More curious as to what Furman's going to use as the set up for this Galvatron, but with hints of original Autobots (Hound being rumoured as well) it promises to be an interesting one-shot... plus Guido on art it's difficult to go wrong with...

I'm really excited about IDW's peripherals this year, perhaps more so than the main line of "Escalation" and "Devastation". This Galvatron tale should be good, plus Soundwave's issue, plus the Megatron origin. I think there's a third spotlight but I forget who's it is.

Is it yet confirmed that Galvatron is entirely separate from Megatron?

The same MOLD maybe, but the paint and stickers are quite different. I ment to say that Sideswipe will most likely resemble G1 rather than G2, because every character in IDW's comics is from G1. I think Milanon got the two confused. Or he made some kind of witty remark in that statement. I dunno.

Sounds good, but with the secrecy and spoiler alert, I thought it might be someone different or bigger, or I don't know more spectacular. For example, Superion, Sky Lynx, Countdown or Metroplex...

Sideswipe seems very random. Don't get me wrong I'm glad to see him finally make a comics appearance, it just does not seem like a big deal--I guess I just assumed he'd show up eventually as a supporting character. Cannon fodder, warrior, sarcastic speedster, but used as a main foil to Galvatron, doesn't seem right. However, that is not stated, so who knows, maybe he is just a supporting cast member.

I guess the group wondering why Sunstreaker, but no Sideswipe was larger than I thought. ..

Really, it's a pretty sad day when having Sideswipe appear is such fantastic news to people. He's such a main character that it's sad that it took this long for him to appear. Hound too. Just sad that the fans have to wait so long to see their favorites. Has a sense of failure of customer satisfaction because you don't know your customer to it.

I could totally get behind Sideswipe cropping up in black a la G2. It's the only place he ever got any characterisation at Marvel, anyway

Sideswipe's not really that interesting, is he? Hound I can totally appreciate as a more interesting TF, but Sideswipe always just seemed so frightfully dull.

Well, most people did think it was odd to have one without the other. But who knows, maybe they aren't even brothers in this continuity, although I really did like the concept of mitotic spark twins that was put forth to explain sibling relationships back in the DW days.

I've been pissed that Sideswipe hasn't shown up yet. That was my first-ever Transformer, and since the IDW launch it's been akward that there's been a Sunstreaker but not a Sideswipe.

Perhaps at the end, he'll find out what happened to Streaker on Earth and leave to find retribution, leading to an appearance in Devestation.

Personally, I'm indifferent about him. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the guy, I'm just more stoked about a spotlight on Galvatron. That means we get to hear what makes him tick. After all, like someone said, Sideswipe is no match for Galvy. I hope Galvatron crushes Sideswipe like an Insecticon.
