Yup, same here... Pre-ordered, but pricey. I'm gonna have to keep that PoL simmering for a couple of months longer, even though it contains Generations Warpath, Thundercracker, Wheeljack and FP Warcry and Flameblast

Actually, if Hasbro only do one repaint of Jazz I think I'd rather it was Dead End.

Given the fact that I'm now in grad school and facing a mountain of debt, I will have to settle for living vicariously through other people's collections.

You don't have to be rich to drop $120 on a Transformer. I'm certainly not "rich" by any definition, and I've spent more than that on a single toy while living on a modest newspaper salary.

Well, you are right; you don't have to be rich to spend $120 on a single toy, but the idea just seems a little less appealing when you're not. For me, that's pretty much my whole "Fun Budget" for over a month, and there are a lot of other things I could spend my money on instead.

That said, I REALLY wish I had the cash to get this guy, book or not! Maybe I can set up a payment plan with BBTS or something?

I can't believe what they are asking for this TF. Yeah he looks great don't get me wrong there but how much again?? Now if he were a set including a repaint of another figure then yeah I could spend that much. Gundam...and people were beefing over the cost of United figures. Well how about this one seibertronians...'nuff said!

Skids and Screech were $70 each.

Electro Mirage was originally $90.

When those toys came with books, they were about the same price. BBTS: Mirage + book. I'm assuming that Stepper will come with some publication as well.

Yikes, that's a bit more of a gouge than I was expecting having had ED Ligier and Ghost Starscream from BBTS at 90 a pop. Got my preorder in, but if this does turn out to be with the book and the toy is listed on it's own later at a better price I'll cancel and swap then. Going to be a while before these hit in any case and I should have built up quite a bit to ship together by then. This is probably going to be my 'time to move the loot' figure for this summer.

EG Optimus Prime was $110 on BBTS. I know it's a Voyager.. but.. times change, and the US Dollar is much weaker than it used to be. I might only be a few cents or so, but still that's quite alot and add inflation + the demand, a price tag of $120 is pretty respectable considering some of the other Tak exclusives we've seen.

However, it's a bit of an outrage for a Deluxe, considering Ani Black Rodimus is $85 and EG Prowl is $100. And I don't exactly think that Nebulon/Nightstick is worth $30 more. Oh well.. you gotta pay to play these days.
