ALSO, the campain didn't make sense, the autobots evacuated, but in G1 megatron follows them, in the game, megatron doesn't even care. damn it HMS. no more LIES

Megatron didn't follow all the evacuating Autobots, he followed the Ark, which by the end of WfC was still under construction.

Also, Zeta Prime didn't have it before Optimus, it was Sentinel Prime in most series.

Another deviation from G1, though, is Jetfire. In G1, he was frozen on Earth long before the war broke out. In WfC, he shows pride in being an Autobot and outrage at Starscream joining the Decepticons, but in G1, he actually briefly JOINED the Decepticons because Starscream was his friend. (And because of being frozen for so long, he didn't know the difference between Autobot and Decepticon)

They also said the game would explain why Megatron kept Starscream around rather than just killing him. The only explanation Megatron gave was that he liked Starscream's ambition...which does the exact opposite of answering the original question.

if the ark was under construction, why didn't megatron just destroy it?
this is very confusing.
HMS must be very careful, or they'll destroy the whole universe like star wars the force unleashed 2 (i don't mean literally, i mean that they'll make EVERYTHING confusing and we DON'T want that happeninng)

megatron also kept starscream for his knowledge of dark energon, tho that wasn't really much of a good response,
with hollywood.and games destroying the HMS, everything will change like it or not...

Like I said, in MOST series. In G1, Optimus got the Matrix from Alpha Trion, who had obtained it from Sentinel Prime long before Optimus even existed. Of course, G1's continuity is a tangled mess, even more so now that Hasbro admitted Alpha Trion is one of the Original 13.

Why didn't he destroy it in G1? One of his favorite hobbies is installing surveillance in Autobot bases, he should have known it existed.

Correction.
He TRIED to destroy it. eventually they got reactivated from there stasis lock and the series began.
though this is very confusing, can't hasbro make something straight to explain G1? seriously... headaches are common when reading this kind of stuff

Yeah, but still, they got to statis lock anyway, even though they boarded it and tried to kill them, why didn't the blow it up in the first place? they did have the fire power after all....

Its a new age.

Just like how every other successful storyline comes to change.
Take Superman for ex.,
before when Superman was first created he was only super strong and super fast.
He couldn't fly, or have heat vision, or freeze breath, even his weakness to Krptonite wasn't an original idea. If you want to be nit picky yes DC messed with the original character, but aren't we grateful they did. IT kept the character popular with younger generations. Same with transformers. If you want to live in the 80's you can I guess. But look at the franchise now. The movies are some of the most popular movies in this day and age. They DO NOT stick to cannon... but they do an awesome job of pulling millions of people into the fanbase. This game War for Cybertron is another successful way to pull more people in. It pulls little kids away from thinking that Bumblebee is a camaro who cant SPEAK, or Optimus is a truck with flames, and Jetfire as an OLD koot worthless when hes alive but good as spare parts for Optimus. This is the dawn of an era where transformers as a whole are getting better and better for everyone. So what if Starscream's relationship with Megatron is not thoroughly explained, or that the Aerialbots come in when they aren't even conceived for millions of years. This is the best quality Transfomers game we have so far.
Nothings perfect, but the games does satisfy the needs of thousands of players world wide.Embrace change. Because its the only thing keeping any franchise alive.
