if you saw one of your heart desired transformers in stores or online, but the prices are inflated or increased due to high demands and availabilities. how much are you willing or eager to pay for it? if one of your love ones saw you pay for something that is beyond the price that was originally given, will they think of you as a nut? ex. if a toy typically costs 120 bucks, but inflated to 2000 bucks, and you pay it without hestitation or a second thought. in that sense of moment, will you see yourself as an insane person whose out of control that are willing to pay whatever the price is given and literally became the slave of a toy company.

I saved for quite a while to make sure that I could get a Fort Max at Botcon. I was able to get one in very good condition and complete for $600. I don't have a single regret about that purchase.

i don't think i'd ever spend that much on a transformer
but the one transformer i'd spend the "most" on would be a totally complete G1 Grimlock

but you're not that craze to purchase a single figure that cost over a thousand bucks eventhough you have the money.

I would have a hard time parting with money that went over a $100 for any one figure that wasn't a Masterpiece or something...perhaps something I really wanted MISB from 1984...but probably not.

I hit my limit when my wife's face turns red. That said, I want a KP Convoy but won't get into a bidding war for him. I don't have a good gauge what his market value is right now but I know it's not $200.

It depends on the toy. If it is a new release or will be released soon I will not pay over the MSRP. Unless it is a Japanese import because those tend to be a bit pricier due to shipping. If the figure is older, then I usually find out what the going rate is (a la eBay) and try to find a lower price for it.

I don't pay more than 2 bucks over retail for a MISB figure. The most I'm willing to pay is retail price for a fig that is loose. Guess I don't NEED figures all that much.

I think my limit would be $300 including shipping and taxes, for any figure, any time. And it would have to be a damn big/impressive/amazing/rare figure to warrant paying that much.
