Activision has sent us two more War For Cybertron reveals and with it comes big names. These are a bit more iconic than the previous reveals, as we get character profiles and images for Ironhide and Skywarp. Check them out below!

IRONHIDE
Autobot
Class: Soldier
Chassis: Truck
Primary Weapon: EMP Shotgun
Abilities: Whirlwind, Dash
Description: Ironhide is the oldest Autobot on the team. He is the slowest Autobot on the team. He is also the meanest, toughest, orneriest Autobot on the team. He is most definitely yesterday’s model, but he was built to last – seemingly forever. He is a soldier, first and foremost, but his tough exterior hides a deep compassion for life. He is one of Optimus’ most trusted advisors on all matters.

SKYWARP
Decepticon
Class: Scout
Chassis: Jet
Primary Weapon: Thermo Rocket Launcher
Abilities: Cloak, Dash
Description: Skywarp possesses cloaking technology which he uses to sow destruction upon his enemies. Skywarp isn’t the most intelligent Transformers character in the Decepticon force, so he needs to be continually guided and told what to do. Regardless, once set upon a path, Skywarp will achieve his goal with quiet, ruthless efficiency.

Damn, I LOVE that picture of Ironhide. He just looks like he's going to pound in your face...and enjoy every minute of it!

Damn this game better hurry up and come out...i'm dying from anticipation. Thank goodness there is Iron Man 2 to tie me over...

Ironhide looks suitably bad-ass and Skywarp looks awesome big pointy chin and all. I wonder if these guys have the altmodes they have because they're special or if you can actually pick different vehicle types. Also: Skywarps alt. reminds me of the Jetstorm drones from Beast Machines.

Repaints are looking good so far. I like the way they aren't just recolouring character models. They gave Ironhide new shoulders as well as a new head. His Alt mode has a clean top aswell compared to Rachet.

I can't tell if Skywarp has any mods cos I haven't seen much of Starscream.

I was actually thinking more along the lines or TF Cybertron Starscream with swept wings.

I suppose we can't really tell the size of the vehicle mode without something to compare him to. For all we know he has the same height fromt he ground as Optimus.

Well, doesn't exactly have a Universe Ironhide-esque look to him, but he'll do. Skywarp, now, yeah, he's pretty awesome. And by awesome, I mean as in oh-my-god-that's-so-awesome-that-it's-gonna-melt my eyes-out awesome. By the way...

Ironhide's very cool looking, very fitting look for him indeed. Although, isn't his body the exact same as the leader class custom Transformer seen in the multiplayer trailer, albeit with a different color scheme?

Also, Skywarp looks pretty cool too, and I somehow knew guessed his trademark teleporting ability would be adapted into the scouts cloaking ability.

That much bad-assery doesn't have to worry about running OVER other cars. He's straight up gonna go THROUGH them. I'm loving Ironhides look in both modes. Can't wait till the toy gets released. Really like what they are doing with the look of the Seekers too. Everything about the design of the alt modes for all the characters in this game points towards elegant, refined lethality.

Eff yes. Every little bit of new info we get makes me 10 times more excited. The only thing that comes close to this game as far as anticipation is Halo: Reach. But this is gonna be awesomer. Exponential excitement!

cloaking is probably a good way of simulating Skywarp's teleporting gimmick, but if too many campain mode characters have the ability I think it might cheapen it. It would have been an awesome boss battle to go up against Skywarp (and maybe Thundercracker) and not knowing where the heck he's going to pop up next.

Still, he looks good enough.

Ironhide is fantastic. Alt mode is a bit average looking at the moment (and unless parts of him change colour when he transforms, G1 animation style I can't see how all those parts fit) but his robot mode is brilliant. Deceptichops will be busted, indeed!
