IDW Publishing have updated their online catalog with a new cover and synopsis for AHM #14.

While Issue #13 will deal with Prime and Ironhide, and Decepticon testing on the Matrix, the two stories contained within Issue #14 will delve deeper into the backstory of Sunstreaker, as well as see the return of two Decepticons last seen in Revelations.

Also new from IDW is the Tales of the Fallen mini-series. Set just before ROTF, "Tales of the Fallen" #1 will feature Sam Witwicky out on the town, trying to have some fun without his Autobot guardian.

Also up for preview is a synopsis and first cover for Best of the UK: Prey.

No release date information has been set for these titles, but expect them to appear on shelves in late summer (winter for the Southern Hemisphere) 2009.

Stay tuned to Seibertron.com for more news on these series as it comes to hand.

25 years of Transformers comic!

Simon Furman, one of the best known Transformers comic writers, tells
Totalscifionline.com why Transformers has remained so popular over the past
25 years

"From the classic 80s versions of the characters to Beast Wars to the movie
universe and beyond, Transformers is always keeping pace with each
successive generation of kids, and many of those kids stay engrossed and
excited by Transformers all the way into adulthood. Why? Because of the
amount of detailed and loving background work and story content that goes
into each reinvention, both from Hasbro and the creators involved in comics,
animation and movies. There's a real three-dimensional nature to both the
characters and the world(s) they inhabit.

"Back when we doing the UK Transformers comic in the 80s, my approach was
never to write down to kids or pull punches with the nature and reach of the
stories we were telling. Our audience responded very positively to that, and
it's another part of why, I think, those young fans kept reading, watching
and enjoying Transformers as they grew up. I still try bring those 'adult'
sensibilities to my Transformers work today, because the movies have brought
another new generation of kids into the fold and my aim is to keep them
reading!"

It was on this day, twenty-five years ago that the first product of the franchise we all know and love hit newsstands: Marvel's first issue of Transformers came out twenty five years ago today. That would make today the day the first Transformers product was released, and is the birthday of this franchise as such. Back in 1984, who would have thought we'd still see Transformers today? Let alone a series of high-budget films, action figures, and comics.

Today is truly a grand day to be and Transformers fan, so celebrate it with us, here at Seibertron, and discuss your thoughts on this.

Our friends at Apocalypse Comics have given us a sneak peak of two exclusive covers from the very popular All Hail Megatron series. Here's what they had to say ...

Hey Guys,

Last year we did an Exclusive Variant cover to All Hail Megatron #1 (The Killing Joke Homage), this year we are doing exclusive covers for issues #12 & #13. You can let your readers know that the comics will be available from Apocalypse Comics, though the cover for issue #12 (a homage to the Amazing Spider-Man issue #50 cover) will be available at the London Film and Comic Con along with cover artist Casey Coller who will be signing the comics all weekend and the cover for issue #13 (a Jurassic Park homage) will be available at the Auto Assembly TF Convention along with cover artist Nick Roche and the voice of Grimlock, Gregg Berger, who will both be signing all weekend.

Thank you very much for your help. It is very much appreciated!!!

My Very Best,

Mario

The man responsible for the two Ark Addendums, Jim Sorenson has once again updated his blog Disciples of Boltax with another page that had to be cut from the final edit of the Addendum's.

In the spotlight this week is a page containing location shots and equipment featured in the G1 episode S.O.S Dinobots.

In other related Ark news, Jim also mentions that he is coming close to his deadline for the Amalgamated Complete Ark book, where he is able to "pick a few bonus pages to insert (we don't need two copyright pages, for instance, so I get a few extra pages)".

A snapshot of the cut S.O.S Dinobots page is featured below.
To check out the full update, including the full page, head on over to Jim's blog by clicking here.

IDW Publishing's Editor-in-Chief Chris Ryall has updated his blog RyallTime with the lineart version of Guido Guidi's cover for the upcoming Transformers Spotlight: Metroplex.

Guido Guidi is providing the alternate cover for the Marcelo Matere drawn comic.

The cover reflects the draft version that was first spotted at the NYCC, as we reported earlier.

Metroplex has certainly been eating his vegetables, and if this cover is anything to go by, will be portrayed as much larger than in previous series.

Spotlight: Metroplex is slated for release in July 2009.
