A Comment on Backflip Studios
In the past week, news spread about restructuring at Backflip Studios that has lead to a closure of parts of the studio. We want to use this space to give out a clear message that those changes at Backflip do not have any impact on Transformers: Earth Wars or on you, our players.

New War League: Prime League
Later next week we will be introducing a new war league Prime League above the current highest Cybertron League.
This league is a bit different than the current leagues. The difference is that in every war battle in this league, special effects will apply to the defenders' buildings. Effects that can vary from an increase in HP or DPS to increased speed, or range of the defences.
The League effects will usually change every other month and will be clearly displayed in the war declaration screen and in the Battle/Scouting screens.
We will also be tracking the war wins for Prime league separately, to highlight how alliances are handling this new challenge and who is the best at it. You will be able to see these wins in the Alliance Info Page and also as a new field in the Wars Won leaderboard.
We are also planning on having a seasonal tally and highlight which alliances have won the most Prime League wins during that season. These seasons will match the change of League effects and will be clearly communicated in advance before they start. More details on this later. League Promotion
Since we know that this additional challenge is not for everyone, we will not be automatically promoting alliances to this new League after winning in Cybertron. Instead, the Alliance's officers will get the option to promote to Prime League after winning a war in Cybertron.
In the Alliance war screen, officers will now see the above, with information of the Prime League’s effects and the option to Promote or continue fighting in Cybertron. This promotion option will only be available to go into Prime League for now. The rest of the leagues will still use the automatic promotion system based on wins.
The new Prime League will go live next Thursday on the 20/06! War History
With the newly updated war league, we also wanted to bring a much-requested feature. The ability to check the war history of the alliance.
On the Alliance info screen for each alliance, you will get an extra War History tab. In this tab you can check the wars this alliance has taken part in the last 15 days, with details about the opponents and which league the war took place in.
Also if this is your own alliance, you will be able to tap on each war and open the alliance leaderboard for that war with detailed information of member attempts and scores. This feature will be available this Thursday with the content release.
For more details on this new League join us in our Stream this Thursday!
Titans: Hall of Fame
The great cityformers known as The Titans bounded into Raids last week and you rose to the occasion! We hope that you enjoyed the introduction of these devastating new foes as an exciting new addition to Raids!
Congratulations to the alliances below who exerted the least amount of attacks to take down the mighty Titans and have earned a spot in our Titans: Hall of Fame! Autobots

Here are the issues reported that we've been investigating:
Game will sometimes crash after doing a raid attack
This issue is caused by using the last boost of a certain type in a previous battle and then immediately after that try to scout a base. The boost will still be available in the next battle that you go in and the game will crash you out at the end of that battle, invalidating your attack.
Slash/Rippersnaper is following OP bots, that are not near them after coming out of their ability
Reports on Skylynx & Blitzwing not able to do combo an explosion when a target is still under the effect of Plasma Shroud
We have seen mention of this issue but would like to get some more reports so that we can investigate.
These are just some examples of the reports that we've received from you and we continue to work hard to improve your experience with the game every day.
We would like to thank you for your time and patience, and if you have any issues to report, please get in touch with us here: email@example.com. Alternatively, you can reach out to us in game via Menu > Community > Contact Support.

