New Game to Feature an Original Prologue Storyline to Upcoming Film and Debut In-Game 'Stealth Force' Conversion Mode

Santa Monica, CA - February 14, 2011 - The next colossal entry in the TRANSFORMERS saga on Earth is on the way as Activision Publishing, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI) announced today that Transformers: Dark of the Moon is in development by the critically acclaimed developers at High Moon Studios. Based on Hasbro's legendary TRANSFORMERS property and featuring a brand-new 'Stealth Force' conversion mode, the game thrusts players directly into an original prologue storyline to experience the ultimate battle between the AUTOBOTSTM and DECEPTICONSTM that leads into the summer's most anticipated blockbuster film and reveals another face of evil, SHOCKWAVE.

The Transformers: Dark of the Moon game allows players to fight through the epic battles on Earth that will shape the events of the upcoming film. Set in unique environments around the world such as the Jungles of South America, Siberian military facilities, Detroit Cityscapes and more, the game lets players assume the roles of a diverse roster of everyone's favorite TRANSFORMERS from the movie through a heart-pounding campaign to save mankind. The Transformers: Dark of the Moon video game is currently in development by High Moon Studios for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system. The ABC Network recently announced they're putting together a new fall programming line up and under consideration is a reboot of the 1970's classic Charlie's Angels. Interestingly, the new show pairs two stars from the Transformers live action movies: Rachel Taylor and Ramon Rodriguez. Rachel Taylor, who played signal analyst hottie Maggie Madsen in the original Transformers film, is set to play Abby, a "sassy con artist and Krav Maga expert with a shady past". Ramon Rodriguez, who of course played the wacky, alien conspiracy web master Leo Spitz in TF2: Revenge of the Fallen, a character returning in TF3: Dark of the Moon, will take over the Bosley roll in the new Angel's series. The pilot begins production next month and if the network likes what it see, expect to see the series in the 2011 fall lineup.

In a preview of next week's Toy Fair 2011 in New York, the Today Show featured a segment highlighting some of this year's hottest toys being introduced at the show. Included in the group were Hasbro's Cine-Masks, masks with built in RealD 3D lenses that allow kids and the "young at heart" to dress up as Bumblebee or Optimus Prime for the new movie's 3D release. The lenses can also be moved out of the way too so after the movie, the masks can be worn for everyday play. And, as an added bonus, the masks come with a set of traditional red and blue 3D glasses and a 3D poster for even more 3D fun. The Cine-Masks will retail for $9.99 a piece.



Expect to see these on store shelves in early summer, just in time for the movie release... and on heads of a lot of diehard Transformers fans July 1st.

Hasbro gave us the opportunity to ask a bonus Transformers Q&A question a couple of weeks ago which was sent to the teams at The Hub and Hasbro Studios. We asked "What additional voice talent will be lending their voices to the Transformers in future episodes of Transformers Prime?" Earlier this afternoon, we received our response from Jeff Kline, who is the Executive Producer/Co-Developer of the Transformers: Prime series.

Jeff Kline wrote:I know you’ll hate this answer… but, I can’t say. What I will say is this: I’m still amazed at the “name” talent that is excited to throw on sweat pants and come to our recording sessions for a few hours each week. Whenever we introduce a new character, the creative team will sit around and draw-up a wish list vis-a-vis actors/actresses. More often than not, we land our first choice.

After the defeat of MEGATRON and THE FALLEN, BONECRUSHER resolved to destroy every AUTOBOT he could find, if it was the last thing he ever did.

So far, he's been successful, leaving a trail of broken, twist robots behind him. The powerful DECEPTICON was one of the elite, trained to strike with maximum force, and destroy his target completely. He is a machine built to annihilate AUTOBOTS, and that is what he is sworn to do.

When BONECRUSHER was added to the Most Wanted list, IRONHIDE couldn't help but smile. It's been too long since the AUTOBOT weapon master had a real challenge. He'll hunt down the rampaging DECEPTICON and give him a taste of his own destructive medicine.

Back on CYBERTRON, CONSTRUCTICON DEVASTATOR wanted to make sure everyone knew he was coming, and that they were afraid.

He chose this color scheme based on the poisonous oxide sharks of the Rust Sea, the most feared predators on the planet. Any robot seeing him knew immediately that destruction was coming, and that nothing could stop it.

