If you were to ask me to list 10 figures that I don't think would get updates in a modern Transformers line, Detritus wouldn't make the list because I just wouldn't think of it. Imagine my surprise that our first experience with the SS86 Hound mold is Detritus here in the Legacy Evolution line. The mold is fantastic and the best modern Hound mold we've gotten, much easier to handle than the Masterpiece. While I can't say this is a must-have figure, if you want to experience the SS86 mold Detritus is a solid purchase, on sale, which will probably be before we see the release of Hound.

Transformers Legacy Evolution Detritus Video Review
- Weapon: Vibro-Axe
Thanks to friend of Seibertron and regular reviewer Chuckdawg1999, we have a video review of the upcoming Legacy Evolution Wave 4 Deluxe Class figure Detritus! The main character to use the mold is Hound, revealed in store listings some time ago as a Target/Buzzworthy Bumblebee exclusive, but in an odd twist, we're getting Detritus first, and before Hound is even officially acknowledged or revealed by Hasbro. Detritus' original figure was an eHobby deco of G1 Hound, released in 2004. This figure takes the same idea as his previous figure, but this time, he gets a mass retail release and Chuck is here to show him off!
There you have it! Are you planning on picking him up when he's released? Going to wait for Hound instead? Let us know your thoughts below!

Shame it doesnt come with the other bits that siege had, and I'm still not convinced about how jeep looking it is. Having said that, I still like classics hound and wont be replacing him but I'll def get detritus. I like the way the faction symbols have been done and the back looks neater.
Still seems titan master compatible too and it feels like it has been awhile on that -though I'm not sure why they would want to keep the feature if hound is a ss86 release/meant to be more screen accurate.
He's my only deluxe want of the wave with strongarm being a maybe in sales (just feel she looks a bit carrish than offroad and could have done with a bulkier car mode). Depends on review comparisons to strongarms other toys.

Minor nitpick: Shadow Striker is a new mold in this wave. She is a pretool for Side Burn but she gets the mold first.
I agree with the criticism that he doesn’t have the other gun and ammo drum. That drum was part of the Hummer roof assembly I wonder if it was on the left out tooling?
The only reason I replaced my Hound was because of a lack in good heel support. But he is still in a bag with some of my other classics and if that team goes back out on display he will go with them.
I didn’t realize Siege hound was TM compatible? But if so they probably just figured it was more work to erase the feature than it was worth, and this design team is at least aware that some of us are still using old features. Heck they made sure Commander Armada Prime was backwards compatible with a 20year old toy and we complained about one of the Titans not havi by accessible connectors for the base mode, not to mention the infrequent “is that a CW joint? I want to do combiner shenanigans” comments we see more of now.

I don't believe in the term pre-tool. I think it's a made up term that Hasbro pushed out to fan sites using plants to cover for releasing less desirable repaints first.

Detritus is GARBAGE.
No pun intended.
He's just a repaint/remold of Siege Hound. A lighter, cheaper one. With huge gaps everywhere.
The old Classic Hound is 1000× better.
Hound deserves better.

Re: Chuck's Reviews Transformers Legacy Evolution Detritus
Detrius looks fine to me. It doesn't seem better than the old Hound mold (except for the missile launcher which always sits at an angle for me), but I don't want it for Hound. I want this for another generic Junkion - Detrius.
I guess we already forgot mercenaries have their own faction symbol? That's the problem with most new factions; they don't last. Seems like the perfect line to remember these wierdo factions too. I'd have preferred just a regular Junkion symbol myself. Which was never used on a toy anyway?

Nah, they remembered mercs dont have a unified symbol and life with out retcons is fine.
A specific merc group would have a symbol.
Junkions (and humans, quintessons or other races) dont have a symbol. Hence why they annoyingly have been giving wreckgar and friends autobot symbols for years

-which I guess is fine for x years in the future if they have picked sides and been accepted.
Some mercs wear autobot symbols, some wear decepticon symbols, some none, some both and only recently that awful merc symbol which shouldnt have been a thing and will no doubt pop up again.

Don't like the Merc symbol?
https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Insignia/Gallery
Quintessons have two symbols. Junkions also have one, albeit one created much later than TFTM. They could also have just made a new one up like they did with the Quints.
Humans have the EDC and various groups.
Factions symbols are just fun! And they have so many. It's not a flaw in the toy and it won't effect my enjoyment of it, but it'd be cool if they made use of them more, especially when they're outright labelled mercs.
I'm fine with Wreck-gar being an Autobot. I wish they wouldn't brand every Junkion one (small steps in the right direction in this line).
