There´s a picture making its way around the internet of what´s supposed to be the box for a reissue of the G1 Fortress Maximus. I´m going to be unusually blunt here. The thing´s a fake. Hasbro isn´t putting out Fort Max in any form but the Heroes of Cybertron PVC. If this one turns out to be true, I´ll eat my hat!

Has a prototype picture of an ALPHA Q (QUINTESSON) figure surfaced or is it a fan-made custom figure? Check out the pictures for yourself at CosmicRust.com: Picture 1 and Picture 2. If this figure is indeed the real deal, it will mark the first time that one of the Quintessons have made it to the official toyline and the second time that a non-Transformers figure has made it to the official toy line (the first being the human Kicker from Energon).

In other news, rumors are running rampant that the Shockwave figure featured on an upcoming issue of TOYFARE will NOT be called Shockwave. Sadly, the rumors claim that the logical Decepticon will be called "Shockblast." Find out what information the phone calls to Hasbro are revealing here.

If this rumor is true, only one thought comes to mind: "Hypothesis: This is illogical."

Recently posted at CosmicRust.com is an email from a TF fan named Bodycount claiming the figure as his own personal kitbash: "That Alpha Q you posted is not a prototype..its actually a kitbash. my kitbash. Skunkobot decided to play a cruel joke on everyone [and] he blew it out of porportion and I apologize for any trouble ..."

Oh well ... one can hope! Incredible work Bodycount!

In one of the most recent cover of Toy fare, in their 80´s toys tribute, we
can see an Unknown Transformers wearing the Decepticon logo, with a head very similar to the old Classic Shockwave from Generation One. No name for this guy was given yet, but we can think of Shockwave name, you´ll see why.

Note #1 from Seibertron: For those of you who are doubting this would be Shockwave because Tidal Wave is called Shockwave in Japan, remember that the original G1 Shockwave´s Japanese name was Laserwave.

Note #2 from Seibertron: Per the request of one of ToyFare´s editors, we have removed the image of this cover. When images are able to be published again of this figure, we will post them here for all to see!

Just when you thought it was safe to say you´d completed your Armada/Micron Legend collection, this surfaces! The figure in question has been making its rounds among some of the more hardcore collectors for awhile now. Is this another of the Factory Made Fakes that were so popular last year? Could it be a legit Lucky Draw item to be handed out shortly? Does the world really need another STD Convoy repaint? These questions and many more will be answered in the near future, so keep ´em glued to this page!

With the news that Takara´s going to reissue Targetmaster Hot Rodimus, the fan community has been going crazy speculating that this could mean that certain OTHER re-issues they´ve done may be getting the "Targetmaster Treatment." Among figures that´ve already been reissued that could be repainted and re-packaged are Meister (Jazz) as Stepper and Inferno as Artfire. This doesn´t only seem possible, but likely. With Hasbro echoing Takara´s reissues, could it be only a matter of time before Artfire and Stepper are actually available in US stores? Keep ´em glued to this space for any further updates on this fun little rumor...

By now you´ve all seen the upcoming Mazda Alternator. And you´ve all probably said to yourselves, "Golly Jee, I don´t know what Transformer name it´s going to have!" Alright, so you might not have said "Golly Jee," but you were wondering. Well, so was I. And apparently so were the bunch of people who flooded my inbox with their guesses. Thanks everyone, who sent in their suggestions. It seems the two most popular choices are Cliffjumper and Jazz. The head and design of the body are definately reminicent of Jazz (or "Autobot Jazz" as he´s now called on Hasbro´s shelf clogging reissue.) We might not know for awhile, especially considering it´s not set to hit shelves until September, and we didn´t find out that the Corvette Alternator was going to be named Autobot Tracks until very recently.

The following information was obtained from a comic shop owner in the UK:

If you´re across the pond and enjoy Hard Hero´s Transformer busts and statues, you´ve probably noticed that unless you buy them at Forbidden Planet, you´re paying through the nose! That´s because Forbidden Planet was the only UK retailer able to buy directly from Hard Hero. But no more, Forbidden Planet no longer has the exclusive rights to distribute the Generation One statues and busts. Seems fans have already noticed the prices coming down on such items as the Giant Devastator bust. If you´ve been holding off on these, now´s your chance to get ´em at a more reasonable price!
