Prime League: Coming Soon!

At last the new top tier war league - Prime League - will go live this Thursday with a content release. Prime League is no joke, only reserved for our very top and most skilful alliances! If you lose one battle in Prime League you are immediately demoted back to Cybertron League.
Minimum alliance members to join Prime League is 30.
Rewards for winning a war in Prime League:

• 1,000 Premium Shards
• 30,000 Spark
• 400,000 Alloy
• 400,000 Energon

Prime League Effects
Prime League has special effects that apply to defense buildings to make the war there a bit more challenging. The effect at launch will be the following:
All defense buildings get a 5% increase to DPS

New Bots: Rook & Blot
One is a fearless Protectobot and the other is a vile Terrorcon, Rook & Blot are joining the Earth Wars at the end of the current saga!


One of the most instinctive strategists in the Autobot Earth forces, Rook's analytical/tactical mind belies his tendency to sometimes break ranks and charge headlong into the oncoming enemy forces.

Not that Rook has much to fear from incoming fire. His durabyllium armor plating can withstand punishing blasts and hold up under crushing weight, and normally at the forefront of his mind is pulling some injured party from harm's way, a feat he accomplishes by switching to his equally armored vehicle mode and utilizing his powerful hydraulic claw. It's all in a day's work for this fearless and selfless Protectobot.


Blot is a mess. No two ways about it. Emotionally and physically.

His unfortunate habit of leaking bodily fluids (oil, hydraulic and Primus knows what else) exacerbates his already low self-esteem, and so he presents a generally apathetic instinct to hygiene generally.

It doesn't help that Blot is unintelligent and slovenly, and prone to suffer breakdowns from lack of fluid. But he is very strong, loyal and agile, his piercing claws enabling Blot to climb virtually any vertical structure, making him overall useful for the Terrorcons to have around. In robot mode he's armed with a slime gun that fires a stream of odious corrosive liquid.

Bug Fixes / Updates


The following bug fixes/updates are coming to the game soon.

Slash & Rippersnapper could be targeted by Raid buildings during their abilities.
The Slowdown Photon Silver Core now changes the beam laser colour from orange to blue (now similar to the Bronze and Gold Core).
Previously, Lugnut received the squad effect of the Warrior cores. Since he is of the Special Class, he is now solely affected by the effect of the Special Class Squad Core.
Previously, Elita-1 received the squad effect of the Warrior and Special Class cores. Since she is of the Special Class, she is now solely affected by the effect of the Special Class Squad Core.

• 5* Perceptor and Bombshell’s ability cost increase is now 2 instead of 3, in line with the other star level.

New Bots: Rook & Blot
Ready your team for the two newest recruits to join the Earth Wars - Rook & Blot!
There will be a challenge battle available later this week for you to take our newest Protectobot and Terrorcon for a test ride!

Explosive Decoy
Place a decoy that has 65% of your Health and attracts defences. When destroyed, it explodes dealing damage in a large area. Only one decoy can be active at a time.

Bug Fixes / Updates

The following bug fixes/updates are coming to the game soon.

Raid Beam Laser may now retarget between each attack, making abilities such as Pipes’ Defensive Rush work on them.
The HQ equipped with the Point Defense Beam or the Omni-Flamer core could target Slash/Rippersnapper even in their stealth mode.
Slash and Rippersnapper critical hit in their ability mode was dealing less damage than announced in the ability description. We have increased the damage dealt in order to match the ability description.

• We have fixed an issue where Huffer/Lockdown dying was killing Blaster/Soundwave's minions.

Bug Fixes / Updates

The following bug fixes/updates are coming to the game soon.

Cybertron Starscream stun and damage buff
This fix is already live

• Bombshell and Perceptor confuse ability could stack with other confuse ability (forcing defences into unexpected behaviour). This will no longer be the case this Thursday.
• Silverbolt and Thundercracker special ability damage over time ticks at a faster cadence than before bringing the damage closer to the amount in the description text.
• After the end of their ability, Slash and Rippersnapper will no longer retarget outpost bots across the map.
• The grenade reach of Hook/Ratchet/Shockwave/Wheeljack now matches the range of their special abilities. This means the bots won’t need to move for the grenade to reach the outer rim of the range circle.
  These fixes/updates will go live with a content release this Thursday

New Bots in Progress
At the end of the current saga, two new bots will join the Earth Wars! Let us share the creation process of Rhinox and Tarantulas with you.

