Right? There's something really endearing about robolove, especially in plastic toy form, for some reason. :D

My theory is that because Cybertronians don't have family structures like organics do - We have children, parents and such. I think that Cybertronians mate for mostly for companionship. We see a lot of really strong friendships among teams and workmates where most organics don't get super friendly with people they work with. Friendship and love account for a Cybertronian's family because instead of having parents or siblings they are forged, hatched or come from a well.

This comes from me nerding out with my Girlfriend because she loves Chromedome/Rewind and Knockout/Breakdown. I mostly like the story for the action but little tidbits like this really make the story feel detailed. The friendships and relationships the characters have really make you think and feel which adds a real richness to the storytelling because you can relate with the characters instead of just watching them.

Oh, from a narrative point, I agree! I'm just curious as to why we/I feel so compelled to replicate those things in toy form, or react very mushily to when others do so. :-?

(trimmed for the sake of our sanity and eyeballs... too many boxes lol)

Maybe its that you like that part of the story and like to re-enact it that way. Its the same as getting exited when you re-enact a fight scene or adventure. Now that I think about it I have a personal connection to a lot of the characters and seeing them happy makes me happy too. That can give me the warm fuzzies when a lot of other things don't.

Funny thing is I never got "feels" from any form of media before transformers. I have been a fan of a lot of series but before then I never really connected with the characters. Maybe something just kinda clicks?

I have to agree. Now that I have Rewind and Chromedome's TR toys, I gave their guns to other bots, and the two have not been seperated. I don't know why it's so endearing either, it just...is.

And Domey and Rewind have been standing with each other since I got Domey, and I don't intend to separate them either

He has such a nice smooth transformation which is an improvement over TFP Ratchet in that way. Still like TFP Ratchet best aesthetically tho.

they both have what the other kinda doesn't. I much prefer RiD Ratchet for transformation, but BH Ratchet is just so cool looking and posable

I just realized that I have 13 bots and 2 cons. I should probably try to find more decepticons to balance that out a little bit. I really wish the Knockout figure was better or I'd have picked him up. He's a fan favorite so hopefully he will be in another series.

Then again I do want Wolfwire/Weirdwolf. Not sure if I will get him unless I see him cheap. Got some wrestling figures I want to get out that are supposed to hit the shelves this month.

No walmart near me. All I have is Target and Fred Meyer's besides the internet. (Fred Meyer is like Target with food and less agitating florescent lights.)

Sadly walmart's site is run by scalpers...AKA toywiz and they want 19 bucks...frag that! You gotta be real careful on the walmart site. I have seen a lot of rip off prices for both TF and WWE Figures. I saw one basic WWE fig (should be abt 10-12USD) for over 50! I think the worst was an Elite Sin Cara for 125$ that should have been about 20$ or so. I hate toywiz because while people in the know don't get fooled, parents and friends of collectors/kids are the ones who get ripped off. It should be illegal.

I actually took that picture back in June when I was doing school research and I had got those shot glasses from a yard sale. It was fun!

And Ghost ship is a good book. I love ship mysteries like the Waratah and I love Cussler's reads (except for his Fargo books, not as exciting, but goodness read his Oregon Files books. I loved Plague Ship and Corsair).

Loved how he handled Franklin's lost expedition too in Arctic Drift

One summer, I think I was 15 or 17, I read something like 10 of Cussler's books. By the 8th, I was bored of the formula, but that was all the place I was staying had, so two more it was. Never had any desire to go back to them, or any of Wilbur Smith's, Ken Follet's, or Christian Jacq's stuff since, either. :-?

Alright, given your current approximate age, those books would have all been Dirk Pitt books, with maybe one of the first of his other books. He tried harder to mix it up once he started writing more consistently. It started as like one a year or every few years but is now up to 3 or 4 per year. The NUMA Files are alright, but are similar to Dirk Pitt but with different characters and some crossing over. Oregon Files are really cool as they combine good guy pirates/mercenaries and Star Trek together. Isaac Bell is awesome because he sets those books back 100+ years to a detective in 1900's-ish America. The latter 2 have really come to be favorites and classics.

If I could, I would recommend the Spy or Corsair. They are really good examples of the new series

If I could, I would recommend the Spy or Corsair. They are really good examples of the new series

Yep, Dirk Pitt indeed, good calculamalating! Hm. May give one of those a try.

I have yet to find an Isaac Bell book I didn't like. The Wrecker is a classic. Actually, try this: if you like trains, politics, and sabotage, read The Wrecker. If you like navies, engineering, and politics, read The Spy.

If you like Star Trek and Mercenaries along with real pirates, read Corsair. If you like that minus pirates but with biological threats and a movement using people while being evil in the background, go Plague Ship.

All 4 are quality and are at the top of my list
I'm looking for parts, Help Me Out Please!
