Who else thinks Autobot should have their own mooks/drones?

One of the few things I don't like in Transformers Prime" There are simply to many Decepticons compared to the Autobot crew. I can understand, that Decepticons should have a a great adventage in term os tropes numbers. So far only two Autobots come to Earth since Darkness Rising, while Decepticons gain 7 diffrenet soldiers with Hardshell+ entire Hive of Insecticons. However small cast seems to be in Prime on a purpose, maybe not only economical. So why won't give Prime Team some mooks? They can find some Autobots Vehicon counterparts in stasis, reprogram a few Vehicons, or Ratchet can build a few using junk gaining during operations. The Forge of Solus Prime also can help them. It would minimize Decepticons adventage, and finaly give may get Decepticon some slaughter scene.I think it would be nice to see some red shirts companion during Autobots misions.

I always wondered that myself. I mean if the Autobots have manufacturing capabilites then they should have their own "minions" in a way.

Manufacturing capabilities? Are you talking about the Forge? The Forge crafts anything from raw material. Therefore, they'd need a certain raw material in order to give themselves droids...right?

Actually, we must remember that Autobot base is something made mostly using a human technology. However aligned continuity family we have a Autbots mooks, so probably in Prime some Autobots somwhere have their own version of Vehicon. They are simply out of reach from Team Prime. However I would be really pleased if they gain some little army, at least for backup in the future.

Not really. After all, part of this series' concept is that the Autobots lost the War for Cybertron (although it was a Pyrrhic victory for the Decepticons) and both sides are now scattered across the known universe, either fighting smaller battles or just trying to get on with their lives. Besides, it highlights the differences between the Autobots and Decepticons - Autobots value individuality (on some level) while the Cons seem to reserve that for higher ranking members. Not to mention Megatron's "Victory at Any Cost" attitude in this series.

Also, you could argue until you're blue in the face how "drone-like" the Vehicons and even Insecticons are. There's some (limited) evidence that each Vehicon and Insecticon has their own personality, despite their respective shared design - hell, we even got an Insecticon with a name.

Of course you are right, i used here a wrong term. I think "Mooks" better fits to Vehicons and Insecticons.

To be honest, I'm think it more the fact that after suckes of "300" simply Transformers creators try to follow this trend. We have a Beast Machines of course, but even in first Bay's we have only few Cons, but each seems to be a skilled warrior (even if they are supposed to lost any fights) and they seems to each at last his own style. In RotF most of cones looks identical and have almost none combat value. The same is in DotM. In Prime Team Prime supposed to be a "team small, but strong" yet I think they are going to far.

In Energon, Autobots actually have mooks and red shirts, we can arue is they are portraied right way, but i still thinks this direction was right.

Also, in Animated the Decepticons are the heavy ountumbered ones. They are more a Pests than a real threat for Autobots, and they survived that long only thanks to Autobots blindnes. Anything what Megatron does in this series, is searching any way posibble, to gain a real chance to become at least a serious danger for Autobot cause.

Not sure how "outnumbered" the Decepticons really were in "Animated." Besides, it was mentioned that the Autobots one that war because they had at least three advantages: 1) The Allspark, 2) Access to the Space Bridge Network, 3)Omega Supreme.

Yet when we meet Megatron, it seems like Decepticons are ready to take their last breath. He can't even defeat a simple Bridge Repairmen team, or destroy a single primitive human city... Autobots was ready to beat him even without using a procent of their power? And even it Bots seems to be incompetent, they still won... With only one of many civil team squad.

The creators of the series pointed out that they wanted the autobots to be outnumbered to give the Decepticons a advantage (and not turn them into a joke of a enemy).

Although technically, there should easily be billions or trillions of Autobots and Decepticons when you consider that they populate a rather large planet and have been expanding to other worlds for millions of years. Though having Cybertron as a dead husk might take away their ability to create new Transformers depending on how its done.

They might have lost the ability to create protoforms if those facilities were exclusive to Cybertron.

The main problem of the series is that Autobots arent outnumbered, they are heavily outnumbered. It's simply too many Cons when we compared them with Autobots. If Autobots have their own mooks, the conflict would be seems to be a little more serious(Team of five or six guys against a entire Warship?)

Who cares? Only the named guys and Insecticons are actually a challenge. The Vehicons aren't even worth a damn.

Really? I mean, lol, they deafeat Cliffjumper, most of the time they winning with BBB and Arcee and one seems to be challenge for Bulkhead! Later they seems to be less impresive, but still they had their moments of glory. In "Orion Pax" they seems to be strong enough to knock off Optimus. In Armada they was able to really slow down Insections, despite the fact they were outnumbered. In "Human Factor" They were for a long moment they were a effectiwe wall for the Autobots. And if Insecticons were a more challenge: Then why injured and poisoned Bulkhead was able to defeat four of them (including the most powerfull of their kind)? Also in "Darkest Hour" All Insections send to fight with Autobots were killed, and we can only see five flying Vehicons don't survived. Maybe they are'nt as effective as they should be, but still it's more than any other Cons mooks in other Universes.

Except it wasn't Optimus, it was Orion Pax. Orion wasn't expecting them to knock him down. Also, Orion shot them both down with ease after he learned he was armed.

Orion or Optimus, his physical form was exactly the same - so his power level was exactly the same. Also it is hard to knock down a guy witch is much bigger and heavier than you, even if he is'nt expecting. I don't think that ordinary guy can knock out with his fist a profesional heavy-weight boxer, or any other fighter, for examplke wrestler. even if he use a element of suprise.

Orion lacks the strength to hold his ground against such force.
