Ever since last November's announcement that Transformers: War for Cybertron would receive a sequel fans have been eagerly awaiting further details. Today we get our first taste of what the highly anticipated follow up will have in store for us. Gameinformer has revealed the sequel's title as Transformers: Fall of Cybertron and posted the two covers for their upcoming November issue which features art based on the game.

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron continues the story of the Autobots and the Decepticons and their bitter civil war, but changes and improves upon so many of the fundamental ideas that the developer considers the game a natural successor rather than a true sequel. We have over 12 pages of exclusive details on High Moon's new project, including extensive story and gameplay explanations, concept art, and dozens of screenshots. Whether you love the Transformers, or you just love hearing about the next great story-driven action game, Fall of Cybertron should be on your radar.

Head on over to Gameinformer to read their full article and take a closer look at the covers. They promise much more information on the game over the next month.

Just after Exiles is released do we hear of this. Now that's perfect timing. :D

This game better have as similar (if not more similar) a story to Exiles as Exodus and WFC had.

Looks like Optimus (and maybe Bumblebee) gets a new body.

And is that supposed to be Grimlock? Looks like he got a new body too (compared his old body). I wonder if he'll keep this same exact look for when/if he shows up in Transformers: Prime (since we were told that the Dinbots were coming in season 2).

Though, if this game includes Cybertron-based battels, hopefully they're only at the beginning of the game and then shift to the other colony worlds, since the 'Bots and 'Cons left Cybertron at the end of the previous story. ;)

not actually too keen on that Grimlock design, but on the plus side, IT'S Slaggin' GRIMLOCK! also nice to know that the much touted WFC sequel didn't vanish like the multiplayer peeps.

Looks fantastic. The title doesn't seem right to me. War For Cybertron depicted the fall of Cybertron. But that's an insignificant quibble and the game will more than make up for it.

Dang, that's gonna be awesome.

One of the covers has Grimlock on it. Which will be cool, but these games are supposed to follow transformers cannon. So wouldn't Grimlock not be around yet? Because these games are before the original series.

No they are not. These games have nothing to do with G1.

BTW, Grimlock was in the DS version of the first game, so he has an earlier WFC body.

Bios
GRIMLOCK fought his way through the gladiatorial pits underneath Kaon to become one of the greatest warriors on CYBERTRON. Having joined the AUTOBOTS early on during the Great War, GRIMLOCK made it clear he never trusted OPTIMUS PRIME to properly lead the AUTOBOTS. Due to his shock and awe approach to combat, GRIMLOCK is not regarded as a great military leader. However, he has fought and survived through enough battles to earn top ranking position among the AUTOBOTS. Having struck out on his own, GRIMLOCK eventually found himself leader of the DINOBOTS, a special operations strike force unit that can power through most barricades and DECEPTICON strongholds. During a battle with the DECEPTICON SCORPONOK, GRIMLOCK’s vocal processors were damaged, leading to his awkward and distinct way of speaking. If GRIMLOCK has a weakness, it is his larger than Prime ego and his lack of patience.

Grimlock is most likely DLC. I hope I can port my created characters to the new games multiplayer. I like my characters.

Oh please oh please oh please. Let them kill off Bumblebee and let it be quick and indignant. Such as he accidentally shoots himself in the chest after being forced to watch Dark of the Moon.

OH YAH!!, this is gonna be one of the best Transformers games! (i hope) Grimlock's alt mode looks really cool, better alot then his G1 look, if Grimlock's alt mode doesn't change in Transformers: Prime then he may look a bit like how he will look in fall for cybertron. Since mod of the characters based on their alt mod, and the same is with the alt mode.

I AM GONNA BUY THIS GAME IMMEDIATELY IF I FIND IT!....if i find it for PC...i hope they make a port for PC the the first one, because i don't own a PS3 or XBOX-360 yet.

HOLLY CRAP!!!!! Very awesome.

Remember guys, as far as Alex Irvine, Highmoon, and the TF: Prime team are concerned, they are working on separate projects. It is Hasbro drawing the lines between the three. FoC will probably have as much relation to Exiles and TF: Prime as WfC had with Exodus and TF: Prime.

They can't kill him off and let him stay dead. He's alive in Prime.

That's what I'm hoping for. Despite their differences, WFC and Exodus told the same basic story. I want FoC and Exiles to do the same.

Wouldn't read all that much into the pictures. The two different representations of Optimus would lend creedence to the notion that these are just concept images. I'll be surprised if this is anything besides more of the same.

Wonder if they'll release anything for Nintendo. The last few games Wii were okay at best but extremely dissapointing when compared to the other versions.Seriously make Transformers game were they don't transform (Wii ROTF and Cybertron rail shooter) or "Stealth force edition" which looks and plays like a minigame/sidequest that should have been included in the other versions. Like Arkham city ,i believe that a Wii U port will be announced any second now. Wonder if special ports of Arkham asylum and War for Cybertron will come to Wii U? Hopefully 3DS will get something good.
