Older G1 fans may remember the Marvel Transformers Universe Series (Transformers A to Z in the UK) which showed Bob Budiansky's full bios for characters rather than the truncated versions seen on the Tech Specs. However a few characters slipped through the gap and never had their bios published. Over at Jim Sorenson's blog, Disciples of Boltax the full bios for Swerve, Roadbuster, Hubcap and the Deluxe Insecticons can finally be seen!

Last week, we featured a story about one of the rare pieces of Transformers history posted to the Disciples of Boltax Blog; the Hasbro Briefing Binder for the 1986 animated, feature film. The binder, a collection of artwork, character bios, product images, and additional notes, was given to Ron Friedman, writer of the 1986 film, to assist him during the creation of the movie's storyline. On Thursday, Jim Sorenson updated the blog with two more downloadable PDFs, both installments coming from the same tab in the Binder. Some interesting bits of information from this latest update include:

- Jetfire was originally named Fireball and was originally going to be the Autobot Aerospace Commander.
- According to the document, Sludge was originally named Piledrive.
- The binder included images of Takara's Dinosaur Robo box art for four of the original Dinobots. Swoop was not included.

Jim has been gracious enough to let us mirror these latest updates to our Seibertron.com servers for easy access for our members and guests.

Part One can be accessed HERE.
Part Two can be accessed HERE.

The original post on the Disciples of Boltax site can be viewed by clicking HERE.

And as a reminder, the Hasbro Briefing Binder will be auctioned off at a later date with the proceeds going to The Hasbro Children's Hospital.

The other day, we shared a unique piece of Transformers history with you-a draft script written in 1985 for Transformers The Movie, the animated film released in 1986. This script was part of a collection of memorabilia that was purchased by Jim Sorenson, our friend at the Disciples of Boltax blog, and several other collectors. Now Jim shares with us another piece of movie history with us; the Hasbro Transformers Briefing Binder that was given to Ron Friedman, writer of the 1986 film, to introduce him to the current characters (at that time) in the Transformers universe to assist him in creating the storyline for the film. The original document is a huge collection of images, bios, comments, and even retail pricing for nearly all of the original Generation One characters, including some early design variations like Megatron's under-sized head and Rumble's rounded gun just to name a few.

Because of the size of the document, it's being uploaded to the Disciples of Boltax blog in several parts. Three of them are currently available and if more become available, we'll post a news update to let you know. You can download and view them at this link HERE.

And as with the Draft Script, the Briefing Binder will be auctioned off at a later date with the proceeds benefiting The Hasbro Children's Hospital.

From our good friend Jim Sorenson over at the Disciples of Boltax Blog, a new post regarding a very intriguing piece of Transformers history that will be auctioned off for a great cause. Jim writes that a group of fans recently pooled their resources together to purchase an early, draft script from the 1986 animated film Transformers: The Movie. The script, dated April 27, 1985, reveals that while many of the key scenes in the movie were already set, many details in the story were envisioned quite differently.

Below is an excerpt of the script from the Disciples of Boltax post that highlight a grizzly Autobot death during the Battle of Autobot City

Disciples of Boltax wrote:
ON AUTOBOT BAND
as we see Blaster in command. With him are WINDCHARGER, MIRAGE and
GEARS and all are practically back to back, FIRING UP AT
SURROUNDING DECEPTICONS

BLASTER
Keep feed in , 'em fusion fritters
'n laser latkes! We ain't finished
yet!

GEARS
But not far from it! Our energy
is running low.

BLASTER
Then throw somethin' at 'em, babe!
Man, there ain't nothin' no Decepticon's
gonna get from me but flame and shame!
Yo!

ANOTHER ANGLE - GEARS
as Cyclonus swoops past and BOMBS GEARS TO PIECES, the force of
the blast THROWS WINDCHARGER UP and away from cover

BLASTER
Gears ! Oh, man ....
(looks up)

HIS P.O.V. - WINDCHARGER
as several of Cyclonus' planes JET THROUGH HIM, ~RING HIM TO
PIECES which rain down on Blaster's position

BLASTER
as arm, leg , torso of Windcharger rain down

BLASTER
I think the time has come to
hide my pride and .... run!

Blaster RUNS followed by Mirage and other in Autobot party as
they dodge behind rubble and duck as WALL OF CITY COMES FALLING
in the way of their pursuers and we
CUT TO HOT ROD, ARCEE AND DANIEL BEHIND COVER

What's incredibly cool is that the script is being offered up for free download via the Disciples of Boltax site. We've mirror a copy HERE at Seibertron.com with Jim's permission. The original script will be auctioned off at a later time with the proceeds set to go to the Hasbro Children's Hospital. As soon as we know more details about the auction, we'll let you know.

In the meantime, you can check out the full post on the Disciples of Boltax Blog here.
