True, all of it. But I just don't see what else they can make the armored up mode. Seems like a full on Cyb Prime homage is the easier choice, given how Magnus' armored mode works. And it will still retain enough G1-ness to satisfy them.

On this I agree, but knowing how much this current Hasbro seems to love G1, it also wouldn't surprised me if they still attempted to somehow make a G1-based Optimus out of the armored robot mode despite all logic and reason of going all in on the Cybertron design of the altmode, especially after how they did Ultra Magnus.

A mix of Cybertron and G1 Powermaster with Apex Armor designs would work perfectly with how similar the red wings and the blue are on both. I see two problems tho: the chest, and how would the guns or ladders be integrated? Will we see a dash of Fire Convoy too?

Of course, that's assuming the entire altmode is Cybertron Optimus' and not just the cab. We don't know that for sure. We do know from Ultra Magnus that Cybertron Optimus' calf guns are also present among the mix of parts, though.

We were told at SDCC earlier this year that Siege would be an homage to more than just G1. We've seen such so far with the likes of Ultra Magnus having an Robots in Disguise 2001/Car Robots inspired alt mode, and hints of a retool/repaint of Prowl as a more "Movieverse" take on Barricade. I'm optimistic that this Optimus will turn out to be a Cybertron/Galaxy Force homage for the most part. Barring that, I would expect something of a "new" design, or a very stylized look for Optimus. I don't see this turning out to be anything too close to Prime's G1 looks (any of them).

Attention all UK Transformer fans, Siege Megatron has been sighted in Symths Toys Superstore, so far there's no other sign of his wave mate Optimus Prime or of the other size classes yet but now that he's appeared it's a fair assumption that the rest of them will now trickle down. He was priced at £23.99 and there is a listing for him and Optimus Prime on the Symths website here.

Hopefully they decide to go all out Cybertron. It makes the most sense, going by how Magnus's super mode works.

Inner bot is Geewun, but the vehicle and super mode is Cybertron Optimus.

I triple dipped myself, well technically my 2nd 3rd and 4th, but I'm returning one to Target, where I paid full price for my first one. I'v got some specific plans that will require 3 weaponizers. Photos to follow once they arrive.

Edit: what's crazy is the 3 I ordered today only cost me $3-4 more than the individual one I bought first.

The siege continues, fellow Seibertronians! Courtesy of In Demand Toys, we have for you a set of pictures of the Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy - SIEGE Wave 2 Deluxes and Battle Masters in package! The second wave of Deluxes consists of Ironhide, Prowl, Chromia, and Sixgun. The second wave of Battle Masters will give us Aimless, the traditional Targetmaster partner to Misfire, and introduce the new Autobot-allied Pteraxadon, the Pterodactyl axe! Clever, Hasbro! As we can see, Ironhide is fully painted, with a nice rich, red paint finish and properly colored forearms, unlike the sample seen recently at Tokyo Comic Con 2018. Prowl looks good, except for all the yellow. God, why is there yellow on Prowl? But I’ll be getting him anyway. And thank Primus they painted Ironhide properly, he actually looks really nice. If he’s not too short I’d like to pick him up too.
