Well, kind of.

While All Hail Megatron has been extended to 16 issues, this Wednesday the 24th of June will see the release of the 12th and final issue of Shane McCarthy's original story. (The next four issues will be used to expand on the original story).

It all started back on July 10th 2008, with the release of Issue #1.
One year later, All Hail Megatron comes to an end

All Hail Megatron #1 set the story one year later than the events last seen in Revelations #4 (Spotlight Sideswipe) which itself would not be released until October 2008, with the events of Maximum Dinobots occurring in the interim.

All Hail Megatron was a step in a totally new direction from a writer new to Transformers comics, and divided the fandom with it's new take on the Universe that had been previously built by Simon Furman from when IDW first gained the Transformers license in 2005.

Now with the release of Issue #12 only a day away, will we finally know the full story Shane McCarthy had intended from the start.

So what are your thoughts and feelings on the series?
Did IDW get this right?
Were the old Simon Furman penned stories too complex and convoluted for the casual reader, and was there a need for a new angle?
Did Shane McCarthy's work fill you with glee or anger?
Where do the Transformers Comics go from here?

Let us know what you think about All Hail Megatron Issue #12, as well as the entire series, now that you have read the entire story.

simonfurman.wordpress- Long-time Transformers scribe and fan, Simon Furman discusses the UK Revenge of the Fallen comic, and the UK exclusive comic strips involving many movie characters.

"IT BEGINS AGAIN…
June 18, 2009

With the official UK release date of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen now looming, Titan have unveiled the first issue of its all-new Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen comic (issue #1 on sale today, June 18th). Re-starting from issue #1 the premiere issue comes with a fresh new look and an all-new (UK exclusive) comic strip, which ties into the movie and spotlights the Twins, Skids and Mudflap (along with a whole host of other new characters, including Soundwave, Ransack, Ravage, Sideways, Grindor, Sideswipe and more). The strip is written by me with art by Jon Davis-Hunt, who’s undertaking ongoing art duties on the title! And as if that wasn’t enough, there’s more comic strip (in the shape of All Hail Megatron), free dog tags, free sticker album (and stickers), character profiles and competitions."

The Universe of the Transformers is vast, and populated by many characters. Their universe is a large tapestry, made up of the stories and points of view of countless experiences that serve the larger whole.

These are some of those stories. This is:
TRANSFORMERS MOSAIC: "A Brief Madness."

It should be noted that while this project has been recognized by IDW Publishing and Hasbro, none of the works presented have been commissioned or solicited by either company. The stories are not official canon, except where noted. These stories are the result of Transformers enthusiasts taking the time out of their busy days to contribute to a universe they love. No one has been paid for the production of these stories.

Transformers comics writer Chris Mowry has updated his blog The Full Mowry with an update regarding the success of the IDW Movie comics on iTunes, as well as posting an interesting tidbit of information regarding his earlier work, the Sequel to the first Transformers movie: Reign of Starscream

In somewhat related news, Starscream returns! Well, kind of. Just found out today that TRANSFORMERS: THE REIGN OF STARSCREAM is going back to press. I'm seriously stoked about that because not only is the first thing I ever wrote professionally, but it's also my favorite story. I just love that guy and have some great memories of working on that. Heh, there's some not -so-great ones, too, but we'll save those.

No Further information is given regarding the reprint, but stay tuned to Seibertron.com for all your news updates as they come to hand.
