UPDATE: E! News is reporting that LaBeouf's publicist is shooting down the story as a "completely fabricated story" You can read E!'s report

Seibertron.com has learned of some breaking news regarding the injury sustained by Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen star Shia LaBeouf. Slashfilm.com is reporting that the young actor may have to have a finger amputated from his injured hand that he received during an accident he had recently.

According to the report, Shia called the producers of the Transformers sequel to inform them that his pinky finger may have to be removed due the immense damage it suffered during his July 27th vehicular accident. Director Michael Bay has already stated that filming around the injury has been an effort and we can only imagine the amount of havoc having to work around this new development would bring.

The New York Post has posted a story today regarding the voluntary admission of Artie Lange (Howard Stern Show) into a drug rehabilitation facility earlier this week. In the short blurb regarding the news, they added that , the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen star, Shia LaBeouf may be headed to rehab as well. Taken from the article:

...Shia LaBeouf may also be headed to rehab. LaBeouf broke his hand in a car accident last week and while it was not his fault, he was charged with DUI, his second arrest since November. Rehab can lead to reduced charges. "Judges like to see it," said a source. His rep would only say, "Right now, we're focusing on Shia's hand."

No other information regarding this possible turn of events was mentioned in the article. As previously reported here, Shia was exonerated of any fault in the accident as the driver of the other vehicle involved in the accident allegedly ran a red light. Police officials did claim that Shia appeared to be intoxicated when on the scene, but no reports of proof of intoxication have been furnished.

The biggest question regarding this rumor is how it will affect the filming of the upcoming sequel to Transformers the movie. Director Michael Bay has already stated that the movie will continue to film despite the incident, but the actor is due in court, later this month, for the arrest he was subjugated to for suspicion of driving under the influence.

Seibertron.com will continue to bring you updates on the situation as they become available.

Nevermore of TFW2005 has discovered something rather peculiar with recent interviews and articles regarding Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, currently scheduled for release on June 26th 2009.

The production of the film has been cloaked in secrecy, but now it seems certain interviews and articles have been retro-actively edited in order to hide sensitive information about the film that has already been released online.

***SPOILERS***

Many of you may remember two articles, one published by Comic Book Resources here and the other by the MTV Movie Blog here, in which IDW writers Chris Mowry and Simon Furman spoke about the Transformers Movie sequel and how IDW was preparing for the film with it's upcoming comic book releases. In these interviews, Mowry and Furman confirmed that IDW does have a copy of the film's script and that the "Fallen" from the title of the film will indeed be the comic-book character The Fallen.

Now it appears that both articles have been edited and are missing any mention of the Fallen appearing in the film or of IDW possessing a copy of the film's script, which contradicts director Michael Bay's statement here that only a select few from Paramount and Dreamworks have seen the full script. The MTV article is also missing a brief description of the film's opening scene, as well as the confirmation that the autobot Arcee was going to appear.

To read quotes from the un-edited articles, check our original story here or read the quotes below.

To read the edited MTV article here or the edited Comic Book Resources article here.

:
"It's interesting that the second movie is using this character called the Fallen, which is a character that we created back in the Dreamwave days for this big series called 'The Dark Ages' which tapped into what had gone before. So these names and institutions like The 13 are rolling on into different incarnations."

:
We're going to explore the background of The Fallen — the main villain of the movie — as well as expand on the ‘Reign of Starscream’ story that we’re doing and tie everything in to what this next movie is going to be [...] The next movie starts out with just tons of action and there’s obviously going to be a lot of questions, so we’re hoping to answer some of those beforehand.”

:
"I've been waiting for Transformers to be released on Blu-ray for a long time, and it was worth the wait," said director Michael Bay. Chud.com is reporting an interesting rumour (that cannot be confirmed at this time) regarding a returning character in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - returning, that is, with a brand new vehicle mode.

*SPOILERS BELOW*

Chud.com is reporting that the Decepticon leader Megatron will return - only this time as a tank, not a Cybertronian jet. Apparently, Megatron will be brought back by the Autobots, who need him to defeat the film's new villain, The Fallen.

Though this is all rumour and speculation, it is worth noting that Chud.com originally broke the news that The Fallen would be in the Transformers sequel - only time will tell how reliable this information is.

Read the report here.

:
Last week MTV essentially reran a story we ran months ago, but with different sources: yes, the villain in Transformers 2 is The Fallen, the Satan equivalent Transformer from the recent comic books. Now I'm coming at you with new TF2 news: Megatron is coming back.

OK, I don't think there's a soul out there who will be surprised when Megatron returns in Transformers 2*. If the current incarnation of the script follows the beats of a previous incarnation (which did not feature The Fallen), Megatron may be getting brought back by the Autobots, who need him to conquer the new menace. But I've learned that this time he won't be that weird alien jet. This time he's a tank.

Megatron apparently was a tank in the Transformers Generation 2 comic or toys or something (I don't know, I just looked it up on Wikipedia and I still don't get it), so this has some precedent. I imagine this is as close as we'll get to seeing him be a gun, since the movies appear to eschew the sort of size shifting antics that the comics and cartoons embraced.

*Assuming the damn movie even gets finished with Shia's hand injury and general problems.

Transformers Movie director Michael Bay has once again commented on Shia LaBeouf's recent car accident. After stating that the car crash, which left LaBeouf with an injured hand and co-star Isabel Lucas with head injuries, would not delay filming of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (source), Bay has now spoken with Access Hollywood to defend his Transformers movie star, saying he was not drunk at the time of the crash.

:
“You’re gonna see — that’s gonna go away,” Bay said. “That’s fresh news… He was not drunk. He was drinking hours and hours before.”

Bay also mentioned that LaBeouf's hand injury may even be worked into the script of the Transformers movie sequel.

'Cause people will sell anything on eBay. This has to be one of the oddest auctions we have shared.

'The eBay listing reads, "This is your chance to own a piece of Hollywood History... Own a piece of his shame. I just happen to live a few blocks from the crash site and collected some leftover souvenirs."

He adds, "The debris was collected afterwards and was in the public domain on the street. It's legal."'

You can check out the whole story at IMDB.com.

The saddest thing is, you know that it will sell to someone.

Director Michael Bay has dropped by his message board to comment on the script for the Transformers movie sequel, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, and to comment on how he and the production team have been trying to mislead fans by leaking false information and using placeholder names for the characters in the film.

View his message by clicking here.

:
The only full script for the movie exist with me and the original writer's. A select few crew members have read parts, some of the leads have read full scripts - but the number is under ten. One person from Paramount, three from Dreamworks.

We have leaked several scripts, some treatmentsand various scenes that are used to mislead the internet. We have mocked up wrong schedules and call sheets with fake scenes on them. When shooting scenes we don't refer to character names and use wrong faces on the poles representing different robots that are going to be placed in - It's a lot of work but seems to have worked out because no one knows the story of the movie besides Sam going to college.
