Thanks once again to the Instagram account of vicegripx we have more in hand images of two new bikeformers for the Legacy Evolution line!
First up, we have a slew of pictures of the upcoming Deluxe currently being referred to as "Junkion 2". We see a bunch of photos showing it off in bike mode and robot mode, giving us a good look at it's size, compared to the soon to be released Scraphook. There's even a couple of fun shots showing off the interchangeability EvoFusion gimmick associated with these new Junkion molds.
Next up is Transformers Animated Prowl, the Legacy subline's first foray into the Animated Universe. While there were some complaints about the highly stylized Prime Universe characters (Arcee, Bulkhead, Knock Out) getting a heavy makeover that took away a lot of the uniqueness of the Prime designs, it looks like a lot more of the Animated style has made it into Prowl's design. He shows off some very nice poseability as well.
What do you all think of these new figures? Tings have been fairly quiet on the official reveal front since the Deathsaurus final tally livestream, but here's to hoping we get some confirmation from Hasbro soon (and maybe a real name for the Junkion bike). Let us know what you think in the forums and stay tuned to Seibertron for the latest news, rumors and reveals!
Greetings Seibertronians! This one goes out to the fans of Transformers BotBots, one of the more popular recent additions to the Transformers franchise and a boon to those who love posing their transformers in amusing situations, like Beast Wars Masterpiece Megatron with his rubber duckie.
Target have updated one of their BotBot listings as Series 6 Caffine Collective, listing it similar to others in the series so far and mentioning this name repeatedly in the product descriptions. We knew from the last Toy Fair that series 6 was happening but this gives us the name and theme of one of the new teams. The pictures used for the item though are those advertising series 5, the gold rush games.
*Important*
Anyone buying this will not receive this series 6 Team. Instead they'll receive Series 5 Hibochi Heats 8-Packs.
This team isn't out yet and hasn't been officially revealed by Hasbro. All we have is this name.
You excited to catch more BotBots? Think these will give your collection a caffeine buzz? Let us know in the Energon Pub and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest news and reviews!
Thanks to eagle-eyed Seibertronian Bucky, we have some very interesting news to report. As can be gathered by the title of this story, there has been a listing created for the previously unannounced MP-49, which site sponsor BBTS has as Black Convoy! It's fairly safe to assume that this figure will be a "Nemesis Prime" recolor of MP-44 (aka Convoy/Optimus Prime 3.0) in his traditional black, teal, and red colors. The previous Black Convoy Masterpiece figure is shown below.
What do you all think of this out-of-nowhere listing? Will it turn out to be genuine? Are you excited about this potential figure? Let us know below, and stay tuned to Seibertron.com for the latest in Transformers news!
Five years ago Hasbro went all out with Thrilling 30 to celebrate the Transformers franchise's 30th anniversary in 2014, and now it looks like they're once again in the festive move! While Hasbro hasn't made a statement on their plans we did get a quick glimpse of what appears to be a 35th anniversary subline displayed at Toy Fair based around War for Cybertron: Siege. Thanks to a photo posted on the personal Twitter account of Ryan Penagos of Marvel we're shown a series of repaints featuring Soundblaster, Bluestreak, Optimus Prime and Megatron. Or, more specifically, mockups of the packaging as the only figure actually shown is Soundblaster. There's been some speculation that the two faction leaders may be given toon shaded decos, but this has not be confirmed. The side of the box shows a large "35" rather than the more elaborate logo shown by Takara Tomy at Wonder Festival 2019 Winter.
After the photo was taken the figures and boxes were removed before media representatives were allowed to view the displays. Considering they're shown next to the Walmart exclusive G1 reissues it's entirely possible, but again not confirmed, that these will also be exclusives and only displayed to shop to buyers from different stores as Toy Fair is, first and foremost, a trade show for the toy industry. There's even a small possibility that these will never see the light of day.
So what do you think of this potential celebration of the franchise's 35th anniversary? Any characters you hope will turn up? Sound off in the Energon Pub forums below!
The character born from a BotCon 2013 comic error may finally be getting his first figure in Generations Selects! And, appropriately, we're learning about this possibility thanks to an error on Hasbro's part. When Hasbro Pulse first listed the upcoming Combat Megatron figure they accidentally gave the package content for a figure that is decidedly not Megatron.
Includes: Voyager Class Decepticon Red Wing figure, 2 weapon accessories, and instructions.
The page has been since updated with the correct contents; "Generations Selects Combat Megatron figure".
