So, how does everyone feel about the Monsterbots shopping at the same pants and shoes stores? In a way, it's nice that they all feel like a unified group with similar, yet still distinguishable (from the waist up, at least) robot mode structures and the same new play gimmick with Titan Master compatibility and head utilization, replacing the G1 "cold-sparks" gimmick. Was this Hasbro's genius pre-engineering at work the whole time or lazy/cost-cutting R&D?

Not to be pedantic, but Repugnus is edging the part-sharing side of things, as he shares even less parts with Twinferno than Grotusque does upon closer inspection:

Grotusque
- all of the leg, robot and beast
- main torso piece
- weapons

Repugnus
- Robot mode feet swivels (beast mode legs are all new)
- Robot upper leg
- fists and upper arms from Grotusque.

The Titan Master is pretty much a given, head aside.

I wouldn't call that pedantic pointing out those finger points. Thanks for the clarification. It is interesting that Repugnus has some common parts with Grotosque NOT shared with Doublecross.

Even if a lot of parts have new molding, like Repugnus' calves, they still share the exact same engineering. There's no mistaking that all three Monsterbots "borrow" physically and conceptually from one another in their design and production.

We don't know, unfortunately. Just like we don't know if Nemesis Prime will be available to any shopper on Prime Day, or after Prime Day, because as it is right now, only those with an Amazon Prime membership have been able to (pre)order it.

It's possible that these could be added later as standard Japanese PotP releases (since yes they are getting Nemesis Prime and Wreck-Gar as standard)...However, if not, I figure any fan over there that really wants one will have to pay extra, just like fans outside of 's zone had to for toys exclusive to their Transformers line. For the most part, I don't think those fans really care, Japan didn't get TR Alpha Trion, Sentinel Prime, Quickwitch, Nautica, Metalhawk, Tidal Wave, etc...(I've often observed items that are *exclusive* to North America, and don't see a lot of Japanese fans trying to bid on them) but for the ones that do, I'm sure they'll just pay extra to get the Hasbro versions.

I certainly can't say for myself, but I would think the Monsterbots hold a bit more interest to Japanese fans, being that they were included in The Headmasters anime. Plus, they already have one foot in that door having produced their own Doublecross repaint. As for the others you mentioned, either they're not in a "G1" form that Takara or Japanese fans would expect or accept, like Titans Return Alpha Trion and Sentinel Prime, or are largely "Hasbro-only" characters, like Quickswitch and Nautica (though Quickswitch could have just been repainted into Sixknight), or just from a non-G1 continuity, like Tidal Wave. (Though, they certainly could have crammed in Tidal Wave during the Legends story arc, because why not? Takara is certainly no stranger to linking together different Transformers continuities into G1 in the strangest ways.) It's a little surprising they wouldn't have jumped on Metalhawk, but Takara didn't do the half-hearted Hasbro Liokaiser either, probably because, again, they want to do their G1 characters "right," and settling for a Metalhawk without a pretender shell just wouldn't cut it for them.

the qhole point of Prime Day is to unlock Prime features and entice people to use Prime. So it should be available.

I doubt that price goes down. This is a Leader Class toy Nyway and retail for those is 45. Plus Nemy has a number of extra goodies

You make some valid points, certainly ones I considered before I posted as well. I understand that Probably would not release characters that are more prominent in previous Marvel or IDW comics. They stick mostly to animated series characters "Done Correctly", which is what drew me to them mostly before the unification with PotP. I thought at this time last year, they might actually develop a Pretender shell for Metalhawk, but no such luck. I guess that's also whay they never did a Black Shadow, which is partially commendable. I looked through the entirety of TR to see if there was a character featured in Animation that was done "properly enough", that didn't release in their Legends line, and there were none. I still wonder why Windblade, Topspin, and Twintwist (not from animation) got a release over there, but that is another query for another time.

I honestly don't know what plans for the remaining Monsterbots. I could easily see them just releasing all the PotP exclusives as part of their regular releases purely to mimic Hasbro (even the shuttle Blastoff if that's how far they are taking it, they are re-releasing Skrapnel which was part of their legends line not too long ago...) . Which would of course, leave Grotusque... We heard early on at the possibility of legends perhaps continuing with some exclusives, but as of yet, we haven't seen any news regarding this, so who knows...

I just realised since Prime Masters and Titans Returns are compatible,you can take this scepter,to make it look like Optimus Primal has been collecting faces!
