One other piece of movie-related news from Hascon deals with the second induction for the Transformers Hall of Fame, introduced by Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner - and featuring the producer of the Michael Bay directed movies from Paramount: Lorenzo di Bonaventura!
Starting with Transformers (2007), to Revenge of the Fallen, Dark of the Moon and then the new trilogy with Age of Extinction, The Last Knight and the next movie (plus of course the Transformers Universe: Bumblebee solo spin-off), di Bonaventura has been behind the scenes, helping shape what we have today in the live action universe. Check out the ceremony below, and head back here for the Susan Blu one that preceded it!
We return to the Hascon coverage that you may have missed, as more recordings have made it onto our YouTube channel - starting with the Prime Wars Trilogy panel that saw the likes of toy designers, comic artists, concept artists, and game developers all take the stage to discuss the various phases of the progression from Combiner Wars to Titans Return, now to Power of the Primes!
People taking the lead are John Warden, Mario Carreiro, IDW's Marcelo Matere, Space Ape's Adam Kramarzewski and David Erwin and the material included in the clip, and the gallery that accompanies it, range from the blueprint of the Prime Wars concept, running through used and unused concepts and designs (including Megatronus, Prima, a SkyShadow looking Thunderwing and more), plus the clips we've seen from Machinima's Titans Return and Transformers: Earth Wars. Check it all out below!
Enjoy designs behind the celebrated Combiner Wars chapter of the Prime Wars Trilogy, animated in partnership with Machinima, as well as a peek at the upcoming Titans Return animated series. Learn how Hasbro enlisted the fan universe to expand their story world and the beloved characters that have brought the story to life. Fans in attendance will also be the first to see exciting reveals from the popular mobile game Transformers: Earth Wars published by Backflip and developed by Space Ape games.
To celebrate the Digital HD home release of Transformers: The Last Knight, which took place on 12 September, Paramount got in touch to share the various extras and exclusives scattered around the internet - with some of the clips (StonehengeTucci) already newsed, but all collected in one place here, you can browse through them at your convenience!
The full DVD and BluRay release of the movie will be 26 September, but the extras are available now featuring cast, crew, extras, actors, and stunts. Check them out!
Celebrating the digital release of Transformers: The Last Knight, we have another behind the scenes clip from the fifth live-action movie directed by Michael Bay, featuring actor Stanley Tucci in his role as Merlin! One of the panels part of the Transformers scheduling at Hascon saw fiction creators and toy designers talk about the dark side of the Transformers: its villains! The panel saw the different members of the brand team pitching their favourite villain - including Shockwave, Beast Wars Megatron, Prime Starscream, Devastator, Soundwave and Predaking - against each other. The rules: no gods, no Titans. The players: John Warden, Vinnie D'Alleva, Hasbro's Michael Kelly, IDW Chris Mowry, Hasbro Studios Mikiel Houser, Matt Clarke, and David Erwin. The winner: check out the video and see!
Also included again here, is the reveal of the Unicron teaser image (as visually coordinated by Sara Pitre Durocher), revealed during a panel with Chris Ryall over the weekend, seen in this story here.
While Hascon might have ended a few days ago, we still have content to report on! Next on the list is a video from the Hascon panel featiring the two voice acting legends Peter Cullen and Frank Welker!
The voices of Optimus Prime and Megatron met up in Hascon's main hall, and talked about several topics, including their behind the scenes experience with Transformers, as well as the voice acting industry in General! Check out the full video below, from the point of view of Seibertron himself!
Site staff megatronus - taking part in Hascon 2017 with Seibertron himself - reports back from the Prime Wars Trilogy panel part of the event's activities! While we don't currently have images to show you due to some technical difficulties, we do have information on the Titans Return series that will follow Combiner Wars as of this November. Read on below for more, and stay tuned for updates throughout the day!
Machinima Titans Return series will be 11 episodes at 10 minutes each (150 minutes - feature film length). The fan response and critique that the Combiner Wars series was too short motivated Machinima to up the budget. They showed a trailer, and some storyboards.
Overlord will be part of the series - they wanted to make his part organic, and not shoehorn him in. Everything comes together in the 3rd episode (or act? Or segment?) that explains his involvement and fills plot holes.
Metroplex, Trypticon are shown. The importance of Windblade as a city speaker will be highlighted.
Release date: November, episodes to go live twice a week.

Courtesy of the United States Patent and Trademark Office, we have another application from Hasbro to report upon - leaving movie and toy fields behind, and moving into animation, it looks like they're expanding the Allspark Studios monicker with Allspark Animation! Probably related to the work currently happening with Boulder Media, the new Rescue Bots Academy and Cyberverse series, and the Cybertron prequel - but check out more info below, and join the speculation in the Energon Pub.
