally without having to go through shipping/customs/exchange/preorders/paypal/credit cards, just as you would with TRU or Walmart.
To be honest - no. Sure, post news when an online sponsor has them in stock, that makes sense... but to post when one small comic book or collectible store gets a figure in stock does not.
Not to beat a dead horse but when I was on the News Staff one of or rules for posting sightings to the front page was that those sightings had to come from a chain retail outlet like Target or Walmart, not a specialty shop like a comic book shop. Since these stores order from a supplier over seas it's not so much a sighting as it is a special order from RobotKingdom.
But hey, if the rules have changed then please, by all means post away.
But that also means you should post if Silver Snail in Toronto gets a box of wave three deluxe in or a comic book shop in Chicago gets a box of Ultra Magnus, ya know?