We've got more card reveals to share today, including the art for Acid Storm which reveals that he's a rare card in the set! Along with Acid Storm we also have Thrust coming to attack with his fellow cons and Nova Star appearing to aid the Autobots. Again, these reveals and thoughts come couresty of fellow Seibertron user, #Sideways#, while the card reveals themselves come from the WTF@TFW podcast and the official Facebook page for Wizards of the Coast's Official Transformers Trading Card Game.
Without further ado:
Rarer than a console that doesn't play Skyrim.
We're back again with some new scans! These scans are almost all thanks to the TFW2005 podcast, WTF@TFW, and the official Facebook page! Wizards, of course, having reached out to several content creators to help reveal several cards.
If you noticed above, you might have noticed that we finally have the scans for Acid Storm, revealing his rarity as a Rare! These are roughly as rare as a Mythic from Magic or an EX from Pokemon, with somewhere around two to five being in each box. Acid Storm is a surprising addition to the roster, with a very useful ability to dominate several bits of the meta. If you'd like to hear my full thoughts on him, check out his reveal article here!
Squi--Er, Thrust is another plane coming out of the WTF@TFW podcast, and dear me, I actually love this guy. Now, his stats aren't too much to write home about. His attack is middling in vehicle mode, his robot mode is just as average, his HP is just about as average as you can be, but the thing about him that I love the most is his vehicle mode's ability.
You see, adding your damage to your other character's attack actually helps you deal more damage than just attacking with each character alone. Why? Well, say you're attacking a character with 3 Defense with -- for this example alone -- Kup or someone else who has 3 Attack on your list. He has 3 Attack, so does Thrust. Assume the flips cancel each other out, so their three damage goes into their three defense -- in other words, no damage comes out of either attack. But, when you add the damage from Thrust onto Kup's attack damage, your damage would then penetrate their armor and deal damage.
This is fantastic for more than that reason, too. Take Grenade Launcher, for example. Grenade Launcher increases Thrust's damage by 4, making his damage 7 -- but now, his tapping ability doesn't trip the Grenade Launcher's self-scrapping effect, meaning he gets to keep it for when he attacks, or taps again. But now you're adding 7 damage to something -- and what could you possibly add that damage to?
How about Ramjet, with his own base 7 attack? Now, you're swinging for 14 with very little effort. The amount of effort that other decks to do that much damage compared to your own is well worth tapping Thrust. But here's the thing about that -- since you're attacking with two characters at once, you're essentially playing Tall since you only have at most one attack left in you. You would need to play multiple untapping effects for Thrust, just to make it a little more difficult for your opponents to punish your playstyle.
All in all, I think Thrust is a very, very good addition to the game, and I can't wait to see what power that Thrust will be able to put in Ramjet's hands. I'm also sitting on the idea that Dirge -- even though we have no confirmation that he will be in this wave -- will likely add another area to this archetype that I can't even begin to speculate.
Part car, part truck, all waifu.
First off, if you thought that Rodimus Prime was going to be the first Truck/Car combo that we were going to get, Novastar would need a word with you. Okay, a little context here:
Back in the earliest days of the game's release, there was a meme around Team-Up Tactics that was even reflected in the FAQ. The meme pondered what would happen if a Car/Truck combo would be targeted by Team Up Tactics, which had a different effect for either of the two. The answer? You would do both effects. Everyone was somewhat excited -- getting to Pot of Greed and heal 2 in the same turn was kind of an interesting prospect.
Everyone assumed it would be Rodimus, but how wrong we were. Novastar comes in like a lion, and with her, come a few interesting thoughts. One: She's the next meme character, taking the reigns from Sergeant Kup from the previous set. I mean, I think they even share an alternate mode. It's uncanny. Two: She's vanilla.
It brings up the vanilla character debate again, with wondering if using Team Up Tactics alone is a reason enough to use her in a deck. Honestly? I'm not quite sure what to think about her. My first reaction is "she's terrible", but my second reaction reminds me of the untapped potential of the Truck archetype, and that she can take advantage of the Car support.
She can pull Cargo Trailers, attack for a sizable amount given her high attack, not take a lot of damage and heal it off thanks to a high defense and the ability to use Team-Up Tactics, and then get to use Start Your Engines to untap again. It's very, very interesting -- I'm not quite sure if it's enough to get her into the meta, but she shouldn't be written off simply because she lacks abilities.
"Bad boys, bad boys / Whatcha gonna do? / Whatcha gonna do when I come for you?"
Bad Attitude is another card coming out of WTF@TFW and I personally think that this card does belong in several lists, but my favorite part about the card is the implications that it carries.
First, to the card's effects. It's essentially a combination of Strafing Run and Repair Bay, which could be used in Planes or Tanks to positive effects. I would prefer that it have a pip, a blue one to be more specific, but the effects that it brings are very niche for the decks that might use it. For instance, if Planes were to use it, it would be sort of redundant because of their reliance on Bombing Run.
It's kind of a goofy card that might find its uses in certain places, but I'm not convinced that many lists will be able to find room for it. The fact that it doesn't have a pip makes me concerned that adding it into a deck will make it less consistent in terms of attacking or defending. But, that remains to be seen.
Something that might very much enjoy this card are Decepticon Combiners. Healing one from each of your characters is a very good effect when cards like Armed Hovercraft and Photon Bomb can make your Combiner take 15-18 damage indirectly. Bad Attitude gives them a piece of their own medicine while healing your combiner by 5-6 damage before you Combine.
Combiners might actually be the best users of this Action, and I actually really like the options that it brings to their lists.
But the thing I like the most about this card? Wizards of the Coast know that people can mix-and-match factions, and that some more lore-focused players really dislike that. And, instead of forcing players down a pipe, they are simply making it more fruitful to keep factions together instead of mixing the proverbial mashed potatoes and peas on your plate.
It might not be for every list, but the lists that can make full use of it make use of it to its fullest.
"Evasive maneuvers, Mr. Sulu."
Evasive Maneuvers might just be a better Blast Shield. I'm not quite sure, but it might be. Let's look at the math for a little bit.
Blast Shield is an Armor that has a blue pip -- same as Evasive Actions -- and it gives +2 Armor. Evasive Actions gives 3 Tough, which is a random outcome. You could get 7 Armor off the top of your deck, or you cold get only 1. With Tough 3 you're probably going to end up erring to the former, but the randomness puts me off a bit when you consider Blast Shield's confirmed +2.
The most interesting thought is you could use this in Nemesis Prime as a very good way to mill your deck. Reinforced Plating still might end up being better due to its consistent defensive output, but let me know this: What about playing both? It'd be like playing Flamethrower and Grenade Launcher -- if we can play two Weapons, why can't we play two Armors?
Just a thought.
Thrust makes plenty of new, potential strategies, Novastar makes things more interesting for Trucks and the Battle Cards seek to supplement several archetypes that are forming up in the metagame.
These cards are evident of a paradigm shift in the Transformers Trading Card Game. A shift from crossing streams, a shift from mixing your potatoes with your peas. A shift from playing Autobots and Decepticons to making a homogeneous list. Wizards is aiming to pull off something that most early card game creators cannot not do: An easy transition. Most of the time, a fledgling creative director would simply make a rule change, or simply make "fake synergy" that forces certain playstyles.
Dragon Ball is one of the biggest abusers of this idea. Their power creep made more and more broken combos to where people couldn't play anything else than what they, the developers, intended. It's something that has a stranglehold on the game's health.
Wizards seeks to curb that by putting forward these new ideas, by making it fruitful to play tribal instead of mixing chocolate and vanilla. I only hope that they make it fruitful enough that the lore-minded players are satisfied.