Similarly to the Beast Wars characters appearing in Transformers: Earth Wars before him, Rhinox retains his animal form with accentuated robot details. In order to fit him in our lore and ease his transformation, we have decided (with Hasbro’s benediction) to turn it in grey and simplify the texture of its organic fake skin.

With only a few alterations, Tarantulas design in Transformers: Earth Wars remains really close from Beast Wars 10th Anniversary Tarantulas toy.

Under Investigation

Here is the issue reported that we've been investigating:

• The fix for Slash/Rippersnapper chasing around outpost bots has introduced an issue with their ability. They will not keep hitting the targeted building after the first time and if there are buildings next to it they will switch to them.
  We are currently working on a fix

Bug Fixes / Updates

The following fix went live earlier this week

• Prime League victory not counted in leaderboard
  We have reverted them back to being optional, this will fix the results for upcoming Prime League Wars. Meanwhile, ALL Prime League victories are being tracked and will count towards the results of the Special Event (including the wins not reflected in the Leaderboard)

New Bots: Rhinox and Tarantulas
Rhinox & Tarantulas are joining the ranks this weekend!
Let us share their ability as we’ve tweaked them since last week to make them more balanced.



Life Stealing Charge:
Rush into combat imprisoning buildings on your path for 7 seconds. The vines deal damage per second, slows down defences by 70% and heals your nearby allies by a percentage of the defence’s damage value per second.

As usual, their challenge battle will be available via in-game newsfeed prior to the weekend event.

Collections: Update


Two new teams have been added to the collections the Protectobots and Terrorcons.

The Protectobots are a team of emergency, rescue and law enforcement bots dedicated to the protection of humans and their homes.

The Terrorcons are savage beings, sometimes little more than feral creatures. True to their name, they tend to inspire terror in their enemies.

Check out the collections after the content release this Thursday!

Prime League: Update

With the launch of Prime League, one of the top feedback we had was for some kind of reward for participating alliances due to the league’s difficulty. So we have enabled the following rewards for the Alliance that loses the war.

• 10,000 Spark
• 250 Premium Shards
• 250,000 Energon
• 250,000 Alloy

This change will go live this Thursday with a content release.

The competition for most wins has finished on Wednesday 24/07/19 10:00 UTC and the result will be announced in the newsfeed and newsletter!

Bug Fixes / Updates

The following bug fixes/updates are coming to the game this Thursday with a content release.

Skylynx/Blitzwing regular damage were of the same type warrior’s and the HQ were resistant to it.
This should not be the case since Skylynx/Blitzwing is not a warrior and this has now been fixed. This means that their melee attack will also deal less damage to walls.

Sludge/Straxus ability icon would sometimes not being displayed correctly in battle.
This is now fixed.

Stasis mines will now activate straight away instead of a second after they are triggered. This is to stop a number of issues from happening when players activated a bot's ability after he triggered the mine.
Quintus Prime Core, the Sharkticon would sometimes push it into buildings and wall when summoned from the bot in a confined space.
In order to mitigate this issue, the Sharkticon are now summoned further away from the bot.

• Silverbolt/Thundercracker The damage over time effect from the special ability could be stacked multiple times on a single target.
  This is no longer the case.

New Power Core: Golden Lagoon
This week, we are introducing a new Power Core that can not only dish it out, but they can definitely take it!

Golden Lagoon is filled with Electrum from the legendary Golden Lagoon, adding a temporary gold coating to your bot that reflects incoming damage.
This will be our second time limited core after the introduction of our XP Cores. Golden Lagoon core lasts 24 hours once activated, however it can be switched between other bots during this time period. It only comes in the Gold version and it only has 1 level so it cannot be levelled up.

A challenge battle will be available prior to this weekend’s event to give you an opportunity to test out some bots coated in the legendary golden armament!