To increase his resemblance to a predator, he threatened a team of DECEPTICON scientists into performing the drastic modifications to his body that created his vortex grinder. The installation of this terrible weapon damaged his mind beyond repair, but turned him into a destructive force unlike any other on CYBERTRON. Today, his name is legend, and his strength is feared everywhere.

MEGATRON may have been deactivated by the AllSpark, but it takes much more than that to destroy him. His loyal soldiers have searched for months to find him, and now that they have, MEGATRON will rise again.

A small squad of construction and repair specialists – mad geniuses all – descends to the pitch-black sea floor. Strange, blind fish swarm around the fallen DECEPTICON commander as his soldiers examine him, analyzing the damage that has been done, and formulating a plan for completing repairs. It will be complicated, but with the AllSpark fragment they have secured nothing is impossible.

A fury of work erupts on the sea floor as those who have come to raise MEGATRON turn on one of their own, tearing him apart to gain the parts they need to bring their leader back. As the heavy mud of the sea floor settles back through the freezing water, MEGATRON shifts, and his eyes glow back to life. He has returned, and this time, nothing will stop him from destroying the AUTOBOTS.

As the dangerous snap of the steel whips on his arms fills the air, RAMPAGE makes subtle eye contact with RAVAGE. BUMBLEBEE may dodge his whips, but they're only a distraction from the real danger presented by the DECEPTICON panther.

This AUTOBOT may be known as a dangerous fighter, but once RAVAGE cripples him with a surprise attack, RAMPAGE will move in and easily tear him apart. The two DECEPTICONS are so confident of victory, they don't even realize that BUMBLEBEE has them exactly where he wants them.

His sensors registered RAVAGE the moment the DECEPTICON was within range, and since then, BUMBLEBEE has been maneuvering them both to his advantage. He's more than happy to take a few hits if it means keeping Sam safe – and damaging his opponents badly enough to take them both out of the fight.

RAVAGE relies on two things to succeed in his missions – speed and stealth. When his ability to avoid detection fails him, it is his speed that sees him through.

He planned for weeks to infiltrate this, the most secure facility on Earth. If the AUTOBOTS have a secret that will make them vulnerable it will be hidden here. RAVAGE intends be in and out before his enemies even know he's there. Just in case there's more here than he bargained for, he's outfitted himself with a little extra firepower. After all, when speed and stealth can't see him through, a few well-placed missiles often do the trick.

Unfortunately for him, AUTOBOT FLAK and ROLLBAR know that RAVAGE can't resist a target as tempting as this secure AUTOBOT facility. Detectors built just to catch RAVAGE in the act are all over this base, and the two AUTOBOT warriors are ready to spring into action at a moment's notice, with more than enough firepower to see RAVAGE captured or destroyed.

ARCEE and her sisters have hunted SIDEWAYS before, and he has always escaped. The three AUTOBOTS had to beg OPTIMUS PRIME for another chance to bring him down.

Now they've tracked him to yet another slum, hiding in the ruins of an abandoned munitions factory in the middle of a war zone. He left few clues, but the triplets are expert trackers, impossible to avoid even for a world-class spy like SIDEWAYS.

For his part, SIDEWAYS knew he was being hunted. He has seeded his hiding place with dangerous traps, and secured an escape route on which he can make full use of his speed. The three motorcycles have never captured him before, and he intends not to let this be the first time.

If he had thought to ask the other AUTOBOTS, MUDFLAP would have learned that going after STARSCREAM alone was a bad, dangerous idea. But MUDFLAP has never been one to skip doing something just because it's a bad idea.

He came across some intel that hinted about the location of the dangerous DECEPTICON ace, and decided to follow up on it. After all, OPTIMUS PRIME wouldn't have recruited him into his elite group of DECEPTICON hunters if he wasn't an awesome warrior. Besides, MUDFLAP took on CONSTRUCTICON DEVASTATOR. STARSCREAM should be a pushover.

High above, STARSCREAM circles, wondering if this is a trap. There's no way, he thinks, that this little AUTOBOT came out here to fight on his own. The flier knows he can take almost any single AUTOBOT with ease, but it's rare they travel alone. He's been beaten so many times lately that even with a target as welcoming as MUDFLAP, he's tempted to just run away.
