There has been much talk of Reveal the Shield G2 Optimus Prime, which should be available soon, talk of it's...
Incredible amount of articulation
Good detail
Its engineering
The fact that it has a chest you can open to reveal a (non-removable) Matrix
However there have been complaints;
Horrible colour scheme
Not enough paint apps
Horrible looking head
Horrible looking hands
Horrible feet
No trailer
No gun
Flames (shall they burn in hell)
Do you want this toy but feel like a few of the above mentioned flaws should be corrected then, well you might have your wish come true!
A post over at HK-TF.com's forum gives us a look at what might be an upcoming 3rd party product meant for "completing" G2 Optimus Prime. It's currently unknown which company will be producing this set.
For simplicity's sake we'll just pretend that this is in fact an upcoming product. What we can tell from the images the set comes with;
A new sword
New feet
New Head
Possibly new hands (the position of them in the images makes it hard to tell if they are new or if it's just an optical illusion)
Oh and a trailer which can turn into a battle station and combine with Optimus Prime
The trailer looks pretty close to that of the original G2 Laser Optimus Prime figure, but the silhouettes of both modes do reveal a few differences.
We have mirrored all images, however you can
click here and see the original post over at HK-TF.com.

"That's old school, yo. That's like... That's Cybertronian."
And that's right, you'll be getting a whole lot of Skids and his twin brother Mudflap in the upcoming Transformers movie this summer,
Dark Of The Moon. Images have surfaced on 4chan, revealing that Skids will be receiving a
brand new figure in the
Deluxe class. The young Autobot Chevrolet Beat is deco'd in black bright green and is well armed with a 'MechTech' gun. It is likely that Mudflap will also receive the same treatment with a brand new mold as well. Since the original source contains questionable content, the images can be viewed on
Youtube. The images can also be found on
ACToys.net.

DOWNLOAD EPISODE 11: THIRD PARTY CRASHERS
Another two weeks has flown right by, and the Twincast is back on the scene with a brand new episode for your listening pleasure! Check it out this week as we bring the praise and smacktalk on all the latest Transformers news!
First up, all the newest and upcoming figures from
Generations and
Reveal The Shield! Can we say enough good things about these lines? I think not!
Of course, these aren't the only highly-anticipated Transformers toylines. So much news, so many leaks, but what are we really getting, and not getting, for
Dark of the Moon toys?
As much as we love official product, no one can deny that Third Party companies have well and truly crashed the Transformers party. This week, the Twincast takes a look at some of the coolest unofficial products on the market, with topics including:
And who could forget the "Ask the Twincast" segment? This week's question comes to us from Seibertron.com member Sabrblade. He wants to know: "What do you think of The Headmasters? How does it compare to the first three seasons of the G1 cartoon? Does it fit in with those better than "The Rebrith"? Was "The Rebirth" handled better than The Headmasters was? Which version had the better characters? What were the main pros and cons of this series?"
Thanks for tuning in! That's all for this week, keep your browser on Seibertron.com for all your Transformers needs, and we'll see you in two weeks!

Deep, deep diving! The ever popular hovercraft is back in the
2011 Reveal The Shield toy line. A repaint of Hunt For The Decepticons Voyager
Sea Spray,
Deep Dive is deco'd in olive green and brown. Images courtesy of
TFclub's Taobao give us our first look at a real and non-photoshopped Deep Dive. Sad about not seeing his bio? Hasbro revealed it
earlier;
DEEP DIVE loves the sea. Floating on the calm, dark blue waters of the deepest ocean with land nowhere in sight, he can finally relax and reflect. Far away from DECEPTICONS and AUTOBOTS alike, he contemplates the true meaning of life. He appears outwardly calm, but inside his mind roils with philosophical concepts both complex and mundane. One day soon, when the war finally ends, he hopes to share his thoughts with his fellow warriors, and show them that there are more important things in life than mere victory.

A Transformer named Spastic certainly did not leave UK Transformers fans ecstatic.
A few months ago, a Power Core Combiners Five-Pack was revealed to have the name '
Spastic', and controversy ensued - likely the first non-movie Transformers news to hit
newspapers in quite sometime. Hasbro responded back to Seibertron.com stating that '
the toy will not be released in the UK', despite that, the toy's release around the rest of the world will be going by another name -
Over-Run with Stunticons. The change can also be contributed to the fact that some UK chains have imported Power Core Combiners from North America. The name Over-Run hasn't been used since
Armada/
Universe, and this PCC Commander certainly does not homage the name's past.
On to the toy, Over-Run is an orange and purple repaint of
Leadfoot. His drones are repaints, composed of a mix and match of
Rallybots and
Destructicons. Links lead to Seibertron.com's galleries of these figures. Check out Over-Run's packaging in the images below!

Fans of the Legends class toys will be happy to know that they'll be getting quite the variety in the Transformers
Dark Of The Moon toy line. We've seen
Bumblebee and a Nascar, and now we've got a look at a
troublesome Autobot and a repaint of a Decepticon enforcer. Images from
ACToys.net member bot show Bumblebee, alongside with
Skids and a repaint of
Barricade.
Skids is deco'd in his darker DOTM colorscheme, while this repaint of
Barricade looks more like a normal Police cruiser. Check out the images over at
ACToys.net!
More images of what Skids and Mudflap will look like in Transformers DOTM can be seen
here.

Ratchet,
Rescue Ratchet,
Premium Ratchet,
Desert Tracker Ratchet, and
Night Ops Ratchet. The Movie-verse Voyager Ratchet mold has quite the longevity, and it's track record will be continued into the
Dark Of The Moon toyline. We've seen pictures of the main Autobot heroes, Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Ironhide, and at last we get
Ratchet. The toy looks spot on to the Ratchet seen on the
Dark Of the Moon set, deco'd in green and white, with the E4 and "Search and Rescue Fire Dept" logos. Images courtesy of
Taobao member moonhyaoyu, check them out

The "Bots of Honor" project is done by the same group that bring us the weekly Transformers: Mosaics. This project is well and truly on track for release in the next couple of months, and to help keep it fresh in our minds, they'll be posting a 'mugshot' of a different character each week.
Naturally, why not start with the star of the series; OPTIMUS PRIME...
You can follow the project on

Movie fan site
Comicbookmovie.com has posted a list of projected release dates for the trailers that will preview the big 2011 blockbusters. Among those listed are two more trailers for Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon-another teaser due this winter and a full length trailer coming in the spring. Teaser number two is expected to debut in conjunction with the upcoming release of
I Am Number Four, another Michael Bay film being released on February 18th by Steven Spielberg's Dreamworks Pictures. The full length trailer is rumored to debut a few months later, arriving in theaters on May 6th (listed as the 5th) with Marvel's highly anticipated film
Thor: The First Avenger.
While these dates certainly seem logical, please treat them as rumors for now until Michael Bay or Dreamworks officially announces them.
