I throw my packaging in the recycle bin, so it's not an issue for me. I collect toys, not boxes.
Best of luck to you finding/ordering anything online in your random packaging world. Kind of like the person who posted in another thread they ordered ER Arcee on Amazon, and got Cyberverse Arcee instead. I guess he shouldn't complain right? He got an Arcee didn't he? It's only packaging.

Meanwhile, everyone, say hello to Paleotrex!

Yeah.
Going to the store next year, see's a shelf freshly stocked:
WFC: G1 and BW
SS: G1 and movie
netflix: G1 with damage

fixd for ya. Sorry, I just don't see anything remotely similar to the original series about Cyberverse other than some of the characters names.
Apparently, it still needs to look like Captain Planet and sound like a 1970s Hanna-Barbera cartoon to be like G1.william-james88 wrote:o.supreme wrote:

It's more than just names, we also have their roles, their overall designs and personalities along with the same theme as a war between the autobots and decepticons. To me this is as much a G1 reboot as we can get. The episode where Hot Rod is taken captive by megatron as a way to beat Optimus brings that point home with a reinterpretation of the most classic scenario we know. I see it as much a G1 reboot as the Netflix show is and I don't see how it can be more G1 without just releasing the exact same g1 show with redone drawings (which wouldn't be a reboot).

That's why I said toys. Cyberverse was infinitely more enjoyable and better quality than the G1 cartoon.

When you are looking at them loose in a junk bin 10 years from now, probably not. But for myself, I only collect Generations currently. If there are toys being released in SS just because "they didn't have enough room" in generations, that makes no sense to me. SS is supposed to be the "best most on-screen accurate portrayal of each character". While Generations does try to evoke a sense of Original Series nostalgia at times, they have freedom to draw from the original toys, animated series, or comics on occasion.

Cyberverse has a lot lower lows than g1 cartoon and it ain't getting any better after seeing how megatron lost an eye... (no it wasn't pink eye from bee urinating on him, but that would have been better writing o.o). Should just get the beast wars peeps back, they knew how to make a character lose an eye, cannibalism (I'm probably going to have to get two Kingdom dinobots) and more.

maybe they'll have multiple tab types, like c-joints or something equivalent to it.
either way, I'm stoked for these

I'm kind of happy about that. While I don't mind it, I always felt that transforming was enough of a gimick to tide me over. I don't need anything else, I don't use it anyway. What I like best is transforming my toys back and forth. And from what I gather, that Dino can turn into weapons so since the beast wars figure have 5mm ports for fist holes, you can still equip them with parts.
