In an update to his online blog Michael Bay has confirmed that the recently reviewed script for the forthcoming Transformers Moive is over 4 months old. he writes:

The script reviews -- I've seen, have been great but - I know they read a 112 page draft that was on record of four months old, but the dates they have given are wrong. We have done so much work since then.

I just hope people don't spoil it for people hearing everything in the movie before they see the movie - that's so lame.

I've anticipated leaks for months so I keep the only shooting script in my computer. Nobody has it, not even actors get a full script. Steven Spielberg taught me this trick.

He also confirms filiming is taking place at White Sands Missisle base and they have been shooting footage o CV-22's (Ospreys) as well as stealth fighters, low attack missile runs, A10 Warthogs and more. He writes:

I'm working on the military aspects of the film right now in New Mexico at Hollaman Air Force base and the Army's White Sands missile base. The military has been stellar with us. This is the largest military cooperation since Pearl Harbor and Black Hawk Down.

Friday we shot two CV-22's (Ospreys). They fly like aliens dropping out of the sky. We also shot stealth fighters and low attack missile runs (50 feet off the deck) A10 Warthogs. They look so deadly and mean.

We also shot in an army tank grave yard, that has more tanks in it then all of Iraq. The military cast Josh and Tyrese are surrounded with top notch Seal Team members.

The Alamogordo Daily News has reported on a press conference given on the morning of May 19th by the Holloman Air Force Base, regarding the Paramount motion picture of the Transformers, which will start shooting today. It was not until May 19th that the Holloman Air Force Base could officially confirm their involvement with the film.

The article gives an account of the statements made by Lt. Col. David Moore, 49th Fighter Wing commander as her addressed the press.

"As you know, we have been working in collaboration with Dreamworks studios over thel ast month or two preparing to support them in filming a major Hollywood motion picture out here at Holloman ... we see this as a perfect opportunity to showcase all of the great capabilities ... our airmen in action, our base".

1st Lt. Christian Hodge, is the person who made the initial contact between the base and the movie possible.

"I first found out about the moving surfing around online. In July of last year I first read about it, thinking, 'Hey, jets that change into robots ... Air Force jets.' So I called over to the studio (Dreamworks), got a high ranking executive on the phone ... about two or three months ago we got a call from a location scout."

"These guys are working so hard," he said."It's a huge endeavor. This is the best choice because of White Sands ...Holloman itself has been so engaging, arms wide open to try to help them."

Army Lt. Col. Paul Sinor has been linked with public relations for the base's Department of Defense. Sinor had the following to say on why the choice was made for this base.

"The reason this was selected is "it's a realistic portrayal of what the military does". That's one of the first criteria of military support, it has to be a realistic portrayal of the military. So this film, even though its somewhat "science fiction," what the military does in this film is a realistic portrayal of actual Air Force and Army personnel. We've worked with the director, Michael Bay, on a film before -- "Pearl Harbor " -- so we understand how (Bay and his team) operates, he understands how the military operates. We have a very good relationship."

"There is no cost to the taxpayer for these films. If you see them flying this airplane on the film, whatever that airplane costs per hour, the production pays it. It does not cost the American taxpayer a dime. The military you see in the film working as extras, they're on leave on that day and they're paid by the production. So it's not that this is our regular work day, but instead of working for national defense we're playing soldiers and airmen in a movie."

bittercold from SuperHeroHype.com has given some information about the US Air Force supporting the Transformers Movie! They will be using and filming a MC-130 for the movie. He also said that filming will be starting next week and they also will be filming in San Diego.

This is what he had to say:

"With the cast in place for Michael Bay's Transformers (see full details here), scooper 'bittercold' alerts us to a location where the production is likely to film next week:

I am not going to tell you how I know this information because it is hush hush... but lets just say I am affiliated with the air force... here is what I know.

Next week on Wednesday and Thursday a C-130J model from Little Rock AFB Arkansas is heading for Holloman AFB New Mexico for shooting on Transformers the movie. They might be taking on the roll of a MC-130. I know they are going to do attack rolls and manuevers. I also know that after Holloman they are heading on to San Diego... so there may be more filming there.

The point of this... the film is geting USAF support and there will be C-130s in the movie.

Believe it or not... but filming is starting next week
"

Beachtractor shared an image of what he was told is a teaser poster for next year's Transformers movie. As some of you might recall, Michael Bay stated that there will be a teaser trailer and poster available by July 4th. We're assuming this is a fake. Here's why ...

I would be highly skeptical of the below image for a couple of reasons and I mean no offense to Beachtractor. The image looks like something any of us with some Photoshop skills could create. I know a teaser poster is just that ... a teaser poster ... but this doesn't accomplish anything. It's a round ball that looks like something from the G2 space cube clips that were in the G2 "re-used" G1 episodes. Plus, if you look at the list of movies mentioned to be "upcoming" movies for the UK, it lists "She's The Man" which was released on April 7th, 2006 in the UK (March 17th in the US), according to Yahoo's UK movie website.

Below is Beachtractor's original post that he made on the SEIBERTRON.com Forums.

Ok, so I have a friend who works for Vue cinemas here in the UK. He works in marketing and does things with their website. Obviously he gets a lot of promo stuff and he just sent me this email he got from Dreamworks marketing guy. Note the last movie in the list and see the image……

Morning all

July campaign posters and tifs:
She’s The Man
Flushed Away
Dream Girls
Match Point
Transformers

FSDUs to follow.

Use as of 30/06
