TFA Waspinator's Animation Model & Bio *spoilers*

Postby Oilspill » Thu Jan 08, 2009 10:22 am

The good chaps at TFW2005 have found something else on the Animated Season 2 DVD. The animation model for Waspinator and his bio, which contains spoilers regarding how he got his organic mode.

His wings seem to be swept down in robot mode, which seems to differ from the pics of the toy we've seen. But perhaps they can be positioned in different configurations....

-TFW2005- Mirarage has purchased the new Transformers Animated Season 2 DVD pack, and taken a look at the animation galleries.

Surprise, surprise, he found a golden ticket here. Within the gallery was a picture of not only Animated Waspinator's bio, but also a picture of his Animation model.

Warning, Waspinator's biography contains spoilers for at least one future plot point in Transformers Animated.

You can read his bio and view the original thread here, and a mirrored image of Waspinator's Animated character below.

I serious hope they get Scott McNeil to play this form of him. Keep Tom Kenny as the voice of his normal form seen in the middle of Autoboot Camp, and his insane form at the end of Autoboot Camp. But get Scott McNeil for this mutated form.

Great plot line for TFA S3!

Longs for the days of G1 where we only had to worry about Megatron, Soundwave and Laserbeak wanting to be Autobots, Swoop calling himself Tracks and Slingshot calling himself Slingslot!

It would be nice, but I doubt they're going to hire a second actor to voice someone (Especially when both voices are so similar), especially since I doubt Waspinator will revert to his normal form.

Evil_the_Nub wrote:Anyone else wondering why the Autobots have a prison thats so harsh it drove him insane?

Well, it's a prison. It's where they stick criminals, and often these criminals will cause one another physical harm, though guards causing harm to the criminals is not unheard of. Combine this with Wasp (correct) assertion that he's done nothing wrong, and that no one is listening to him, and he probably snapped under the extreme stress of it all.

EDIT: Actually, watch that episode of Futurama "Insane in the Mainframe" and you'll get exactly what I mean.

...I'm pretty sure that's exactly what they were going for, giant hideous insect.

Remember, this guy is nuts. You ever see that movie The Fly, where Jeff Goldblum makes himself half man, half fly? Same basic idea, (Except without teleporters, with robots, and intentional) except that Wasp went nuts BEFORE the experiments. (It wouldn't shock me if he had it done willingly, despite organics being viewed with disgust by most TFs)

roboleadr wrote:I saw that coming, Blackarachnia played Miss Mad Scientist on Wasp featured in the episode "Autoboot Camp" and now he's Decepticon Waspinator, everyone saw that coming, right?

Oh, of course. I mean, he was already swearing revenge in Autoboot Camp, so it's really not a surprise.

It would be rather dull basing him off a male Wasp, he'd spend all his time at the base fed by other Cons then he would go out in September to impregnate Megatron's second in command and die.
