If money (and space) wasn't an issue... I'd probably buy life-size animatronics. Stuff like Jurassic Park dinosaurs, Xenomorphs, Terminator robots --either the originals or good imitations-- and basically live in a really cool Halloween amusement park.

... or maybe just high-end statues, particularly since all my beloved CGI critters wouldn't have physical prop counterparts.
... and those animatronics are probably half loose wires anyways.

Me also, although I do collect Lego star wars and expert creator sets but TF is my current love.

I used to collect high-end Macross Valkyries until Yamato folded and the company that took over jacked prices to ridiculous levels.

I occasionally collect movie figures from Hot Toys, but those are very limited due to pricing.

I also collect model kits on occasion. Yes, "collect", because for every kit I buy, about 6 remain unbuilt. :P

Legos, Wrestling figures and magic cards.

I may show off some of my lego creations at a later date. I want to take good pics which requires effort.

I've recently begun collecting the DeAgostini Thunderbird 2 weekly parts/magazine model build.
It's a japanese release, and when all 80 issues are out, you've got a massive TB2 with lights, sounds and motorized legs, and a whole fleet of pod vehicles.

I collect a lot of Japanese figures, mainly Figmas but with the occasional Revoltech and Figuarts here and there. Also Busou Shinki. I do love Busou Shinki.

Transforming toys, eg: Macross, Gundam, Models: Star Trek and used to have quite a few Evangelions but got destroyed, signed, kind of missed it, it took awhile to put them together and they came nicely coloured so there is no need to paint them and they were highly posable.

Only half of my soul belongs to Transformers. The other half? I'm Nintendo's bitch.

Image

Shulk, Lucina, Robin, Marth, Ike, Shovel Knight, Mewtwo and Mega Man. Goddamn it. I also want a Link though none of the ones out now really entice me (the Smash one especially looks bad; he's just staring down at the ground). OoT Link Amiibo looks fantastic though, considering that for sure.

I've also got this dude. I don't so much collect them as much as I have a metric ton of them boxed at my mum's house, but I always loved them all the same.

Yeah, I loved those bionicle vilains. I really liked how you could have that soft plastic brain/head in there and it was also compatible with the heads of the other bionicle figures. Plus it was awesome how they became balls. Some smart engineering there and great playability. Building them was just half the fun. That was the last time I was into Lego actually and then I moved on.

Years later I collect Transformers, of course, but I also collect Power Rangers zords, hence me adding to this discussion :) Here is a thematic idea as to the other non tf mecha I collect

Ye, due to how different they were and how articulated they were (I was a serious stickler for that as a kid holy heck), I loved them a lot more than Lego and when told they were Lego I refused to agree with that - even when it literally said 'Lego' on the canister
The Lehvak's there the first Bionicle I ever got; for my birthday in either 2002 or 2003. Was hooked ever since.

Currently only transformers, but when they were current, I used to collect Microman and Amdriver.
I still have all of these, even if currently not displayed.

I hesitate to jump in the Takara Diaclone revival...

Gunpla, as well as the random Figma/Figuarts/nendoroid, although not as often because of their price.

I also indulge in buying Weiss Schwarz booster packs every now and then :D

Mainly pick up transformers but I'm very selective. In fact, I'm that way about all of my toys and even my comics now. Helps keep the clutter down and you end up enjoying what you have more.

Other non-TF toys I buy are: Zoids(particularly z-builders and some of the wind up versions), he-man(again, very selective), thundercats(selective), Gundam model kits and action figures(selective), star wars vintage/original(very selective), godzilla(they can be so expensive I don't have to be selective, my wallet does it for me), predator/aliens figured(Necca/McFarlane mostly), and random video game toys(Resident Evil, MK, Assassin's Creed).

To elaborate, when I say selective, take Godzilla for instance. I have literally 11 figures, three of which are the buildable dioramas. Even the vinyl figures are very cost prohibitive to collect and not nearly worth the money. I do like some of the S.H. Monsterarts stuff but it's way too high.

For aliens/predator I focus on the dioramas or for predator, the camo versions(just picked up a Jungle Demon version).

Zoids are really neat but these guys can also be pretty pricey. Particularly when I remember buying a bunch at Kay Bee's on clearance(when Kay Bee's was still around). But they are transformerish enough (despite not transforming) to be neat and I love the ones that move with wind up.

Gundam models are really my interest although I do have a handful of the action figures. I enjoy the models though as it gives me something to do that is relatively cheap considering the entertainment I get out of it.

He-Man and Thundercats aren't too costly and I have about 20 all told although I have them split between some of the mid 2000's stuff and the vintage figures(for He-Man anyway). Really depends on how much I liked the character or the particular toy.

As for the video game stuff, I have a few random Resident evil toys, MK, and AC toys but more AC than anything with a higher focus on AC 3 and Black Flag as those were my favorite two of the games thus far.

Star Wars I absolutely love and I do have some of the vintage ships/figures and the like(AT-AT, Millennium Falcon, Rancor) as well as some of the newer figures with a focus on Unleashed. But I outright refuse to go any further down this rabbit hole as I personally have seen collections of nothing but Star Wars toys that took up entire rooms. That is not a road I wish to travel down and I have been very picky about the figures I pick up.
