Comic News International has posted the latest Transformes solicitation from IDW. This solicitation is about the upcomig 5-part mini-series, "Hearts of Steel". Here is what the solicitation said:
"The TRANSFORMERS characters have arrived in a new era-an era from yesteryear. IDW’s new TRANSFORMERS: Evolutions series features special out-of-continuity tales that focus on the ROBOTS IN DISGUISE in various eras throughout history. The property is under license from the Hasbro Properties Group, the intellectual property development arm of Hasbro, Inc.
In issue one of the 5-part debut mini-series, "Hearts of Steel," writer Chuck Dixon and artist Guido Guidi introduce the robots to the Industrial Revolution, where a charismatic hammer-man named John Henry discovers that a steam-drill is really an alien robot named BUMBLEBEE. Before Henry can process this information the DECEPTICONS attack-disguised as tanks, trains and walking engines. Is this all part of a larger scheme by STARSCREAM? And if so, will the other AUTOBOTS arrive in time to stop his nefarious plans?
"The TRANSFORMERS are such a unique brand of characters that it would just seem unfair not to be able to play with them in different and new sandboxes," states IDW Publishing Editor Dan Taylor. "TRANSFORMERS: Evolutions gives readers the opportunity to explore new possibilities with some of their favorite AUTOBOTS and DECEPTICONS in out-of-continuity events that have never been explored."
TRANSFORMERS: Evolutions "Hearts of Steel" #1, the first issue of an all-new TRANSFORMERS 5-issue miniseries, premieres in June 2006 with a 32-page full-color comic book with a suggested cover price of $2.99."
Included in the solicitation is a new image from "Hearts of Steel" which features Bumblebee! View the image

While surfing around on
Don Murphy's website looking for a publicity photo of him, I stumbled into a page on his site that really seemed to strike home to me. Hopefully, it'll strike home with the rest of the Transformers fan-base as well.
Don Murphy has a
Want List on his website of items he's personally searching for. Some of it sounds like Memorobilia, some of it sounds like things that might be dear to him. Either way, with such a massive fanbase (many of whom are constantly hunting down various items to complete collections), it seems like there's got to be a few of us who know somebody who can help track some of this stuff down for him. Maybe one of your parents has a collection of old Los Angeles Times newspapers or maybe one of you works in a music store that still has records (there's plenty here in Chicago) ... if I don't ask, we'll never know.
I think Don Murphy has done a tremendous amount for our fandom since he became involved with the Transformers Movie and I think we should show him a round of thanks by seeing if we can help him out. Are you guys up for the challenge? I feel like we're going on a scavenger hunt of sorts.
So from one collector to another, let's see what we can do to help out Don Murphy. If you think you know someone or if you have a way to contribute somehow, please drop me a line using the contact form
here or if you want to contact Don Murphy, you can send him a message on his
message board. If you're a news moderator on another Transformers website, please feel free to repost all of this information on your website to see if we can collectively spread the word. If nothing else, at least we can bring some more attention to his "
want list" to help him out however we can.
Let the "Don Murphy Scavenger Hunt" begin!
Here's Don Murphy's want list:
The following are all items that I would like to have, but cannot find for some reason.
If you have them and want to part with them, I can send cash, scripts, promotional things. Hookers and Gin. Whatever you want. You help me I can make you happy.
If you have anything here to part with email me details like what it is and what you want to MrDonMurphy@hotmail.com. And thanks for doing so.
- Brooks and Jane LPs- there's one called LIVE AND OTHERWISE and one called THEN AND NOW. They used to play live in Venice California in the 70s. Nobody has this but if you do...
- Los Angeles Times- The Main section in any condition as long as the front page is included. JUNE 18, 1952.
- Los Angeles Times- Sunday Edition- August 17th, 1969. Must include Section B- Local News. In fact that's the only section I need if you have it.
- Barnaby- regular sized paperbacks from Crockett Johnson reprinting comic strips. These books came from Ballantine in the 1980s. I think there are 6. Or 7. I have 1, 2 and 3.
- The Zone Box. This was a little box about the size of a scotch tape dispenser. You hit it. It played the Twilight Zone theme song. You ordered it by mail through the Zone magazine like in 1984. I have one someone. Or not. Can I have yours?.
- Doug Henning did a lot of Television Specials in the 1970s. The first Doug Henning's World of Magic show aired in December, 1975. I think there are 8 total. Please give generously. Note- this is not the Broadway show THE MAGIC SHOW which any retard could buy off Amazon.com and I did already. NOTE TWO- I have the first one on dvd- thanks Baxt!
- Any Muscular Dystrophy Telethon copy hosted by Dennis James in the late 70s. Must have the "Look at us we're walking" section.
- A video copy of Jack and the Beanstalk as performed by the Prince Street Players. Like ages ago.
So none of this stuff is gonna be easy to find. If it was I would have it already. Get it? Those video copies will be HELL to find. But I appreciate your hard work.
This is what YOU can do for ME!

Transfan2 of
Tfans.com has posted more pictures of Hasbro's Beast Wars 10th Anniversary Megatron. This time Transfan2 has provided very clear pictures of Megatron's Cyber Planet Key. The image shows the front and backside of the key. The key looks just like the Jungle Planet Keys in the Transformers Cyberton line. One important thing to notice about Megatron's Cyber Planet Key is that it has no code. Check out the images
here.

Carnage717 of
Allspark.com has reported some interesting information. Carnage717 reports while listening to Ferrell Show on Howard 101, which is on Satalite Radio, Josh Duhamel, who was doing an interview on the show, responded to a question asked by Ferrell about upcoming projects. He answered the question by saying Michael Bay offered him apart in the new Transformers movie. Duhamel did not say what part he was offered or if he ever took the part. Duhamel currently plays Danny on Las Vegas. Here is what carnage717 originally posted:
"I don't know how muc to put into this but I was listening to my Satalite Radio radio the other night. I was listening to the Ferrell Show on Howard 101 and he was interviewing Josh Duhamel who currently plays Danny on Las Vegas. Anywas during the interview Ferrel was asking him if he had any new projects coming up and he said Michael Bay offered him apart in the new Transformers movie. Like I said Im not sure how accurate this is, Im just quoting what Josh Duhamel said. He didnt say if it was for an actual role or as a voice actor. Anyways just thought I would post this. If anyones interested heres Josh's IMDB Info.

In their
German version of Transformers website Hasbro has included translations of full bios, planet information and Cyber Key codes! That is not all there is also an announcement, which has been translated by Nevermore of
the Trans-Europe Express Group. The announcement is:
"The big Transformers year is just around the corner. Starting in January 2007, Cybertron will be available in Germany!"
It may be a little late, but this is still good news for Transformers fans in Germany.

I finished importing all of the 243 old school news blurbs / articles from
July 2001 to May 2002 into the "official" SEIBERTRON.com news section. This might not be the biggest news to any of you, but after spending about 18 hours working on this I felt like I should at least make a news post about it. Prior to this import, the files were only available as text files, which is how they were originally published on the site back then. Well, now they're an official and (more importantly) permanent part of the site.
I've enjoyed my trip down memory lane ... and you can also by viewing all 243 of the old school news blurbs / articles
here. Enjoy!!!