Update: Prime League



It has been more than a month since we launched Prime League and a lot of Alliances are enjoying the new challenge, so the time has come to update the effects present to keep things fresh.

Starting from this Thursday after the content push the following effects will be active in Prime league wars:

• Defences heal for 15% of the damage dealt
• Defences resist 10% of Ability damage
• 3 Sharkticons spawn when a defensive building is destroyed (3-star level 50).

That's right Seibertronians it turns out the writer for Transformers Galaxies the current curator of the Constructicons Tyler Bleszinski is also known as papiblez from alliance Scorched Moon! New Combiners: Defensor and Abominus

Two new deadly Combiners are joining the Earth Wars this weekend: Defensor & Abominus! Don’t miss the opportunity to take them for a test run in the challenge battle available via the in-game newsfeed prior to the event.

The Twitch stream this Thursday will offer a look at both new super robots and their abilities so you don’t want to miss it!

The bots required to complete each of the Combiners are as follows:

Defensor
1 - Blades
2 - First Aid
3 - Hotspot

Abominus
1 - Rippersnapper

3 - Blot
4 - Hun-gurrr

Special Abilities:

Defensor:





Blazing Fire: Jump and shoot a fireball dealing damage in a large area over 8 seconds.


Electrical Rush: Rush into combat dealing damage to the final target. You spread electrical fire along the way disabling targets and causing them damage over 6 secs. If you hit a target affected by Blazing Fire, the electrical fire propagates in a large area.



Force Shield: Generate a force shield reflecting 90% of the damage. After 6 seconds, the shield explodes causing damage in a large area. Upon death, the Combiner shields your allies from 50% of the damage received for 10 seconds.

Abominus





Toxic Zone: Jump and shoot an acid ball dealing damage in a large area over 8 seconds.

Sneak Preview: Combiner Outpost



Have you ever wanted to put your Combiner on defense? Then it's great news for you!

As we’ve announced during the stream last week, we will be releasing a brand new building: Combiner Outpost in few weeks time, and you will be able to assign your Combiner to defend your base when under attack. It will also allow you to pick one of their abilities to use.

Bug Fixes / Updates



The following bug fixes are coming to the game.

Buildings on Prime League sometimes were getting healed for massive amounts
We have already pushed a fix concerning Smokescreen/Drag Strip snipe indicator. Please send a report in if you see any other cases of this issue happening.

Victorion and Menasor Reflect ability animation will be fixed in the next game update
Bruticus’ Frantic Rage animation will be fixed in the next game update
Currently, Defensor and Abominus bots do not animate in the Combiner Lab when they are not combined (they appear ‘frozen’). They will animate when not combined as expected in the next game update.
Defensor and Abominus transformation sounds in the combiner lab will be fixed in the next game update

• Ore-13 collection popup doesn’t trigger when you tap on the Ore-13 Harvester building directly and not the Ore-13 icon over it.
  We will push a fix for this in the next game update, for the moment still be careful when you collect the Ore-13 from the harvester.

You may already have guessed from Simon Furman’s in-game story but the next two bots to join Transformers: Earth Wars are the long requested Punch & Counterpunch.

Our design for the game was inspired by the Transformers: Generations Power of the Primes "Special Edition" Deluxe Class toy. You can get a sneak peek below:



Punch & Counterpunch are known to be the two sides of the same coin, two personalities in the same iron shell. This double characterisation really shows in the way their head is modeled so we asked our 3D artists to pay special attention to this:



Will this split personality be reflected in their gameplay? You will find out in next week’s newsletter when we will reveal their special ability.

Get ready for a brand new Power Core tier to bring your bots and defenses to the next level!

Gmetal is a new rarity of power cores entirely, more powerful than bronze, silver and even gold! Power Cores of this tier can be obtained by two means:

• Both Bot Gmetal Chip and Building Gmetal Chip will be available to buy in the shop using Prime Core shards
• There is also a small chance to obtain a random Gmetal Power Core from a duplicate 4-Star bot

Gmetal level Cores are currently available for all the cores we have at the moment except time-limited Cores (XP Core & Golden Lagoon Core) with a maximum level of 20.

Gmetal Cores will go live with a content push this Thursday.