It's time for another in Hasbro's Leaked from Cybertron series (which can be found on their social media accounts, Instagram and Facebook) and while the last few have been about toys from either the Generations or Studio Series lines, today's entry takes a different turn. The subject this time is Optimus Prime// Battlefield Legend! This is one of the Rares that can be found in the booster packs for the game when it releases in September.

Here are some of the issues reported that we've been investigating:
Attack core show an increase of healing dps stats in Healer profiles.
This issue will be fixed in the next client release.
Wallbuster core showed an increased of dps stats in troop’s profiles.
This was a display issue and Wallbuster just affects damage done on walls. This will be fixed in the next client release.
Screen touch becomes unresponsive on android devices.
The majority of users have indicated that the issue was resolved by disabling third party programs which caused a dimming of the device or the blocking of blue light after certain times. We are still investigating this issue. In the meantime make sure that you have disabled Samsung game tools and any other 3rd party software that may be interacting with your devices controls.

Thanks to both Seibertronian Shauyaun and Twitter user Snakas, we now have images of the next 2 combiners making their way into Earth Wars: Optimus Maximus and Bruticus! The 2 new combiners are both 5 bot combiners instead of 6, so they should be slightly easier to collect. Bruticus follows his Combiner Wars toy design faithfully minus his thighs being turned 90 degrees like several fan modes. Optimus Maximus is weird: he follows his 'Ultra Prime' color scheme with his 'Optimus Maximus' limb design, but instead of the combined mode chest we are used to, he instead uses his Masterpiece MP-10 chest design with the little yellow spoiler/ax that came with Rodimus, who is not part of the set, making his design very.... interesting. Check out the new images below, which include the upcoming new cover screen, and let us know what you think in the comments section below!

