Takara Transformers Vintage Diaclone Sky-Base US$1499
This is one of very difficult items to collect.
Very good condition for item itself and the box.
The toy rarely play with
I think there are one part missing, but cannot determine what it is.

Agreed. The high end prices should be cut in half as that is what they would fetch on eBay.

They just have to bring this up as I'm watching Victory... It always happens, I watch a series, I get compelled to buy at least one figure from it. (for example, Masterforce made me want to get God Ginrai, so I did) "No Sam, remember your mortgage payments..."

I'm not even sure what some of these items SHOULD cost but I know this much. It's good to see some unique items like this, so often it seems like all the big TF dealers basically have the same stuff with a few exceptions.

Gotta hand it to Takara of yesteryears, if they do release a gift set, it included an Easter Egg of the construction site playset. Talk about great application of realism.........for a toy.

It's too bad that changes like removing accessories are made to these figures when they go to different areas of the world. Especially when "safety" is involved. Shorter smokestacks on OP, blunted nosecones on the Aerialbots, etc.

I get the blunted nosecones or even the use of soft plastic for sharp or point parts, but the shorter smokestacks? I really don't get the shorter smokestacks, bc other line's cars or w/e don't seem to have shorter smokestacks.

Basically what happened is that a number of years ago, some clumsy kid with hemophilia tripped and fell into a pit filled with Transformers, all angled perfectly to cause harm. Then a dump truck carrying hundreds of pounds of discarded Transformers happened to empty its contents into the Transformers death pit. Then the pit was struck by a continuous cascade of lightning for a solid hour. After this unfortunate series of events, Hasbro decided to make shorter smokestacks.

Man, I just love the look of these old figures. There's just something about the classic big robot look that appeals to me, regardless of the more basic design, especially in the area of articulation.
