To celebrate the upcoming live action movie - Transformers Dark Side Moon in Japan, A Bathing Ape (Or BAPE) has collaborate with Takara Tomy to release a special edition of G1 Optimus Prime (Convoy).
This figure is primarily in green colour and scheduled to be release on 23rd July 2011.

BAPE is a Japanese clothing company that specializes in men's, women's and kids' lifestyle and street wear. Other than this "G1 Convoy BAPE Version", BAPE has revealed many Transformers themed T-Shirts as well.

The green on the cab is pretty damn nice but im not liking the army camo on the trailer. Oh, also ... $90 US dollars for this? :BANG_HEAD:

This is an easy pass.... generations/rts and dotm still have loads of gaps to fill...

And I guess this green's not bright enough, but everyone here's seen that Dreamwave Optimus pic that someone photoshopped to turn him into a Green Lantern, right?

In Japan, this toy will be on sale at BAPE clothing chain stores....
As for overseas, i believe we can check out online toy stores then.....

This Optimus is naturally green instead of naturally red, just like I was trying to get at.

Rambo Convoy. Very cool. $90 for a store exclusive doesn't seem too bad. Heck Encore Convoy was retailing for $80 and it was general release.

Might just try to pick this up to add the the G1 Convoy line up now.

Precisely. Slap a GL logo over... whatever is on his shoulder, then imagine Peter Cullen reciting the oath. "In brightest day..."

Robot doesn't look great in green, but the camo on the trailer and the new stickers look cool. Not something I would buy though.

It's almost the G.I. Joe Convoy that I've always wanted. Not too light a green as that one 3rd party thing was. Still, $90 is a little past my price range right now.
