All we can do now is ride it out and tolerate the movie-style critters.

There's actually way more "traditional" characters instead of Movie ones in these waves, outside the big expensive sets I mean. Sea Spray's basically the only Movie bot, and even that's debatable.

Meanwhile we got TWENTY characters --between the blindbags and Combiners-- that are completely made up. Twenty! A dozen and a half (plus two). That's a lot of waste for an homage line.

Looks like G1 Seaspray to me. Especially since there really was no movie Seaspray. The "movie" Voyager Seaspray that came out in 2010 in the HFTD line was revealed by Hasbro to be Classics Seaspray at the time.

Yep, lots of wasted opportunities. We could have had the 20 or so I have on my list that we don't have but should.

I see Fuselage as one of two things:

1) It's Astrotrain but they're not calling him Astrotrain because he doesn't turn into a train. And Astro is just... Astro.

2) A combination of Astrotrain and Octane because why not? They did it with Bluestreak and Smokescreen. He's been basically Kreon Alternator Smokescreen and no one has ever had a problem.

BTW, is frostbite supposed to be the Cybertron version? Looks kinda like a wolf or something?

There's no Cybertron Frostbite. Only a Universe (2003) one.

Could be. For me it will be Astrotrain, unless they come out with an official one. After the first two waves of this "exclusive" having half of their figures being lame nobody's, we might not see a third wave.

Don't get me wrong though guys, VERY happy about Jetfire, Sunstreaker, Gears, Seaspray, Wheelie, Skalor, and Runamuck. And I can deal with Shrapnel's stupid color choice and Astrotrain (or Octane if you please) name issue. And I am happy for Headmaster/Targetmaster fans for the three or four figures they got. I will pick them up too.

Trypicon didn't need a kreon because he is Trypticon. Kinda like the silly Devastator kreon. Wingspan is ok I guess, but really obscure. Fangwolf is the oddity. But if youa re a Cybertron series fan, then ok.

Your right, it didn't. I always confuse the Universe, and Armada/Cybertron junk. Mainly because they and Beast Wars suck in my OP. Sorry, BW fans. I don't think there are any Cyberton/Universe fans out there, so I think I am good there....

BTW, my OP on BW or Cybertron/Universe is based on appearance only. The stories themselves might be good. Unfortuantely, I will never give them a chance just because I find the premise of Beast transformers to be silly. And the use of G1 names on figures that look nothing like them is ridiculous to me (Cybertron/Universe).

We've been getting some excellent Seibertron.com user submissions recently! This sighting comes from fellow fan SW's Silverhammer, from a Toys'R'Us located in Clackamas, Oregon. They found both the Obsidian and Volcanicon sets, priced at $11.99, but were only able to take a photo of the first one. Not sold in stores I can get to + Not homages/No character info at all + Teammates all looking the same = Pass, unless I find them on sale online

But Volcanicon IS kinda tempting. Especially since one of the component bots is called "Farside" and has a thagomizer, plus the gold parts would come in handy for Dinobot customs...

Sorry to sound like a jerk here but how can we "...make sure to flag any toy sightings..." when the Kre-o line hasn't been supported properly on the sightings page for nearly two years? The last product added was the Micro-changer preview wave in mid-2012. None of the micro changer sets have been on there.

Found these at a Toys R Us in Sugarland, Tx. When we went to pay for them, they would not ring up and said that they have a sell date of May 17th. The woman working the register called over her walkie and told whomever that they needed to be pulled from the shelves. I thought for sure she was going to tell us that we couldn't buy them, but she saw how my son was so excited and she told us, "I shouldn't sell you these and I could get in trouble, but what the heck!" She told my son that he was lucky because he would be the only one in the area to have them! That made his day!

The Hobbybase Facebook page is reporting that the wave 2 of the Kre-O Age of Extinction Micro Changers do not feature the handy codes that is used to identify which character you are buying. Will this prevent you from buying future waves of Micro Changers or will this just intensify the hunt for you? Sound off in the Energon Pub.

Man, they just keep mucking up this line worse and worse. TRU-only, a bunch of wrong faction symbols, now they're taking away the easy-to-identify codes...

Granted I already have to resort to eBay/secondhand online venues for these things as it is, so it being truly blind bagged isn't directly that big of a deal, but seeing how the current AoE wave guys go for $8+ I'm kinda dreading the effect there.

Considering half the Kreons this wave use the same two helmets, that might not exactly be so easy.

This is more than a bit annoying since the bag-in-a-bag packaging makes feeling them tricky. Any word if there will be code bumps along the bottom of the bag like Lego does?

Hate to say it but I'm done if this is true. There's no way I'm gonna take a chance and guess or pay a premium online to cover the inconvenience of someone opening a bag and looking. Bad enough I'm going to have to go that route for wave two, or is it three, the one with Powerglide

They did this with the first wave in Europe as well. Hasbro lost money from me again with their awful AOE line

Nope that was the beauty of the codes.

early days of the lego mini figures we had codes too and people just started feeling the bags. it really is not hard. just feel for a unique part, or a unique combination of parts. like lets say there are 2 guys with the same helmet, they might not have the same gun or something. look for the different gun. lego people went through what you guys are going though a long time ago and we get by just fine.
