The lack of talk about the Wii and DS versions concerns me. Everything looks so awesome, but there's been little to no talk of the other versions of this game, and at the end of the interview they even neglect to mention them! I really hope those versions don't become just an afterthought; The Wii version is the only one I'll really be able to get.
Counterpunch wrote:This game will NOT be on the Wii.
It's simply not even remotely possible.
The Wii can't even begin to render the game.
You may get a Wii game called Transformers: War for Cybertron, but it will be something else entirely.
Time to upgrade to that PS3 boys!

I know 3 people who bought the Wii, 2 of them don't use it anymore and are trying to sell it, one just plays Smash Bros.
Just thinking about all the possibilities of War for Cybertron, makes me go nuts, I guess with all the subpar games in the past, something has to go right. Getting this the first week it comes out!

My Wii gets more use than my PS2, so yeah. Also, why should I have to 'upgrade' from a next gen console? Deny it all you like, but Wii is next gen too. Is it so much to hope that the developers produce a quality product for all of the platforms and not just half?

The Wii can only output 480P. It's rendering capabilities are barely above what the Gamecube could do. It's internet capabilities are pathetic.
I have a Wii. For all the games that are fun on the system, you have to admit that speaking of hardware, it can not compete.

No, but that doesn't mean effort should not be put into the game. A lot of developers treat the Wii like a pure shovelware console and put little to no effort in the ports for it. All I wish to see is a good port of WfC to the Wii. Will it have the same exact amazing graphics as the other systems? No, but there's no excuse if the gameplay suffers, not with four controller options. And even though the graphics might not be perfect, games like Twilight Princess, Smash Bros Brawl and Metroid Prime prove that they can still hold up quite well. Mario Kart Wii also proved that a half-decent, if not great online interface is possible for the Wii. The only question is how much work High Moon is willing to put into the 'port' versions of this game. In the end, its the effort put forth that will decide the game's quality, not the platform it is made on.

The thing is both Twilight Princes and Metroid Prime where made for the CameCube, so both already had a lot of work put into them and where already at the top of the GameCube's graphics possibilities they didn't have to work them from the ground up like in this example just make it kinda work with the Wii's controls.
The Wii is not Next Gen, Next Gen means that the console has massive amounts of power, which the Wii doesn't have, I even view it as a disgrace to Nintendo's name as the Big N usually topped everyone with it's hardware like the GC being a more powerful hardware than the PS2 and X-Box but sadly missing out on multi-media playing crap like DVDs. Nintendo is starting to become SEGA, re-releasing and repackaging Megadrive hardware and software.
Game Developers when they make a game always want to impress the industry with innovation in technology gameplay and presentation they do not care for out of date technology, sure they will produce ports for outdated things such as the Wii and the PS2 but those are sup par versions that rarely have much to do with the "real" version. The
The Wii's War for Cybertron will be like the Wii's version of Ghostbusters, a comically deformed slap stick game that's loosely based on the "big boy's" version with bad controls.
And SEGA seems to be the only developer that seems to give a damn about the Wii any more in that they actually try to release good games for it.
I hate the fact that Sony wants to give motion control a chance with the next playstation, but knowing them it will actually work the way they promise it will and might actually make God of War a little more awesome.
I only have like 2 games this year I truly want at release day, GOW3 and this baby, acording to 0 Punc I should just wait for AVP to get cheaper, damn marines.
Or High Moon could, you know, make the Wii version just as good as the others. That's always an option. They've shown a pretty genuine care for the title so far, so I'm hoping they put their best into every version and not just the 'big boy' version. The Wii is a legitimate console that deserves good games, not a trashheap to shovel mediocre games into, 'Next Gen' status or no.

This isn't about what the console deserves, it's about developers not caring for it. The only games you can get for the Wii are Nintendo made games and mediocre children's games, that's why it's always considered to be something special when a "mature" game gets released on the Wii.
The Wii might sell a huge amount of units but most of these aren't even used to play games but to act as a cheap fitness studio, 1 out of 12 Wii's I know exist in my surroundings is used to play games and then it's just Wii resorts and sports. All the other ones have only been bought for Wii fit and nothing else.

No More Heroes and Mad World.
Really, I know a lot of developers don't 'care' about the Wii; my point is that they should, and the developers of this game look like they could, considering how much heart they're putting behind WfC. Because of this, I am keeping up my hopes that the game will still be good on the Wii.
