What this brand means to me.

As a child I loved these toys and show, growing up in the G1 era. Watching the show meant time with Dad and the toys meant time with my imagination away from my 3 sisters. I kept my collection until I married 13 years ago, selling all but my G2 devy (KB Toys variant). He was broken by my closest friend accidentally while drunk.
My wife as thanks for a lot of sacrifices I made to all my collections to support my family purchased MP-10 as a birthday gift and supported my renewed collecting with the masterpiece and combiner wars line.
She put up with my childlike enthusiasm over the toys and engineering as compared to my G1 and G2 toy memories.
She let me play with my TFs and display them in our shared bedroom, right next to her crystals I bought her for her collecting wants.
She passed away a few months ago, and our 13th wedding anniversary would of been 9 days ago as of this post. This brand reminds me that someone loved me enough to let me be myself. It gives me a way to play with our children that lets me show them it's ok to play with toys as you get older if it is something you love.
I don't know what this brand means to all of you on this site, but if a woman as awesome as my wife could love and support me in this, then don't be afraid to enjoy yourself and your passions.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss sir. My sympathies are with you.

Thank you for sharing. Do you have any stories about her you'd like to share?

I have one that pertains to this brand actually and to finding someone that, even if they shake their head and laugh at you showing off the transformation of your latest toy, supports and loves you all the same. A box arrived for my wife in November, from BBTS. It was about 3 weeks after she died, so curious, because though she would let me show her all the cool toys on their site, she wasn't interested in them per-se, I opened the box. She had picked up TFC's Ares and Hades collection for me for Christmas apparently. Even though I plan on exchanging the POTP Pred out in my display for the size of him, I will always have a very sentimental attachment to those toys. Like I said, this brand reminds me of so many good memories.
On a funny-ish side note, I am actually slowly catching up on the Seibertron podcast and am listening to you right now Counterpunch. It was kind of surreal to see a response from you while listening to you hah.
