Gary Chalk Interviewed
Canadian based Ages 3 And Up has put up a pod cast of an interview that they did with Gary Chalk. The voice actor best known for voicing Optimus Primal in Beast Wars and Beast Machines, and Optimus Prime in Armada, Energon and Cybertron, discussed various topics from his work on the various Transformers shows he did, to the Michael Bay Transformers movie, to his recent injury, to his other work besides his Transformers performances.

The podcast is about an hour long. I rather enjoyed the interview. They all did good, eh.

Am I happy that he's personaly done with Transformers, no! This guy was a great Prime, and truth be told, out of all the people who played the roll, I think he did it the best.
Do I understand and respect his reasons though?
Absoulutly! AEC wasn't his fault, those scripts sucked for the most part anyway. And how he sayes he was treated when asking to audition for a bit part in the movie...
Well, I'd tell everyone to screw off too. I do like that he apreciates the fanbase though.
I can't help but wonder though if Kaye playing his roll is reading him as a wuss as an act of his inner Megatron?
Please come back Gary, your missed!

Re: Gary Chalk Interviewed
I get the sense that Gary Chalk feels under appreciated for having put time into 5 Transformers series. He shouldn't feel that way because I think most Transformers fans do like Beast Wars and regard it as one of the best if not the best Transformers series. I don't think the toys were as popular as G1 because some people, like myself, just don't like beast Transformers. And I grew up in the G1 era so I am more partial to it. Personally, I think Energon, Armada and Cybertron are crap but that's not his fault. It had more to do with the bad writing or bad translation than anything. I do appreciate his work but I'm more "OMG, OMG!!1" at Peter Cullen because it's the kid inside me. As an adult, I wouldn't be that spazzy about a celebrity.

I never cared for his Prime or Beast Wars. I just got the Cartoon Network He-man on dvd. I did not know that he was Man-at-arms. He was great in that. The way they updated He-man was awesome. That's how they should update Transformers.

Pretty cool that he did the G2 commercials; it's a really interesting bit of trivia.
