Don Murphy has made another one of his updates on his board. Murphy has made a comment about the part for Sam/Spike being almost a done deal. The following has been taken from his post on his site.

"On Transformers it seems the amazing Mr. Bryce has been keeping you all caught up on our progress, so much so that I have little to actually report. I filed my notes with the writers- the structure and characters are great, the notes were just to help make things more "Transformery". Casting is going great and there seems to be almost a consensus for young SAM/SPIKE. Yes you've seen him before and yes you'll groove on him- should he end up with the role. The other roles are still being cast and things are looking good.

We are one month and one week away from shooting. I 'm pretty freaking excited and hope you all are too."

face and mouth designs very important to us...been working on that as ILM begins body modelling...

location semi finalists: Califronia,Nevada,Arizona,New Mexico,DC,Florida,New York,Massachusetts,Illinois,Michigan,Texas,Alaska and Canada.

Ian Bryce, the line-producer for the recently green lighted Transformers movie, has revealed a few more details in ragards to the movie on the board of Don Murphy! The following quotes from Bryce can be found here, here and here.

"Brad Alexander is NOT our pre-viz supe...he works for a company that did some pre-viz before we came onboard....our pre-viz supervisor is Steve Yamamoto and he is awesome....

Scott Farrar is the ILM vfx supe

There are two Jeff Mann's....one is a production designer and one is an ILM exec who used to be a model supervisor there..."

"Other key crew:
John Frazier - Special Effects
Allegra Clegg - Production Manager"

"No cast set yet....soon though....not accurate to say some faction of production wants celeb fest....think everyone wants good actors first - if they are celebs too that doesn't hurt...

yes, Deb Scott won an Oscar......fyi John Frazier and Scott Farrar have also won one..."

Ian Bryce, line producer of the Transformers movie which currently prepares itself to go into production, has once again lifted the veil a little bit more on the current status of the movie. Like last time, he posted his message on the don murphy board.

"Boston is unlikely as a location....casting is focused on human actors for now....voice actors will be later and all this end are aware of the fan feelings ...will be months before that casting happens....lots of humans to cast first.... first casting news may surface soon.....can't yet reveal which cars are in shop but they'll be joined soon by trucks....and other stuff...
Movie is not officially greenlit yet but we are gearing up for June shoot.....we hope that by next week we will be official....."

"robot list is pretty well defined in script but won't be revealed yet..."