So why is this a big deal and who even is Red Wing anyway? Well for starters he was supposed to be an orange Seeker as the original incarnation of Hotlink in a collaboration between BotCon and Japan's e-Hobby which was going to contribute a new Sunstorm figure, both using the Classics Seeker mold. That plan would fall through and the name Hotlink would be given to the purple Rainmaker figure that same year. However, a cameo for the unnamed orange bot was planned for the BotCon 2013 comic in homage to their original plan, but after printing the character turned out red! And thus, Red Wing was born, though he wouldn't receive a name until fans spotted him in the comic and wanted to know who he was.
And it didn't end there. He would surface multiple times over the years, including a Japanese Kre-O comic and a character in the Transformers Legends game. Despite a strong fan demand a figure has remained elusive all these years. Could Red Wing finally be getting his first figure, likely a repaint of Siege Voyager Starscream? Time will tell. For now, let us know what you think in the Energon Pub forums below!

Well this was unexpected if it turns out to be true. User Mr. Chaos on the TFW2005 forums has posted some new UPC codes for known figures from an anonymous source, but included was a new UPC for a figure that we haven't heard rumors of yet: Leader class Astrotrain.
WFC Leader Class Astrotrain. E3419. UPC 63050988227
Now, obviously, this hasn't been confirmed by Hasbro so take this rumor with a grain of salt. We are heading into Toy Fair starting Friday so there's a possibility this figure may make an appearance at the event if it's true. Thanks to Seibertronian Autobot N for making us aware! Feel free to speculate away in the Energon Pub forums below!
It has been a while we had some fun rumours to share with you. This one here is more believeable than most since it comes from the same source that first brought up MPM Ironhide a year ago and it does have characters Hasbro has alluded to in the past (like MPM Starscream). Ok so without further ado, we have from Baidu rumours of the upcoming MPM releases and they are:
MPM 08 Jazz
MPM0 09 Megatron
MPM 10 Starscream
Another user has it as
MPM 08 Megatron
MPM 09 Starscream
MPM l0 Jazz
So of course, the numbers are not the same but the same characters keep coming up. Hasbro had mentioned the possibility of an MPM Starscream in their New York Toy Fair interview.
MPM 07 is presumed to be Bumblebee from the upcoming film.
And of course, this could all turn out to just be untrue, so take it with a grain of salt.
My fellow Seibertronians, lend me your audio receptors!
One of the major stories coming out of this past weekend's Hasbro Media Day at New York Toy Fair is the launch of Hasbro Labs (HasLab for short), a crowdfunding platform intended to deliver oft requested and long sought after 'grails' to the various communities in Hasbro's fan ecosystem. Their initial project is the largest Star Wars vehicle ever: a 3.75" scale Jabba's Sail Barge from Return of the Jedi. With all crowdfunding projects comes a degree of risk: HasLab requires a 5000 unit commitment at $500 apiece for the project to succeed.
What does this have to do with us, the Transformer community? Well, if you haven't seen or heard the group interview with the Transformers Brand Team, some saw HasLab as a path to a no-holds-bar update to the Chaos Bringer himself: Unicron.
Would fans want to see a crowdfunded HasLab Unicron? What kind of pricing? Point fans to HasLab, talk about it, read about it, podcast about it. Talk about what you want to see, we’re listening. #Unicron
What does the Seibertron community think? Should the Transformers Brand Team use HasLab as a vehicle to bring us the Chaos Bringer? Or would you rather see Hasbro's crowdfunding platform directed to create something else entirely?
Share your thoughts in the comments below, and let's get this discussion started --- the powers that Has-be are listening!
This piece of news from the New York Toy Fair aftermath is entirely thanks to Transformers Twitter, as users The Last Gherkin, Jalaguy and original source of the image TFU.info combined their efforts to provide the best resolution of the tidbit - but what we have thanks to them is a first look at the female Decepticon character due to appear in the animated Cyberverse series from Hasbro and Boulder Media: Shadow Striker!
You can see artwork of her on the side of the Cyberverse Megatron box, which we do have in our own galleries, but not as visible as the further images mirrored below.
Take a look, and let us know what you think of the design so far, and join the discussion in the Energon Pub!
We had covered a report of fans playing and testing the upcoming Transformers Studio Series Leader class Grimlock figure (which you can read for yourselves here), and now thanks to Weibo user 爆料人小明, it appears we may have a prototype of the very same, in the image mirrored below.
Take a look for yourself, let us know if you think this fits the mold (heh), and join the discussion in the Energon Pub. Are you excited for this new movieverse line? Are you expecting more news about it at Toy Fair 2018 later in February? Or is it something that holds no interest to you?
