I agree with the 1-sidedness and fangirls, but I kinda like him, I prefer 'warp and 'cracker though.Shadowman wrote:G1 Starscream.
He had a terrible voice, and was one-sided to the point that 99% of the things he did was attempt to tkae over the Decepticons. That's why the Combaticons exist, even.
I tend to hate him more when fangirls attempt at giving reasons why he's "Beautiful" "Has a lovely voice" and **** like that.
Skywarp was cooler, anyway, and had a better color scheme.

Seaspray: I really cannot stand any TF who becomes romantically involved with a flesh creature. (See Powerglide)
Grimlock: He's Transformers answer to Wolverine. The two of them are just alike.
Wheelie and Blurr: I don't think I really need to explain this one do I?
Skyfire/Jetfire: He was a glorified schoolbus. Even the Autobots left him for dead until they needed a lift somewhere.
Predaking: I have no respect for anyone who gets his ass handed to him biweekly by Sky Lynx.
G1 Megatron: This guy was the biggest dumbass in the history of dumbass TFs. "My master plan sucked ass. I'll smack Starscream around like he's Tina Turner and then I'll fly off as soon as my dumbass scheme fails." "my ultimate weapon is Prime's arm on the Empire State building." "Oh ****, fire retardant foam, we'll all die! Retreat!" Umm, Megatron, if FRFtm is so dangerous, how come it's not hurting the Autobots? Dumbass.

The Gen One Megatron. Since the toy was from the Micoman toy line, It did not look like anything at all like the Megs in the Gen One Cartoon. I am gald that MP-05 Megs is closer to the cartoon one.
Gen One Optimus Prime. Like Megs Prime was from another toy line, the Diaclone line. The toy back was exposed. The 20th MP version of Prime is better. More cartoon accurate.
Gen One Bumblebee. Not very well bulit. Flimsy.
The Hasbro version of Ginrai AKA Powermaster Prime. They did not included the secondary trailer with the toy. They did corrected when they released a second time.
Machine Wars Thunderclash (AKA Prime in the US) The transformation was too stiff.
Constructicons Classics. The alt forms are to bulky.
Metroplex Superlink Terrible alt form.

I wasn't to fond of the Beast Wars toys.
Nightbeat. Why did Hasbro repaint the first "female" TF toy?
OK a litle hitory lesson:
Hasbro boght the Diacloens and Micromens and what thernames are for the US market. Then they decided to put them into one toyline and to promote the toyline they asked Marvel to make a comic series and a cartoon series (wich they later produced), so they formed 2 teams renamed and recolered the carakters (thats wy the japanes cale Prime convoy) and did a litle redesigning to make them posible to anamate and bring to comics.
Guess how owened the original Diaclones and the rest of the bots that came out in the 1970's?... yess TAKARA!

Although I will admit a large part of Sunstorm's popularity likely comes from the fact that he's another seeker, and I can see why he would be disliked, I enjoyed the fact that he was "crazy with a purpose".
I forgot to mention earlier that with the exception of Silverbolt, I loathe the Aerialbots. Slingshot was an idiot in the cartoon, and overall, I find their designs to be generic.
AbsumZer0 wrote:Wheelie- For obvious reasons.
Beast Machines Primal- I liked the new design but if I wanted to sit in front of my tv and hear some hippie ramble on about the importance of meditation and how machines are ruining the planet I would have gone across the street to the park. At least then I could have been mercifully stoned too.
Beast Machines Nightscream- Like Cheetor in early Beast Wars but tenfold more emo and whiny. Plus, all the annoying puns the other Maximals made seemed so much worse coming from him.
Beast Machines Botanica- A pacifist robot who "transforms" (in the seies it was way more like morphing) into... a plant. Kind of like Primal except he occasionally STFU and fought.
Cybertron Override- I'm fine with female Transformers in moderation but Override always seemed more like a weird tranny-bot to me.Dead Metal wrote:Ultra Convoy wrote:The reissue Wheelie is better than the org. Here is my list.

a) This is a Transformers forum and practically everone on here know how Transformers came about. The post you quoted gives absolutely no indication that he doesn't know the backstory behind the brand's creation.
b) This is still the comic and cartoon forum.

Because it was irrelevant to what I was responding to.

Cool, yes, that they expanded on a real sidelines kind of character, but suddenly Ratbat is bossing Trypticon around? Hello, George and Lenny, someone stole your bit. I like Ratbat in War Within, and being rebuilt and yadda yadda, makes sense, but who takes orders from a tape? If I went home today and some beat up old Maxell starts telling me what to do, I'm throwing it away. However, if it changes into a mechanical bat and opens a mind controlling carwash, I'm moving to Siberia.

way too obsessed with him self, like in the ep. The Web, he disobeys orders not once but twice, than he does so again in the very next episode. Sure Sunstreaker in G1 was rather vain and into himself but I would too if I was a lambo lol.

do I need any explination?

I actually thought Rodimus Prime had more of a flavour than Optimus Prime.
