We've received this quick update from Reprolabels.com that we wanted to pass along.

We have launched a new promotion for ROTF-inspired symbols. For each $20 you spend on TF sets, you will receive a large faction symbol set, printed metallic on on transparent stock, which features symbols for NEST, Fallen, Bots and Cons. Justin did an amazing job with the graphics on this one:

We also have full upgrade sets for Animated Shocky, in both purple and grey flavors, designed by Justin Goguen:

They're the enemy of all non-Mint-in-Box toy collectors. To many of us Transformers fans, they are the last hurdle before we take our precious figures out of their plastic prisons. Some are easy, some are agitating, and some are just excruciatingly painful to deal with. (Have a go with the Titanium series lately?) No matter what vaccines we have, whether it is clippers, scissors, or swift fingers, twist-ties are like a virus that always get to us every time we buy a Transformer!

And now we come to the gist of this story, as our website's creator, Ryan, stumbled upon a revelation when working on the upcoming galleries of Battlefield Bumblebee and Infiltrator Soundwave. Instead of the usual plastic and metal combination of twist-ties, the figures were held in with twined paper ties. Now one might wonder what the big deal is with the change of material in twist-ties. Well, they are more environmentally friendly, and that's exactly what Hasbro told us at Botcon 2009

Are you guys looking into moving away from using so many twist ties?
We are looking to move away from them and moving towards smaller packaging which is more biodegradable. In the future you’ll see smaller packages with Tam, which is easier to cut and biodegradable.

Take a look at the change below, as many will be dealing with these when the Battlefield Bumblebee vs. Infiltrator Soundwave two-pack is sent out to mass retail.

So there we have it, looks like the nightmarish twist-ties are a figment of the past! Have any stories of the wrong doings you've experienced with twist-ties? Share it with us in the Energon Pub!

The last time Transformers and Building Blocks had a fully fledged union was Built To Rule, back in 2003 that coincided with the Armada toy line. Unfortunately it did not end so well. Fast forward 7 years, and we look to have another union between building blocks and Transformers, as Takara gives their shot with their Transformers Animated toy line. Optimus Prime and Bumblebee are the first two selections to get the Diablock treatment, images courtesy of Red Leader of Kapow Toys.

Yizhi512 of TF08.net has kindly provided us with images of two figures that we reported on earlier. They are Jetpower Optimus Prime and Voyager Megatron. No additional information can be provided other than what is in the previous news post, however we'll remind you here too. Jetpower Optimus Prime looks to essentially be a one-piece Transformer, being the combined mode of Jetfire and Optimus Prime. Optimus can tow Jetfire in alternate mode. No class size is designated. Megatron is simply a darker, more movie-accurate repaint of the Voyager class toy, which was begging for a repaint in it's original greyish green colours. Check out the pictures below.
