Many individual have had a huge impact on the Transformers mythos, from Peter Cullen's legendary voice, to the big screen adaptations...
To the very different and celebrated stylings of @DerrickJWyatt which were introduced back in late 2007...
Friday morning question time... Who do you think has had the BIGGEST impact on the Transformers mythos over the past couple of years?

If this is pertaining to who might be writing this year's comic story, could we be getting... JAMES ROBERTS?!!!

I sure hope they're not considering Simon Furman for this. ReGeneration One was talked about over the last 2 years, and when they say BIGGEST impact, it doesn't specify positive or negative impact. If they're referring to a writer, that is. Bringing up Cullen, the movies, and TFA, the only things those have in common (as far as I know) is Optimus. So would an Optimus mold be used for the last Knight?

This seems like it'd be a brilliant set for fans ...

Bust out the Stunticon molds

Toys R Us/Amazon.com/Encore get a G1 Stunticon set

e-Hobby/BotCon/Club get a G2 Stunticon set

This would be a brilliant set. Follow it up the next year with G1 and G2 Defensor with a possible Operation Combination set for Guard City and Battle Gaia the next year.

I could see them doing G2 TFA Breakdown but that'd be it from that set. I wasn't a fan of the Animated Stunticons set for various reasons so that wouldn't get me too excited. Though if Wyatt is attending this year's BotCon maybe a TFA G2 Breakdown would be in order for the 20th anniversary?

I'd like to see a TFA Aerialbots set to go with the Stunticons.

I'm still thinking they're not done with the Cyclonus mold. Maybe Star Saber or Dai Atlas would be done as a convention exclusive.

And I don't know why, but when I think "knight" Silverbolt immediately comes to mind. I realize he's Beast Wars, but maybe a jet mold with a head like the original Beast Wars toy would work.

Besides, Scorponok came out of left field.

Either way, unless I can find a mint G1 Scorponok I'm buying this boxset. Which I don't really want to do since I have the original molds of all of these guys except Scorponok.

I was already happy with the figures we were getting. I mean Devcon? That's cool stuff! Scorponok? With an actual, honest to Primus, Headmaster?! That is possibly the best figure they've come up with in their ten years. I say that as a huge fan of what they do. I am anxious to see what else we've got coming.

It's not even Roberts himself. I haven't read enough of his stuff to make a judgment on him. I just didn't like Last Stand of the Wreckers. The story didn't have enough going on. Other than Overlord getting FUBARed, I don't even remember anything else about it. Though it's been a while. I just know I saw the TPB at a book store for $14.99 and passed on it. It wasn't worth that.

I'll be in Pasadena with a bag full of tomatoes and a good throwing arm. IDW has destroyed Transformers and turned their comic into a toy store circular full of rejects that REAL Transformers fans let SHELFWARM back in the '80s! Bring back Dreamwave! Free Pat Lee and lock up Michael Bay! Put iconic characters back on the shelves so the G1 fans who made your products great can buy them for their children! Put remakes of real cartoon shows like Sunbow Transformers and G.I.Joe on the air! And stop catering to the fringe element of the fandom who have MTMTE on their coffee tables!

It's not the Scorponok announcement he hates. It's the James Roberts announcement, as he sees Roberts has having childed his rapehood worse than movies have.
