From what I understand, Hasbro said that the whole Trilogy line has been cancelled, with the exception of the deluxe Optimus with trailer that's already started showing up in stores. I was really hoping that the line would show up this summer, just like HftD showed up the summer after RotF was released. Guess not.
PhelesDragon wrote:No, its the principle. They tell us they're going to sell something, we wait and wait and wait, only to find out that they decided "nah". Screw that. I understand Hasbro is a company out to make money, but if you're pissed that toy store shelves are still filled with your DOTM line, then maybe they shouldn't have been made a drastically lower quality than previous lines(dating all the way back to BW), and in excess to boot. Here, they have toys that ppl still want, like Que and Soundwave, and yet they're not being released. Hoping they'll pop in the Trilogy line(specifically Que in the blue color with the old man head).

Hasbro's really left their TF fans in the lurch. We were teased all year with figures we couldn't wait to get our hands on, and then the rug is pulled out from under us. It's like having blue balls and you go to your favorite hooker, you're a loyal customer expecting her to take care of you, but halfway through she tells you you're going to have to pay through the nose if you want a happy ending. I can't afford to pay ridiculous prices for the Takara editions from online retailers or eBay. I look at my DotM shelf knowing it'll never be complete and it's like having an itch in your brain that you can't scratch. I'm trying to be positive, telling myself that it's just more money I can put towards guitars and amps and that I have the 2014 movie line to look forward to, but now there's a severe lack of trust between Hasbro and it's customers. It's also a shame for the talented artists and engineers who created these figures that their hard work has been scrapped. Don't know if anyone ever looks at it from that angle, but I'm sure it eats them up, too.

Because that's just like buying plastic toys.
Just like it.
Yep, practically the same thing.
Your comment is offensive in a lot of respects. I'm just picking on the most glaringly obvious one. I know folks are disappointed. I am, too. But let's try to maintain some perspective.

Evil_the_Nub wrote:I was really looking forward to Que, Leadfoot, and Soundwave too. Since this happened right after the FE fiasco there's a lot of trust lost. Instead of looking forward to upcoming figures now we'll be wondering whether or not we'll ever see them. "Wow that looks awesome, I can't wait to get it!" has now turned to "That looks great, I hope they actually release it. I'm not holding my breath though." Collecting has lost a lot of it's appeal because of Hasbro's recent incompetence.

Transformers as a brand has been cancelled. Quick Change will be the hot new ticket.