New Building: Combiner Beacon



Protect your base with a new defensive building - the Combiner Beacon! Assign a Combiner to defend your base and choose the defensive ability you wish to be used on defense.

The Combiner Beacon is only available at one level and will be unlocked once you reach HQ level 16 in the defense section of the shop.

Steps to use a Combiner on defense:[*]Assign one ability you've unlocked in the Combiner Lab.



[*]Tap the Combiner Beacon building and assign the Combiner you'd like to use on defense.



[*]Charge the Combiner Beacon for 24 hours with 10 Ore-13 (note: you cannot reassign a Combiner while the Combiner Beacon is charged)[*]You can double the duration of the charge by spending more Ore-13
Notes:

• The Combiner will automatically appear amongst your other outpost bots and it will not affect the timing of the battle.
• The Combiner stats while on defense will be affected by the Combiner Beacon same as normal Outpost bots are weaker in the outpost. The Combiner will have 30% of his total health but 100% of its damage.
• Ore-13 Harvesting will be boosted from 1.25 per hour to 1.60 per hour.

Combiner Beacon will be available after a content push this Thursday!



New Bots: Punch & Counterpunch

Two new bots are joining the Earth Wars at the end of the current saga!





Punch walks a tightrope - balancing his own somewhat paranoid persona with that of his hair-trigger alter-ego, Counterpunch.

Though outwardly he seems calm and in control, Punch is a tightly wound ball of insecurities, doubts and fears - certain that any moment he'll be exposed as a double-agent. Punch minutely measures his words, judging when to speak (if at all) and how much to say.

Nevertheless, there's a stoic and grim determination about him to see the job through, no matter what the personal cost to Punch's immortal Spark.





So complete is Punch's masquerade, his alter-ego Counterpunch is as much a Decepticon as the most committed and zealous of Megatron's acolytes. A talented actor with chameleon-like instincts, Counterpunch is every inch the merciless and violent character he purports to be.

The deception is sometimes so complete, he actually deceives himself - believing that Counterpunch is the real him and Punch the faction-flipped creation.

Under Investigation



Here is the issue reported that we've been investigating:

• Superion/Devastator are displayed as a grey dot in battle.
  We identified this issue since the latest update. It's a visual issue and it's not likely to affect the gameplay. In most cases, this issue should only happen in the very first battle after the update and they should be visible from 2nd battle. This may get fixed if you visit the combiner lab.

Bug Fixes / Improvements



The following bug fixes/improvements are coming to the game soon.

• 5-Star Silverbolt/Thundercracker: The damage over time effect from the special ability could be stacked multiple times on a single target.
  This is no longer the case.
  
  
• G1 Power Cores Graphic issue
  We fixed the background color for the following G1 cores: Hot Spot, Ironhide, Ratchet and Wheeljack’s G1 Core Icon.
  
  
• Nexus Prime Core Improvement
  We have increased the % of additional damage your Combiner deals, when you deploy the equipped bot before your Combiner.
  • When the bot equipped is in battle, Combiners on defense now receive additional damage.
  • The % of protection against raid damage remains the same.

Bug Fixes / Improvements



The following bug fixes/improvements went live on 16/09/2019 with a content push.

• Upgrading issue for Gmetal cores
  Some Gmetal cores were unable to fuse at some level.
  Combiners on defense using the wrong ability from the assigned one
  To fix this issue, we temporarily changed all the combiner abilities of the Decepticon combiners so that they much the Autobot ones but this issue will not have a functionality change, it will only be a change in the ability’s name, icon and some vfx. If you are Decepticon players and have assigned a Combiner ability on defense already, you might have to reassign in some cases
  
• We reduced the distance that your attacking bots will chase a defensive combiner so that they will only chase the combiner when he comes near them.

• The loading/crashing issue on iOS devices with iOS 13.

Bug Fixes




The following bug fixes are going live with a content push this Thursday.

We received reports regarding Blades and Dirge Special Ability. The confuse effect did not expire when applied to the HQ equipped with Point Defense Beam or Omni-Flamer core causing surrounding defences to attack it endlessly.

• We fixed a visual issue with Counterpunch rising through the Space Bridge floor when obtained in a crystal.
