Simon Furman has updated his blog with his tentative San Diege Comic Con Schedule, and teases a new Transformers series he is working on to be announced sometime before then.

"Plans for my three days at this year’s San Diego Comicon have advanced further, so here’s my new (mostly confirmed) schedule for the event:
Friday 24th: may or may not make it along to the IDW panel at noon. News of my new TF series should already have broken by then, so I’ll be around (though maybe on the sidelines) to answer any (well, within reason) questions.
Sat 25th: 3-4PM at the DC/Wildstorm stand, then 4-5PM at the DK booth (2913-G in the Lucasfilm Pavilion). I may have to run to be there on time!!
Sun 26th: 10-11AM at the IDW stand, where I’ll be available to sign copies of All Hail Megatron #13 (and whatever else), then 2-3PM at the DK booth (Transformers: The Movie Universe, TF Ultimate Guide et al).
That’s it for the moment. Keep an eye out for more updates, right here, over the next week!"

The San Diege Comic Convention spans July 23-26th at the San Diego Convention Center.

All Hail Megatron Coda is set to come to stores next Wednesday, July 22nd (according to IDW's July Newsletter). So this week we have a 5 page preview of this piece of extension to the original AHM series, issue #13.

Of particular note is the return of fan-favorite Transformers artist Don Figueroa to the G1 Transformers universe again.

You can see the five page preview at ENI pop culture network's Transformers section (Tformers).

The preview shows early years of Optimus Prime's and Ironhide's relationship, and the impact that Ironhide has had on the great Autobot leader.

Re: All Hail Megatron #13 Preview

The other half of the issue is focused on Starscream, and you can see a preview page (uncolored). In this part of the book, the Decepticons are "probing the mysteries of the Autobot matrix of leadership", according to IDW's description of AHM Coda #13.

Million Publishing, the printers of the fabulous Japanese Transformers collection books, Generations Vol.1 and Vol.2, have updated their website with information regarding the short manga to be included in the third book (each book has had a manga at the beginning featuring one of the volume's exclusive send-away toy characters).

This update shows a sample of the manga for the third volume, using Guido Guidi's art (with story by classic Transformers scribe, Simon Furman). This is just the beginning line work, but it gives you an idea of what is to come. The page features Megatron, Onslaught, and Astrotrain sketches.

You can check out the Million Publishing Transformers Generations Volume 3 update here. Generations Volume 3 has a release date of August 17th, 2009 release date.

Jim Sorenson has updated his blog with an addendum to his Ark and Ark II Compendiums.

This time Jim shares the MegaZarak (U.S. Scorponok) transformation designs, from Scorpion to city/battle station.

"One thing that's interesting is how certain models get lost over the years. For instance, Marvel didn't have the front of Optimus Prime's truck mode, which caused the back to be used in his Transformers Universe profile. I think MegaZarak was a lesser case of that. Most of the collections of models for him over the years, including the contemporaneously published Headmasters Encyclopedia, the Headmasters Laserdisk, and the fairly thorough Transformers: Generations, were only able to find his back."
