Ah, so you admit that the figure does have to be changed from how it currently is in order for it to fit the Siege aesthetic, meaning that it doesn't presently conform to the Siege aesthetic.

Umm...sure, whatever, as long as ya'll also agree P/CP doesn't conform to the PotP aesthetic, (NOT a LIMB) we can agree to disagree. In any case comparing P/CP to say Siege Sideswipe (which doesn't appear to have battle damage or a Cybertronian mode), I retract my last statement.

If we're talking "aesthetics," we're talking "looks." Aesthetically, Punch/Counterpunch fits in just fine with the rest of Power of the Primes. You're talking about "gimmicks," in which case, yes, P/CP can't be a combiner limb, but he CAN accommodate Prime Armor and interact with Prime Masters in exactly the same way as any other Deluxe in the line can. In fact, he pulls that part off a LOT better than Wreck-Gar.

As for Sideswipe in War for Cybertron: SIEGE, he does have battle damage. It's most noticeable on the black parts of his shins. His alt mode is not a real car either, but a more "Cybertronian"/futuristic stylization, like most other figures revealed so far in the line, not the least of which is Optimus Prime. So, no, Siege Sideswipe is a terrible "whataboutism" to cite if you want to make a point about Punch/Counterpunch in the Power of the Primes line.

Following on from the first batch of in hand photos of this long-awaited figure, and to a tip off from fellow Seibertron user, Cyberpath, we now have more photographs from Clement Soh (via his Facebook page).

Included in this batch, are shots showing the prime armour as jet pack for both Punch and Counterpunch, a look at the back of the figure in each mode. There is also two group shots of Punch with the Autobot Clones and Counterpunch with the Decepticon Clones.





















These figure is due to be shipped this month, for those who have ordered it from Amazon, being the third exclusive following Shuttle mold Blast Off (representing Combiner Wars) and Repungus with Titan Master Dastard (representing Titans Return). Punch/Counterpunch represents Power of the Primes. All three come with limited edition Prime Masters but Punch/Counterpunch is the only one of the three to come with Prime Armour.

The more I look at Punch/Counterpunch the more I think a potential repaint/retool would be Siege Drift/Deadlock.

Also, wouldn't the best fit be alchemist prime for a constant fuel supply for the jet pack?

From the pics I see no reason to think he will be horrible. Certainly not visually, at least. He's a top notch, perfectly on the nose update to the G1 figure.

Pointblank would work, but my first thought for a reuse was Tracks, the color and shape of the car mode is nearly identical, they would just have to paint the Punch side blue and give him a new head.

I'd rather the plastic and moving-parts of the little figure and jetpack had been allocated to giving him feet instead. But he looks good regardless. The double-agent gimmick is cool.

He is being released as part of their Power of the Primes line and is due to come out in February. I am glad it all works well. I am curious to know the case contents, like if she is 2 or 3 per case.

Anyways, the debate for where Punch Conterpunch is settled and i am glad thats over. Takara is releasing him later this year, under the Potp banner, even though its being released at a similar time as the seige line. He is PP 44
