The three-hour standoff forced the lockdown of a nearby elementary school, and drew a police response that included tactical officers, body armour, submachine guns, sniper rifles, a police dog and the mobile command centre.

Kurona wrote:I don't quite buy the 'less realistic' nature of the Classics Megatron mold as a factor for keeping it off the list. The idea was that he's a Nerf gun. And alright I'm not expert on Nerf guns so maybe he looks nothing like any Nerf gun ever made, but also consider he is at the end of the day a kid's toy and his alt mode does look like any sort of generic role-play gun a kid would run about with. I think that in particular makes it noteworthy; it's something a kid would actually play with.
... besides, you put MP Grimlock on the list. That's not exactly a realistic alt-mode![]()
I'm not sure I have any contributions to the article... of my collection I feel the TFP Revealer Vehicon is pretty well disguised, especially from underneath. Classics Optimus doesn't do a terrible job either, especially with those small molded inner cab details. Universe Cyclonus is also something that doesn't look like it turns into a robot... none of these are Top 5 material or anything, I'm just trying to think of things off the top of my head in my collection that fit the bill.

He's good figure but any megatron that transforms into gun makes list at some point

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.
Cobotron wrote:And was Classics Megatron's alt mode supposed to specifically be a Nerf gun?
I always thought it was just a "Laser Gun" To skirt the changing laws, and it had been dubbed a Nerf gun because of it's outrageous design and neon colors by the fandom.
Edit: Felt like digging.

So it was never officially labeled as a "Nerf Gun". Nor do I think he was supposed to turn into a toy gun. He transforms into a Fusion Blaster. Of course there is no such thing as a Fusion Blaster, thus making him a, toy gun.

william-james88 wrote:Better yet, this toy was involved in a 3 hour standoff in Windsor Canada (of all places) when a 25 year old man who was just fed up of his life, held his neighbours at gunpoint... using g1 megatron in gun mode. They even had to lockdown a nearby school due to the gun scare. This is a quote from the actual news article:The three-hour standoff forced the lockdown of a nearby elementary school, and drew a police response that included tactical officers, body armour, submachine guns, sniper rifles, a police dog and the mobile command centre.
All this due to how well disguised G1 Megatron is.

The most well disguised traditional G1 figure, to me, then ends up being good old Bumblebee.

Really? Not Soundwave? Even his weapons disguise into batteries!
-Kanrabat- wrote:I disagree that's "VHS" on G1 Soundwave. The head in this way look just like some random details that were common for electronics at the time.
Beside, if the face is covered and the head integrate perfectly in the altmode, no matter the angle, it's no longer a VHS.

Of course he's not a VHS, he's a Microcassette Recorder
