We've known that this has been coming for years.

Since the Heavy Metal Warriors first faced off against each other back in 2003 we have seen HMW grow and develop into the wargame we all know and love to hate, but we also knew its time was running out and a new world would one day take its place.

Then, a month ago, this was released: The first teaser for HMW2.
The first peek into a whole new world and whet the appetite for what was to come.

Now, thanks to Omega Sentinel, we can get our next insight in to how some aspects of the future of Heavy Metal War will change.
Concentrating on the new dual-wield weapon systems and introducing the concept of 'Spark Points' to your transformations, the programmer who has taken Heavy Metal War and made it just that little bit more Heavy presents...

Set in unique environments across the globe such as Cairo and Shanghai, the game allows players to instantly switch between vehicle and robot modes as they drive, fly, fight and blast their way through intense, pressure-packed levels. The Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen video game is currently in development by Luxoflux for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system, and for Windows PC by Beenox Studios.

TF2 ROTF Game Teaser now online

Game and entertainment website IGN have posted an article and teaser trailer for the new Activision created Transformers 2 Revenge of the Fallen game.

The teaser trailer is from the PS3 version, and while contains no spoilers regarding the actual movie, it does contain a number of interesting clips.

Also of note is that the Transformers 2 Revenge of the Fallen game will differ across the various number of platforms it will be available on. Just like the original transformers Movie Game, the Nintendo DS will see both an Autobot and Decepticon version, will the PS3 and 360 versions will allow you to command both factions in the same game. The Wii and PS2 will have yet another version of the game that will play to the strengths of each system.

Marketed by Milton Bradley, this new game looks to be ready for release alongside the movie sequel due out this summer.

Currently at this time, the only information available is a picture of the box cover, with the phrases, "Blast Your Way To Victory", and "Kapow!" and some character battle art.

A two player battle game meant for the children, the cover does seem to feature the newly designed Megatron that is NOT supposed to be a part of the sequel.

As the movie nears, expect the marketing and cross promotion blitz to increase exponentially. You can see the original thread here.

The two war torn factions of Autobots and Decepticons continue their furious rampage on planet Earth. With destruction mounting heavily, the people of Earth feel helpless to combat it until a massive discovery is made.

Suspecting the humans have somehow tapped into Cybertonian technologies, the Decepticons call upon the one Transformer that can spell certain doom for them: Megatron!

Meanwhile, the Autobots repair their fallen comrade Jazz, only to discover what the Decepticons have done and call upon the only Autobot that can help ensure the survival of Earth, Optimus Prime.

HMW: Noticed the mission changes yet?

Hey guys,
OS has made some alterations to the Heavy Metal War missions!

As well as modifying the mission brackets to account for our new level 4's over the next few days, we've tweaked a few of the mission genration rules in the hope that they work a bit better for you all from now on.

1) ALL Predacon and Maximal mission weightings have set to the lowest amount so they should now ONLY triggered by a Max/Pred being active.
2) Likewise, Bot v Con and Pred v Max mission weightings have been raised so these should now be the auto generated ones.
3) ALL BW v G1 missions have been reduced to 4v4 participants
4) Pred v Max missions have been left at 6v6


So, drop in to HMW:GD and tell us you think, is it any better?