COMING SOON Autobot Jazz & Mixmaster - These bots will have equal stats. This means more damage for Autobot Jazz (but less health) and less damage for Mixmaster (but more health). Overall, this change is not large and will be most visible at the high-end spectrum of the game (where the imbalance was greatest), and helps us make the game more balanced AND more fair for all players across both factions.
The situation involving these bots was neither fair nor balanced. A high-level Mixmaster was able to ‘one-shot’ most of the defenses including Mortars, which was never the intention and more of an accidental overlook on my (Game Designer Adam’s) part. The gap between Mixmaster and Autobot Jazz was quite significant since one received damage boost at the cost of health (Mixmaster) while the other was more resilient at the cost of damage (Autobot Jazz). Given that these bots utilize one of the most powerful abilities in the game, the imbalance grew to uncomfortable scale and had to be addressed.
Abilities currently under investigation:
In order to give you a heads-up and be a bit more transparent, we’d like to share a list of changes that we’re currently looking into. These changes are based on player feedback as well as game data and are mostly buffs to abilities that are not there yet, or small tweaks to incredibly effective (and potentially abusive) strategies that cannibalize other bots’ utility.
There are no timings nor exact details for these yet, and as always we would like to hear your feedback!
• Pleasant surprise to Huffer owners (don’t want to spoil it!).
• Defense Hack range increase.
• Further Cluster Strike improvements.
• Mirage/Breakdown EMP buff - radius/duration increase being probable.
• Line Barrage buff.
• Strafe/Scourge on defense (when used in the Outpost) - possibly will deal reduced damage to enemy bots (currently they are more problematic to attackers than anticipated).
• Divebomb/Windblade ability damage may be slightly reduced and/or ability pricing on repeated use may be increased.
• Range of Ultra Magnus/Galvatron ability (possible small increase).
• Bombing Run buff.

Fellow Seibertron.com member Starsaber468 has spotted a new update on the Transformers: Legends blog, detailing the new event for the mobile game, including some new planet-tastic artwork. Check it all out below, and feast your eyes on the cosmic brothers Primus and Unicron!
TRANSFORMERS Legends - “Battle of the Brothers” has begun!
The AUTOBOTS and DECEPTICONS are locked in fierce battle over an experimental space bridge designed by JETFIRE. GALVATRON, intent on using it to transport weapons of mass destruction straight into enemy territory, orders his forces to use any means to secure it.
A stray shot from someone’s weapon strikes the space bridge, causing it to overload and explode. RODIMUS, JETFIRE, and GALVATRON and their teams are blown backwards through time, to before the creation of Cybertron.
There they discover the two brothers, PRIMUS and UNICRON, locked in titanic combat. The universe trembles with each blow, until finally the both withdraw, summoning forces to their sides to aid in the battle.
GALVATRON, in his madness, decides to ally his DECEPTICONS with UNICRON, ignoring the fact that the destruction of PRIMUS will spell his end as well. Meanwhile, RODIMUS, JETFIRE and the AUTOBOTS, realizing the stakes, throw all of their strength behind the creator of the Cybertronians.
Will PRIMUS prevail over his brother, the Chaos Bringer? Or will UNICRON finish the creator and erase the AUTOBOTS and DECEPTICONS from existence? Find out in TRANSFORMERS Legends - “Battle of the Brothers”!
UPDATE - All players in this Team Battle Episode have a chance of receiving a reward of 40 Battle Cubes from any of the bosses encountered. This is on top of the normal Boss payouts.
The mobile device game Transformers Legends has a new episode this week, shifting the focus on the softer side of the robotic franchise - read on below for more information on 'Only Human'!
RODIMUS, ULTRA MAGNUS, SPRINGER and ARCEE foil VICTOR DRATH’S attempt to steal the powerful, but volatile, Newtronium. DRATH, fed up with their constant interference, calls on the mercenary OLD SNAKE for help.
VICTOR DRATH lures the AUTOBOTS into a trap, and using OLD SNAKE’S technology, transfers their minds into the bodies of synthoids. OLD SNAKE convinces DRATH to use the now-mindless AUTOBOTS as weapons, by outfitting them with controls.
Meanwhile, as the RODIMUS and his friends get used to their new bodies, they learn that DRATH and OLD SNAKE are going to use their bodies to blow up AUTOBOT CITY. It is now a race against time, as the now-human AUTOBOTS try to warn the city and stop VICTOR DRATH’S forces.
Will the AUTOBOTS reclaim their bodies, or will they be trapped in them forever? Will OLD SNAKE be able to help VICTOR DRATH destroy AUTOBOT CITY and claim his revenge? Find out on TRANSFORMERS: LEGENDS – “ONLY HUMAN”!
Also, we want to wish a Happy 30th Birthday to Transformers!
"Only Human" - Update #1
The team has been reviewing the card stats of this episode’s EVO cards, and we noticed that their ATK and DEF was miscalculated, resulting underpowered cards.
Because of this we are updating their stats.
The updated stats should be live in about an hour.
We apologize for any confusion and hope everyone enjoys the new and improved stats.
