In an update to his
online blog Michael Bay has confirmed that the recently reviewed script for the forthcoming Transformers Moive is over 4 months old. he writes:
The script reviews -- I've seen, have been great but - I know they read a 112 page draft that was on record of four months old, but the dates they have given are wrong. We have done so much work since then.
I just hope people don't spoil it for people hearing everything in the movie before they see the movie - that's so lame.
I've anticipated leaks for months so I keep the only shooting script in my computer. Nobody has it, not even actors get a full script. Steven Spielberg taught me this trick.
He also confirms filiming is taking place at White Sands Missisle base and they have been shooting footage o CV-22's (Ospreys) as well as stealth fighters, low attack missile runs, A10 Warthogs and more. He writes:
I'm working on the military aspects of the film right now in New Mexico at Hollaman Air Force base and the Army's White Sands missile base. The military has been stellar with us. This is the largest military cooperation since Pearl Harbor and Black Hawk Down.
Friday we shot two CV-22's (Ospreys). They fly like aliens dropping out of the sky. We also shot stealth fighters and low attack missile runs (50 feet off the deck) A10 Warthogs. They look so deadly and mean.
We also shot in an army tank grave yard, that has more tanks in it then all of Iraq. The military cast Josh and Tyrese are surrounded with top notch Seal Team members.

BigBadToyStore has confirmed that the upcoming reissue of MP-01 Convoy is being cancelled in favor on the upcoming MP-04 "Perfect Convoy". This reissue of MP-01 Convoy will come with a plastic and diecast Trailer.
In addition, a listing in the latest issue of Previews Magazine reveals that Hasbro will be releasing a "20th Optimus Prime Updated Edition" in September 2006. This toy will be the same as the original 20th Anniversary Prime, except that it will include a collectors base with seven phrases from "Transformers: The Movie."
There is no confirmation that the Hasbro version will include a trailer or for that matter that the Takara version will include the collectors base.

Metrodome has send out its latest Transformers newsletter to its members. The newsletter talks about the collage DVD 'Cult Sci-Fi Legends, as well as giving an updates on the soon to be (UK) released MasterForce and Victory DVD boxes. The following has been taken directly from their newsletter.
"Dear Transformers fans,
We thought it was time we dropped you a line with some news on Transformers to light up the rest of your 2007, and we’re pleased to say that we’ve got plenty of good news.
First up we want to tell you about an up and coming title called ‘Cult Sci Fi Legends’, a new collection from Metrodome that features three hours of classic animation. Not only does it feature two newly subtitled episodes from Transformers Victory that have never been released in the West, it also features classic episodes from Visionaries, Inhumanoids, Shadow Raiders, Bucky O Hare and Transformers – ‘More than meets the eye’.
We’ve put this together to give Transformers fans a chance to sample some other revolutionary visions of science fiction, as well of course to give you a sneak preview of Transformers Victory – the final collection in the Takara series that’s being released in August this year. We believe that this collection brings forward titles from a time when writers and artists were willing to put ‘formula’ aside and truly step into the unknown, all these properties made concerted efforts to push the boundaries of imagination and style – and that’s why they’ve become cult classics decades later. So whether you just want to indulge your nostalgia or discover some new worlds – we heartily recommend this collection to you.
And all this is available for the frankly fantastic price of just £7.99 (inc p&p) from play.com. The collection is released on June 26th.
In other news - as many of you have heard, we’ve had to move our Masterforce release to July 3rd, but in the next few days we’ll send you details on the extras, full artwork and the chance to download the first episode absolutely free!
At the moment we’re hard at work finishing the subtitles on Victory and working on our forthcoming 20th anniversary release of Transformers The Movie, more news to come – but keep checking the forums at www.transformersdvd.com for updates.
All the best
Metrodome"
