You absolutely HATE what the movie is so far and will only download it. NOW, say something positive.

---Well, for me, we get to see 5 new Objectformers.
Might not seem like much, but it's something I've wanted back in transformers toys for a DAMN long time. A welcome throwback to the pre-transformers Microchange era.

---With the right paint job, one or two of the Autobots could be good toys.

You?

(Remember, this is only if you're so angry that you plan on downloading the movie out of protest... and ONLY positive things regarding it).

Considering downloading it in the first place is a negative, anyone who answers has already failed at answering this thread correctly.

ok, i guess i belong here, although thanks to my horrible computer i won't be downloading it (instead i'll probably pull a double feature and sneak in to see tf after the end of a movie i pay to see). anyhow, i can think of a few things, although the last one is really only nice in a "this is how it could be worse" sense.

1) the objectformers. as you said, most of them look like really neat little tfs. i'll probably wait until ebay gets flooded with them rather than buying them retail (so none of my money will go to the movie makers), but i definitely plan on buying them.

2) the special effects look awesome. if that was all i cared about, i'd be totally pumped to see this movie.

3) we seem to be getting a fair amount of great, innovative new g1 merchandise to coincide with the release of this movie. i really want to get my hands on a soundwave mp3 player and some transforming g1 plushies.

4) the idw movie prequel comic sounds really cool.

5) unlike schumacher's batsuit, it looks like none of the movie tfs have grown nipples (no offense intended toward wreck-gar, btw).

no they haven't, because it's not a "say only nice things about the movie" thread, it's a "say only nice things about the movie if you hate just about everything else about it" thread. downloading it is a prerequisite which establishes the second part of that purpose statement.

Great idea there! One I'll employ.

Yeah, they know what's "goin' on" with that movie, so they're doing ALOT of classic stuff to appease us. Good point.

It'll be good to hear Cullen as Prime again.

I'll be saving $7.

Transformers Heroes can't possibly be any worse.

The release of all the new movie toys will help create new jobs in China. :D

Positive things about this movie looking like crap?

- If it's slightly better than crap I'll be pleasently suprised.
- I'll save money by not buying the toys/Mechendise
- I'll spend less time on this site and the internet in general and do something more worthwhile with my life.

1.) Despite the fact that a good-sized amount of us do not like how the TFs look in the movie, if the movie flops because of other reasons we will all be happy that Bay and Co. didn't use the original G1 designs and destroy the G1 nostalgia.

2.) This movie will, in no way, affect my views on Transformers in general nor any of the specific TF shows/genres respectively.

I sincerely hope that anyone who illegally downloads this movie is caught, and heavily fined or thrown in jail. I suppose in the vast list of criminal offenses, this isn't that severe, but I cannot stand thieves. If you aren't willing to pay for something others have worked hard on, they you don't get to see it. Period. By the way, I hope your parents are all happy with being failures at raising children.

Hey, if it was worth seeing it in theatres. We'd see it in theatres.

When I watch it on my computer and believe that it's worth seeing in the theatre. I'll go and see it.

I'm a pirate, and proud of it. The whole 'boo hoo you're stealing stuff that people worked hard on' schpeel is old. Obviously they didn't work hard enough on it for us to not pay to see it. Not to mention the only people getting hurt would be the crew, but then the studio already paid them.

So Bay won't be able to own his second helicopter like he wanted. It'll teach him to make better movies.

And I assume you've never illegally downloaded a thing in you life? Get real. The reason people here are downloading the movie first is because they are worried that if the pay to see it, it will a) be crap, b) Send the message to the guys that made to continue making crap movies, and c) contribute to spawning a crap sequel.

I will no doubt go and see it at the cinema, because I personally wont feel like I've really experienced it properly sat in front of my PC, but I don't hold anything against those who want to try before they buy. If those that download it find they like it I'm sure many will go see it at the cinema for the full experience and they'll go knowing they wont be waisting their money.

Edit: Oops I broke the say something positive rule there. I hope no one saw

Fine. Maybe the comment on parents was a little harsh and un-called for. If you are going to download, fine do it. Don't try and act like there is nothing wrong with what you are doing, or that you are some sort of modern day Robin Hood, righting the wrongs and whatnot. I still say if you aren't willing to pay for it, you shouldn't get to see it. It isn't protest, its being a spoiled little child.

I think the "I'll most likely pay to see it at the theatre" comment counts. It's a big step for someone who loathes this feature so much!

What can I say, I'm a Transformers fan and despite all appearances this is a Transformers movie. Besides how will I ever know for sure its as bad as I think it's going to be if I never see it? I know one thing for sure tho, I wont be going to see this 2, 3, or 4 times like I will Spider-man 3. That is were the makes of this movie will be losing out on fan revenue.

1) there will be a movie with robots smashing things....
2) some of my friends who "don't understand" think the movie looks cool
3) it looks better than a lot of other movies did at this stage (FF *cough*, ghost rider *cough*)
4) some girls might be interested in my transformers movie and toys

I dont download movies or anything, but anytime anyone gets mad about people "stealing" movies etc I always think of southpark....

"look at lars ulrich...he wanted a gold plated shark tank to put next to his swim up bar...but because you downloaded his CD, he will have to wait several more weeks...."

besides its the production/recording companies who produce nothing who make most of the money, not the artists.

I wont go further, I don't want to deviate the thread topic.

Yeah, the special effects for Ghostrider look pretty bad.

You may jest, but presently Cullen's tones are the only reason I really want to see this movie.

Even though I cannot stand most of what I've seen...

...I do think Shia will make a decent Spike.
...I like the objectformers.

Meh. I'm not going to be downloading it but only because at this point I really don't care enough to see it to bother with finding it and tying-up my connection. As of now I'm only interested in seeing whether it'll make enough to be considered 'critic-proof' and whether it'll move merchandise. I'll just catch it on HBO or borrow it from a friend who buys the dvd.

Positive things:

1) Some of the toys do look semi-appealing to me (granted, one of my all-time favorite tfs is Beast Machines Hammerstrike, simply because it's so damn goofy).

2) Takara/Tomy is still free to do their own thing.

3) It saves me the cost of a ticket/ $7 soda/ frustration from cell phones ringing and people talking/ hearing loss/ from being compelled to see it in theaters.

4) If by some chance it doesn't do well in theaters it'll be one more thing to mock Don Murphy over.

5) It might make the upcoming Evangelion film look slightly less disappointing by comparison.
